Neel Nadkarni, popularly known as NEEL, is an R&B/Pop, Bollywood-influenced singer-songwriter and producer based out of New York City. He has been performing since the tender age of 3, and has performed at venues like Lincoln Center, Madison Square Garden, and Irving Plaza in NYC.
Having opened for the likes of Jay Sean, Mickey Singh, Arjun, Ghulam Ali, Vishal-Shekhar and more, NEEL has become a rising star not only in America but also internationally. His musical abilities are not limited to his classically-trained vocal skills; NEEL is also a skilled instrumentalist playing the piano, keyboards, harmonium, & tabla. His songs ("1 Up", "Mashooqa", "Tera Deewana", "Take You Home", "Soniye", "Mud Aaja", and many others) have been featured on popular media outlets and TV / Radio Stations like the BBC Asian Network, B4U, BritAsia, Urban Asian, and more.
NEEL has had many achievements to date, such as being a Finalist on the highly-acclaimed reality television singing show "SaReGaMaPa", both Hindi & Marathi. He has composed the music for a Marathi film called "A Dot Com Mom". NEEL believes in the beauty of music and has collaborated with many artists such as Javed Ali, one of India's top playback singers; he was featured alongside Ali on a song called "Ishq Allah" from the short film "Finding Home".
NEEL uses his music to spread love and create a change in the community. He has supported Unicef's U.S. Fund for the earthquake in Nepal by raising over $2300, the prevention of farmers' suicides in the Indian state of Maharashtra by raising over $1300, Syrian refugees relief, and charities like March of Dimes, Samar, ASHA, and SAMHIN.
