8 Things I Want to See in ‘Alice in Borderland’ Season 3
Image
After two seasons, Netflix’s Alice in Borderland left us with emotional gut punches, brain-bending twists, and deadly games. And guys, it’s coming back for a third round, and honestly, I’ve got a wishlist. The second season tied up things almost too neatly. Though several lives were lost and hearts were broken, Arisu and the gang made it back to the real world, but then came the final shot — the Joker card.

Of course, Alice in Borderland Season 2 gave us a solid ending by teasing us with that card that flipped everything. Now, with Season 3 on its way, we’re stepping into uncharted territory, and writers have all the freedom to build a brand-new story while staying true to the gripping themes of the show. From the unexplored games to characters’ arcs left questionable, Season 3 has a tough task, but I have a few things I seriously hope they pull off.

Emily Rudd and Mackenyu Share a Wholesome Moment as Netflix Is All Set to Kick Off One Piece Season 2 Promotions
Image
As the second season of One Piece’s live-action adaptation nears its release, the cast is up and active again with promoting the show. For the new cast, the Instagram page has been feeding us plenty of content and talking about how they understand their roles.

The original Straw Hats, on the other hand, continue to prove to us why they were handpicked by Eiichiro Oda. Season 1 of One Piece’s live-action had already convinced us, but as they join in the second season’s promotions, their chemistry together is more apparent. Not to mention, fans absolutely love them.

Emily Rudd and Mackenyu, who play Nami and Zoro, respectively, in One Piece, attended Osaka Comic Con 2025 on 4th May. The two did a special stage appearance for One Piece fans.

During a photo session, Rudd and Mackenyu spontaneously began being cute instead of serious, throwing peace signs, showcasing how comfortable...

One Piece: After How Oda Has Treated Mihawk for Years, I Hope This Kuina Theory Never Comes True in Future
Image
With the variety of characters Eiichiro Oda has created for One Piece, it’s inevitable that some would get sidelined. Dracule Mihawk might be the biggest victim of this, despite being the top-tier swordsman in their world. He’s never had the chance to showcase his true potential.

While I will never stop advocating for his strength, sometimes Oda mishandles character arcs. It’s not just Mihawk; we’ve barely seen Dragon, and he soured Whitebeard’s character in the Wano Arc. The biggest beef I have with One Piece is how inconsistent or incomplete some arcs are, however rare they may be.

One character, in particular, suffers from this, and it’s Shimotsuki Kuina. She was Zoro’s childhood best friend, rival, and cousin, who died from a terrible fall down the stairs. She showed great promise to surpass Mihawk as the Strong Swordsman, so fans don’t let...

One Piece Theory: Imu Is Uranus, the Third Ancient Weapon
Image
The Supreme Leader of the World Government in One Piece, Imu, who sits on the empty throne, is one of the most mysterious characters in the series. His intentions and his identity have been kept a secret to make up for an enticing and thrilling revelation, most probably during the final war that will decide the fate of the One Piece world.

Among the many mysteries about Imu, the one that still startles fans the most is his access to the Ancient Weapon, Uranus, which he used to destroy an entire island and wipe it off the face of the One Piece world. It is one of the most dangerous weapons in history and thus makes Imu potentially the biggest antagonist of the series.

‘This makes his interaction with Tashigi even worse’: Kuina’s Real Reason of Death Maybe a Dark Story That I Hope One Piece Won’t Confirm
Image
Eiichiro Oda gave all of the Straw Hat Pirates a tragic backstory, but noticeably held back on giving Zoro one that would devastate the fans. While others lost parents and their entire clan, he lost his childhood best friend and rival by pure accident. Or so her father claims.

Kuina is a prominent figure from Zoro’s past. She was the strongest swordsman in the dojo, but she knew her gender held her back from a future. Zoro denied this, and they vowed to become the strongest together. However, out of nowhere, Kuina died from falling down the stairs.

Considering Oda doesn’t typically shy away from dark stories in One Piece, it’s strange that Zoro got the most tame one.

10 Anime Characters Who Became Unbelievably Powerful Despite Being Regular People
Image
In anime, overpowered characters are nothing new. However, characters who rise to become unbelievably powerful despite their status as regular people offer much more satisfying progression. Underdogs who defy all odds and rise to become legendary. Power doesn't always translate to brute strength. Sometimes, power takes many different forms, such as intelligence, training, and willpower.

While not every regular character in anime will rise to become powerful, quite a few of them have become fan-favorites because of their ability to rise as heroes despite their flaws and weaknesses. Not every anime character has the luxury of being part of a powerful lineage. And not every character in such a lineage is powerful. Ultimately, anime characters who strive for greatness despite their inherent weaknesses make some of the best underdogs in fiction.

The Perfect Squid Game Replacement Sets Release Window With First Look
Image
Squid Game has become the biggest series on Netflix worldwide, breaking all records and topping all the charts. Luckily, following the upcoming Squid Game Season 3, which will wrap up the series, Netflix will offer a replacement.

The highly underrated Japanese sci-fi thriller Alice in Borderland didn't reach the same success as the South Korean dystopian thriller but offers the same excitement. Netflix previously confirmed Alice in Borderland is renewed and would return in 2025, and now director Shinsuke Sato confirmed on XSeason 3 will premiere on the platform in September.

“He is as anti-freedom as a character as it can get”: Eiichiro Oda Will Betray the Core Message of One Piece if Luffy Becomes the Next Reincarnation of Nika
Image
From the beginning of One Piece, the one thing that the series protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy, has been adamant about is the freedom that a pirate experiences while sailing through the seas. In fact, the reason he wants to become the King of the Pirates in One Piece is so that he feels that freedom and enjoys his journey with his crewmates till the end.

However, while Luffy’s feelings toward freedom are understandable, his role as the main character of One Piece makes it quite difficult for him to attain his goal. From dealing with incredibly dangerous enemies to getting his fate entangled with the history and liberation of the entire world, Luffy has to take on many difficult challenges.

These duties essentially come from him being the reincarnation of Sun God Nika, who is always at the center of...

Zoro’s Friend Kuina Is Alive and Is a Marine Helping Koby: Eiichiro Oda Has Already Debunked This One Piece Theory
Image
Of all the bizarre One Piece theories, Zoro’s connection with Kuina stands out the most. It played a major role in the mosshead’s self-discovery as well as development. This is true for his unyielding dream to be a great swordsman.

But what truly vexed the fans was Kuina’s death with some even calling it a hoax on several occasions. And though it seems ideal, it only got worse with this fan theory.

The most common misconception fans have is that of a Marine’s similarity with Kuina. Fans even went so far as to say that the latter is a reincarnation of the dead character. But there’s a catch to that as well.

Interestingly, Oda debunked this myth a long time back. And though the series doesn’t actively talk about reincarnation, it does embody...

20 Best Zoro Quotes In One Piece
Image
As the first character to join Monkey D. Luffy's crew, Roronoa Zoro is one of the most important pirates in the world of One Piece. Despite his horrible sense of direction, he possesses a unique perspective and a surprising amount of wisdom that has been integral in moving the crew forward. Thanks to these traits and his skills as a swordsman, Zoro consistently ranks as the second-most popular character in the entire series.

Zoro is determined, loyal, not afraid to speak his mind, and regularly serves as the Straw Hat Pirates' voice of reason. Since the aspiring swordsman is Luffy's First Mate, it's up to him to fill the role of leader when the captain is absent or occupied with other matters. With these characteristics on top of his many cool battles, Zoro has many noteworthy quotes over his time on One Piece.

The Best Alice In Borderland Characters, Ranked

The Netflix show Alice in Borderland is home to many eccentric yet grounded characters. Despite the very unrealistic nature of the Borderlands, there are many characters who are written to be thrillingly realistic and relatable. This is because the Borderlands thrive on typical human traits, like curiosity. In short, the players' human emotions are what make the games so thrilling and dangerous.

From the game masters' corrupted mentality to the fearful and determined players, there are many captivating characters in Alice in Borderland. The wide spectrum of emotions and personalities that characters in Alice in Borderland display is truly impressive. However, some characters stand out for their loyalty, selflessness, or abilities, such as Chota and Karube.

This Zoro Cursed Sword Theory is an Eye-Opener: Eiichiro Oda May Have Already Confirmed It in One Piece Episode 2

Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece is incomplete without Roronoa Zoro and his extraordinary popularity can give fierce competition to the main characters of many popular anime. His fighting style sets him apart from the countless swordsmen across different anime.

One of the biggest expectations that One Piece fans had with the finale saga was that it would make some big revelations that would clear the mysteries embedded within the story. However, Eiichiro Oda has evidently made the series even more confusing by introducing characters and events that still pose a mystery for One Piece fans.

The most recent ones among them are the mysterious characters who have entered the Elbaph castle. While one of them has been confirmed to be the evil Twin Shanks, another one is a female character who cannot be identified at all. This is because her face is covered with bandages, and the One Piece narrative doesn’t give much detail about her character.

While fans await the upcoming chapters to disclose her identity, some of them have decided to take matters into their own hands...

In the second season of Squid Game, Gi-hun warns a fellow contestant about the game’s deceptive promises. “Last time I was here,” he says, “someone said the exact same thing.” Watching Squid Game 2, now on Netflix, one might think the same. Alice In Borderland Season 3 Must Give Us The Chishiya Moment We’ve All Been Waiting For Since Season 1
Image
Alice in Borderland season 3 has the chance to give us the Chishiya and Arisu moment that the show has been teasing since the first season. While Alice in Borderland is about Arisu – he is the “Alice” trapped in a different reality after all – Chishiya stole the show and became one of the Netflix live-action series' most popular characters. Netflix’s version of Chishiya was slightly different from the one in Haro Aso’s manga, but all the changes worked and made for a very interesting character that ranged from a potential villain to a beloved antihero.

Apart from Kuina, there was no one in Alice in Borderland Chishiya would trust. The other characters soon learned now to trust Chishiya either, including Arisu. That said, toward the end of season 2, Chishiya went through a life-changing experience during the King of Diamonds game. After beating the “Beauty Contest,” Chishiya reevaluated how he...

In the long run of Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece, the series has filled itself with countless iconic moments, strong characters, mysteries, and fan theories. Luffy’s Lack of Attraction to Any Female Makes Boa Hancock’s Goal to Marry Luffy Even Difficult Than Zoro Beating Mihawk in a Rematch

One thing that sets One Piece apart from every other anime and manga series is the fact that almost every character in the series has a secret goal or desire that motivates them. One Piece: 5 Wasted Devil Fruit Users and One of Them Even Nearly Killed Zoro

Devil Fruits are rare in One Piece, or that’s what Eiichiro Oda wants you to believe. Every other character in the series possesses a Devil Fruit, and with that many users, there are bound to be some who are horrible at its usage. And One Piece has plenty of these useless characters.

The powers provided by Devil Fruits are unique and can be used to achieve great things if only the user has large potential. Luffy initially could only stretch his body parts but later developed the Fifth Gear, proving his fruit’s actual power. But there are several characters who never bothered to explore the strengths of their Devil Fruits, and here are five such examples.

As with any story, One Piece has its fair share of highs and lows. We Will Never Forgive Eiichiro Oda if The Most Diabolical Zoro Theory Comes True That’s Worse Than Betraying Luffy
Image
The swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates, Roronoa Zoro, has been on his journey to become the Strongest Swordsman in the One Piece world. Ever since he was a child, he has dreamed of earning the title, and while he has changed his focus on the goals of his captain, Monkey D. Luffy, he has also been working on his personal aim in the background.

For Zoro to achieve his goal, he will have to defeat Dracule Mihawk, who is the current strongest swordsman in the One Piece world. Considering Mihawk’s strength and swordsman skills, Zoro’s journey is still quite long, and while he works towards his goal, fans have been wondering what will happen when he becomes the strongest swordsman in One Piece.

These questions have led to the development of multiple theories about how Zoro’s goal would...

Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece tells the hearty journey of Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat crewmates, who have been looking for the most alluring treasure of the same name as the show’s title to become the King of the Pirates.

With the series narrating the journey of the beloved pirates for 25 years, it has featured many arcs with an immersive world that has flaunted some of the best villains in the Shonen genre. From Arlong to Kaido, all have left a lasting impression on viewers.

One name tops the list, Donquixote Doflamingo. Unlike the other villains showcased in the series, he was quite different because Oda-Sensei decided to make him pure evil, who enjoyed tormenting his foes. While he was not afraid of the Hero of the Marines, he was scared of his female version, who went out of her way to arrest him.

One Piece: Kuina’s Death Doesn’t Seem That Random After Oda Dropped a Massive Hint in Wano Arc
Image
One Piece is filled with tragic deaths, and some of them are used to fuel the development of central characters like how Ace’s death pushed Luffy to his brink. Similarly, Kuina’s untimely demise led Zoro to swear that he would become a master swordsman.

However, Kuina’s death has raised several questions over the years. She was destined to be the greatest swordsman and had greater talent than Zoro. So, how could she die in such a trivial manner?

One Piece's author Eiichiro Oda finally answered one of the biggest questions that fans had about his record-breaking manga, concerning Zoro and his family that spawned countless theories. Through the Sbs (Q&a section) of volume #105 of One Piece, Oda confirmed that Zoro is indeed a descendant of the Samurai of Wano.

In the Sbs of volume #105 of One Piece, shared and translated by many online sources, including Artur - Library of Ohara, Eiichiro Oda takes the chance to clarify once and for all Zoro's ancestry, revealing that he is, indeed, a descendant of the Shimotsuki clan from Wano. “A comic isn’t just a bunch of pictures”: Eiichiro Oda Faced His Fair Share of Troubles Before Erecting a $21 Billion One Piece Empire

At the very beginning of this journey, it was near impossible for anyone to foresee that One Piece would actually end up being a world-class phenomenon. When Eiichiro Oda first came up with his concept of the heroic adventures of a silly rubber boy and his crew, this seemed a rather simple story plot.

But the success of this franchise continued to grow later on, and it seemed there was no limit to the extent of its popularity.

“He didn’t even have a shred of that with Vegapunk”: One Piece Fans Hating Zoro for His ‘Harsh Truth’ to Luffy are Forgetting How Oda Has Written Him Right from the Start

One Piece’s main character is an enigmatic ball of sunshine. What makes him so unique is the fact that he always has a charming smile on his face no matter how many times he gets pushed down. Contrasting to him, exists Zoro. They both complement each other perfectly and the swordsman is the perfect second in command of the Thousand Sunny.

Luffy’s jolly attitude may form a prejudice for all the menacing villains because of how childlike he appears to be. This makes them underestimate their opponent. One Piece Already Has Lightsabers: Eiichiro Oda Needs to Make Zoro Wield One to Beat Mihawk

Eiichiro Oda is the best at creating surprise elements in One Piece that become crucial later in the plot. So far, the series has received bloodthirsty katanas, weapons of mass destruction, climate-manipulating sticks, and more. But in an unsuspecting chapter, Oda introduced an intriguing lightsaber.

The presence of a lightsaber in One Piece is a complete game-changer due to its capabilities. It was invented by none other than Dr. Vegapunk, the greatest inventor himself, so fans suspect that this lightsaber might be reintroduced later in the story.

“It’s dark, it’s brutal”: Zoro’s Past Becomes Very Disturbing if This One Piece Theory About Kuina’s Death After Their Duel Comes True
Image
Fans of Roronoa Zoro have known that he has been dreaming of becoming the strongest swordsman in the One Piece world since his childhood. Even though his past has not been explicitly shown in the series, fans have quite decent knowledge about his lineage and how being a swordsman fits with his personality.

Roronoa Zoro – One Piece | Toei Animation

While Zoro’s dream has been a part of his ambition since childhood, he only became extremely serious about it after the death of his rival and friend Shimotsuki Kuina, the daughter of the dojo’s master, Koushirou. Kuina and Zoro trained together in the dojo, and she was one of the few characters who could beat Zoro easily.

Although in the One Piece story, Kuina’s death comes from her falling down the stairs, fans have never believed in this narrative. Thus, there have been many theories about her demise,...

One Piece: Netflix’s Season 2 Casting Supports a Major Theory About Zoro’s Past That Eiichiro Oda Just Might Incorporate Into the Manga
Image
One Piece has often treated the fans with some Earth-shattering mysteries. Eiichiro Oda keeps the answers in plain sight, but the fans often complicate things with their theories. There is no doubt that Oda sensei is a genius and a master at foreshadowing. But several mysteries are more than just theories. One such theory in One Piece is between Zoro’s childhood friend, Kuina, and Captain Smoker’s left hand, Tashigi.

Roronoa Zoro often speaks about their resemblance, which often confuses the fans. It has been an ongoing debate for the last two decades. After Captain Smoker’s confirmation, Tashigi will also make his debut in season 2. It might once again ignite the Kuina-Tashigi controversy. Julia Rehwald has been confirmed to play the role of Tashigi in the upcoming season.

One Piece Season 2 Casting Supports A Long-Running Anime Theory About Zoro's Past
Image
Julia Rehwald's casting as Tashigi in One Piece season 2 ties back to Zoro's fascination with her resemblance to Kuina. Netflix's Tashigi casting doubles down on the importance of Tashigi and Kuina's connection. The ongoing debate about Tashigi and Kuina's similarity in One Piece hints at potential plot twists in future seasons.

There is more to Julia Rehwald's casting in One Piece season 2 than meets the eye. One Piece season 1's ending teased the arrival of the marines' Captain Smoker, and Callum Kerr has been cast in that iconic semi-villain role. Just as important as Smoker is his master chief petty officer, the sword-swinging Tashigi, and it's she that Rehwald will be playing when Netflix's live-action One Piece returns.

When the Straw Hats encounter Smoker in the One Piece anime and manga, Zoro is amazed by Tashigi's uncanny resemblance to Kuina, and this becomes a recurring theme whenever...

“Zoro is playing a Pirate and will betray Luffy”: Silliest Fan Theory About Zoro Makes Every One Piece Fans’ Nightmare Come True
Image
While some fan theories are too good to be true, others are just too ridiculous to even consider. One Piece is a hotspot for all kinds of theorists, but not all of them are reliable. In fact, one theory about Zoro’s loyalty could even make Eiichiro Oda roll over while laughing.

As you all know, Zoro is the dangerous yet dumb swordsman of the Straw Hat crew. He has one of the biggest fanbases among all characters due to his undying loyalty to the crew, and overall strength and charisma (also add his killer looks to the list). Yet, a fan theory questions everything about Zoro and his existence in the crew.

I Really Hope Alice In Borderland Season 3 Doesnt Adapt This Arisu Story From The Manga
Image
Alice In Borderland Season 3 should not cover Alice In Borderland: Retry due to missing characters. An original story is the best option for a new season, as Retry is too short to stand on its own. Despite Retry's limitations, some elements could inspire Netflix show's new season.

Alice in Borderland season 3 is happening, but I hope the Netflix series does not adapt a certain Arisu story from the manga. Even though Alice in Borderland season 2s ending was virtually the same as the manga, the Netflix live-action show will return for another season. Arisu and the others are back in the real but do not remember what happened in the 60 seconds that they were clinically dead, so Im interested to see where the story goes next.

While Im excited for Alice in Borderland season 3, I thought the end of season 2 would have been the perfect way to conclude the show.

“The curse of drinking with Shanks”: One Piece Theory is Eiichiro Oda’s Way of Foreshadowing the Next Major Death of a Former Warlord after Ace, Whitebeard
Image
The deaths in One Piece are one of the most despised aspects of the story, both by the fans and even by the creator, Eiichiro Oda. Oda has been quite vocal about not wanting to include character deaths in his magnum opus, but sometimes the story demands it, and because of this, the narrative has lost some major characters.

One Piece | Toei Animation

The most known deaths in the entire series are those of Luffy’s brother and Gol D. Roger’s son, Portgas D. Ace, and his captain, Edward Newgate, also known as Whitebeard. Both of these deaths took place during the Marineford arc, and it was heartbreaking for One Piece fans, but now fans sadly await the next major death in the series.

While the fans wait for the next death, a recent One Piece theory points out that Oda might have already foreshadowed the next major death...

Alice In Borderland Season 3 Wishlist: 8 Things I Wanna See The Most
Image
Season 3 must include a time skip after season 2's finale. Arisu & Usagi's relationship without the Borderland memories should be explored. Characters like Chishiya and Kuina should have their lives explored in season 3.

Alice in Borderland will return for season 3, and there are a few things I wish would happen in the next chapter of Arisus adventure. Shortly after the release of season 2, Netflix confirmed that Alice in Borderland had been renewed for season 3. On the one hand, the renewal of a successful show is hardly a surprise. On the other hand, it seemed like season 2s finale had already been the perfect conclusion for the show.

Alice in Borderland is one of many Netflix live-action adaptations, yet season 3 will not have the manga to be based on. The show is now set to be an original story going beyond the source material, which was written and illustrated by Haro Aso.

Zoro’s Strongest Weapon Took Away His 1 Ability in Return for More Power: One Piece Theory Reveals Reason Behind His Internet Meme Status

Zoro has always been an adorable oaf in One Piece. You can ask Sanji, and he can tell you all about the simple idiot that Zoro is. While he can cut down buildings with a single strike of his sword, his fatal weakness is elsewhere.

As you all know, Zoro can defeat fleets of pirates alone but would wander off into the wilderness as soon as he is instructed to go somewhere. The four directions never mattered to him, and they probably never will anyway.

A recent theory, however, tries to explain why Zoro can’t navigate for the life of him.
