After 12 seasons, Curb Your Enthusiasm has come to a close. Seinfeld co-creator Larry David played a curmudgeonly version of himself for 120 episodes of the semi-improvised cringe comedy, which was nominated for 47 Emmy Awards over the course of its run.
But all good things must come to an end, which Curb Your Enthusiasm did in April of 2024. Luckily, one of Cye’s stars has a perfect replacement series on Netflix.
Smoove Move
Jb Smoove played Leon Black in Cye for the last half of the series. He was introduced in season 6 as the brother of Larry’s love interest Loretta Black.
After Hurricane Katrina destroys her home, single mom Loretta moves her family in with Larry. Leon ends up tagging along with his sister (even though he already lived in LA and was unaffected by the hurricane), and sticks around to be Larry’s roommate even after Loretta leaves.

The three-on-three hoops action of Big3 — the basketball league co-founded by Ice Cube that features former NBA stars in fast-paced, half-court games — will be coming to Facebook later this month.
Fox Sports signed a deal with the social-media platform to stream one Big3 game per week live during the 2018 season exclusively on Facebook, free to anyone in the world to watch. The games on Facebook will lead in to three additional games, which will air exclusively on Fox or FS1 (and simulcast live in the Fox Sports app) during the regular season and playoffs.
The pact tips off with the Big3 season opener in Houston on June 22, available on the Big3 on Fox page (facebook.com/big3onfox) for the first nine weeks of the season. In addition to getting exclusive live access to nine games this summer, Facebook will host highlight packages and game recaps for all 37 games, including...

He might be one of the toughest guys in the NBA, but Sacramento Kings player Reggie Evans has a soft spot for his kids ... as evidenced by the adorable chain he rocked around NYC yesterday. Evans -- who was in town to play the Brooklyn Nets -- headed over to the Barclays Center with several diamond-encrusted pictures of his 4 kids. C'mon ... that's cute and you know it. Evans was also rocking out a pair of...

Jason Collins became the NBA's first active openly gay player Sunday, signing a 10-day contract with the Brooklyn Nets. Collins will join the Nets for their game Sunday night in Los Angeles against the Lakers. The 35-year-old center revealed at the end of last season he is gay, but he was a free agent and had remained unsigned. With a need for another big man, the Nets turned to the 7-foot Collins, who helped them reach two NBA Finals in the early 2000s. "The decision to sign Jason was a basketball decision," general manager Billy King said in a statement.

The Philharmonic’s production of Company, with Neil Patrick Harris, Jon Cryer, and Patti LuPone is going to be filmed and released in select movie theaters in June. Sadly, my local theaters are never “select.”
So Warner, at the MPAA’s request, is pulling the trailer for The Hangover II from theaters, where it aired in front of the PG-13 Source Code. So the monkey diving for the old man’s crotch is taboo for a green band trailer, but the gay joke in The Dilemma trailer is just fine? Thanks for defining the rules, MPAA.
A woman foraging for copper in Georgia (people still forage?) picked up a fiber line by mistake and cut off Internet access for Armenia and half of Georgia. It was an innocent mistake that’s likely to land her in jail for at least three years.
