When I first saw the title Viking Wolf, Vikingulven in its native Norwegian, I had visions of Norse lycanthropes raiding and pillaging their way up and down the coast. Sadly that isn’t what it’s about although it does begin with a prologue, shot like a silent film for some reason, showing a raiding party under the command of Grim Gudbrand storming an abbey.
The monks warn them against going into a locked room and assuming it to be filled with treasure, smash down the door and find a snarling red-eyed wolf cub. Of course, they take it with them, and by the time their longship returns home, it’s the only thing left alive on it.

"Believe me... you're dealing with a bloodthirsty beas, which must be stopped before the infection spreads." After a student is brutally murdered at a party Thale attends, she suddenly becomes a key witness. Who, or rather what exactly, was the killer? The town must stop the bloodthirsty beast before it kills everyone in its path. She also starts to have strange visions and bizarre desires... Wiking Wolf (Vikingulven) is a horror movie directed by Stig Svendsen starring Liv Mjönes, Marius Lien and Arthur Hakalahti. The script is written by Stig Svendsen, Espen Aukan and Jannicke Systad Jacobsen.
As is the case with Trol, this movie is another take on the werewolf theme returning it to its Viking origins and, as in Godzilla we go back to the source of the myth to return to the origins.
It is impossible to not be reminded of American Werewolf, in London or Paris… but this time in a small Norwegian village.
And, sure, miss those other movies a little.
Storyline
A girl in a party with her friends witnesses a cruel murder by an unidentified creature. Nobody can imagine what it was.
About the Movie Viking Wolf (2023)
Well made within its possibilities. It takes us a little longer to discover the intrigue although, by now, nobody will be...

Hat Trick International has picked up worldwide rights to off-beat Norwegian comedy drama Magnus, the UK indie’s first foreign language series, in another sign of the growing global appeal of foreign-language shows.
Made by Viafilm, producers of international dramas Norsemen and Lilyhammer, the title is currently playing in competition at Canneseries. Creator is Vidar Magnussen (Side by Side) and it was commissioned by Christina Rezk-Resar, Head of Comedy for Nrk. Two versions of the 6 x 30’ series were shot both in Norwegian and English.
The Norway-set sci-fi crime and comedy thriller follows Magnus (played by Magnussen), an idiotic genius former detective who tries to solve a murder rooted in Norse mythology. He teams up with a suicidal police partner (Pål Rønning) and a scrawny young neighbour and the three outcasts embark on an adventure that gets increasingly strange as the story unfolds. Director is Lilyhammer’s Geir Henning Hopland.

Cannes — Norwegian police officer and inventor Magnus Undredal is a doofus. The only question is if he’s a total dipstick.
Stationed in the wilds of Norway, where he’s been demoted to the rank of station janitor, he’s drafted in by the shady Geir Drageset, a Central Unit special investigator in league with U.S. military intelligence in the area, to not solve the murder of a girl and disappearance of Norway’s most famous actor. Magnus’ explanation is that he’s been abducted by a troll, which causes him to be sacked for the second time in a few days.
But Magnus’ inventions, such as a chest of drawers which allows him to stake out crime scenes, well, they nearly work. And maybe’s he’s right.
A crazed fantasy-laced cop show, “Magnus” is produced by Norway’s Nrk, whose credits include “Occupied” and “State of Happiness,” and...

Netflix movies may still be question mark in terms of being allowed in competition at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival in May, but the streaming giant will be present at Cannes Series. The Cannes television festival will mark its second year next month with Netflix going up against rival Amazon in the competition section. The full lineup includes series from Israel, Norway, Spain, and Belgium.
Netflix’s competition entry is the German series “How to Sell Drugs Online Fast,” from writers Philipp Käßbohrer and Matthias Murmann. Amazon is heading to Cannes Series with “The Feed,” a London-set drama created by Channing Powell and based on the novel Nick Clark Windo. “The Feed” stars “Game of Thrones” favorite Michelle Fairley opposite David Thewlis in a story about a piece of technology that allows people to instantly share thoughts and emotions. The tech falls into the wrong hands and becomes a murderous weapon.

"Sherlock" is a great TV show. But, like all great things, parodies make "Sherlock" even better. A pair of Norwegian actors have done just that with their "Oklahomo" parody of the BBC mega-hit.
According to the video's YouTube page, the idea came when Vidar Magnussen and Bjarte Tjostheim of the TV show, "Underholdningsavdelingen," realized they looked like Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, respectively.
So they decided to make their own version of "Sherlock."
The short "Oklahomo" video (the title gets an explanation at the very end) gets the look and aesthetics of "Sherlock" absolutely right, while the dialogue and action quite literally make no sense. Also, this Sherlock and Watson kiss. And jump and kiss.
While the whole thing is amusing, here are some of the best (and strangest) lines:
"Watson, do you believe in curtains?""If I was to dance like a miniature cat, would you kill me or...
