Legion alum Aubrey Plaza has two very different projects on the horizon - Marvel Studios' WandaVision spin-off Agatha All Along and Francis Ford Coppola's sci-fi epic Megalopolis - and both were filmed on the same lot in Atlanta, which Plaza took full advantage of!
With the respective productions overlapping for two weeks, Plaza decided to have some fun by "harassing" Adam Driver, Giancarlo Esposito and the rest of her Megalopolis cast-mates while in full costume as her MCU character.
“I would literally go from one to the other and would put my Wow wig on and my Wow costume on," Plaza tells Deadline. "And then the next day, I would go to the Agatha set and I’d be dressed as a warrior witch with a dagger and stuff. At one point, when I was dressed in the Marvel character, I sneaked onto the Megalopolis set and I started...

It's been Agatha All Along... all along!
Tonight during Disney's 2024 Upfront presentation, Marvel Studios finally unveiled the premiere date and official title for its upcoming WandaVision spin-off, which is set to hit Disney+ on September 18 with a 2-episode debut.
As speculated, the various different title reveals were just to throw people off (we still don't know for sure if they're the episode names), as the show will indeed be called Agatha All Along.
No trailer, unfortunately, but Marvel did release a teaser promo featuring the earlier titles and a very familiar song.

Marvel did recently share the first footage from the show via a behind-the-scenes featurette, but it didn't reveal very much.
The video spotlighted Kathryn Hahn as the returning sorceress, who was sporting some new duds which look like they might be inspired by her later comic book appearances.

This The Walking Dead: Dead City review contains spoilers.
The Walking Dead: Dead City Episode 6
The first season of The Walking Dead: Dead City has spent a great deal of time developing some kind of bond between Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan). It’s entirely one-sided, as this episode shows, with Negan doing everything he can to try and help Maggie get past the lingering trauma of Glenn’s death at his hand. Maggie couldn’t let it go in season 11 of The Walking Dead, and she cannot let it go now, even though Hershel (Logan Kim) is a teenager and she’s moved on from Hilltop and Alexandria. Hershel long ago let the urge to kill Negan go. Negan long ago atoned for the sins of his past (to most people he’s offended). However, Maggie can’t let it go.
Maggie isn’t Maggie Greene anymore.

The Walking Dead: Dead City Episode 5
Negan is a swaggering, leather-clad bad-ass who smashes zombies and people with equal ease, if his introduction was to believe. The Negan who was introduced in the season 6 episode of The Walking Dead, “The Last Day on Earth,” has slowly changed into something different. Not changed, as much as revealed; we’ve been allowed to see behind the mask that turned a humble gym teacher and devoted wife guy named Negan Smith into the character of Negan. Behind the leaning-at-angles shtick and the constant stream of quips, there’s a real man masking real emotions and insecurities. The Walking Dead: Dead City has provided more of a peek behind that curtain and given Jeffrey Dean Morgan more to play with that isn’t just surface-level cool.
Maggie is going through that journey in the opposite direction.

Jenna Ortega, star of Netflix’s hit Addams Family series Wednesday, has previously said she had to struggle with directors on the show who didn’t always trust the approach she was taking to the character. Starting with Tim Burton, who directed half of the show’s first season and didn’t want Ortega to show any expression or emotion at all. Something she didn’t feel would work for a lead character who had to push the plot forward. Now in an interview with Variety, Ortega revealed that she also had to change lines from the scripts because they weren’t true to her character.
Ortega said, “I don’t think I’ve ever had to put my foot down more on a set in a way that I had to on Wednesday. Everyhing that Wednesday does, everything I had to play, did not make sense for her character at all.

Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is about to get underway this year with the release of three new tentpole films and twice as many Disney+ shows. Bringing up the rear on the TV side of things is "Agatha: Coven of Chaos," which rolls cameras in Atlanta next week and is due for a late 2023 release
Ahead of its production start, "Agatha: Coven of Chaos" (formerly titled "Agatha: House of Harkness") has now locked in its directors, according The Hollywood Reporter.
A spin-off of Marvel's very first Disney+ series, "WandaVision," "Agatha: Coven of Chaos" centers on Kathryn Hahn's character, Agatha Harkness, who spent much of her previous screen time disguising herself as Wanda's nosy neighbor, Agnes. It was only toward the end of the seventh episode of "WandaVision" that viewers learned Agnes/Agatha's true witchy nature, to the tune of the Emmy-winning, retro-sitcom jingle "Agatha All Along.

Warning: If you haven’t watched the entirety of Wednesday season 1 yet, there are some Spoilers below.
Netflix still hasn’t officially ordered another season of the Addams Family series Wednesday (read our review Here), but given how popular the show has proven to be (it’s Netflix’s second-most popular English-language series of all time), it’s only a matter of time before the announcement is made. Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, the show’s creators and showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar gave some hints as to what they have in mind if / when Wednesday season 2 starts moving forward.
First, they addressed the fact that the mystery that drove the plot forward in the first season was solved by the last episode. Millar said, “I think for us, it’s always about feeling that the season, because there’s only eight episodes, it feels like a book, so...

Director Tim Burton made his television directing debut by taking the helm of the first four episodes of the Netflix series Wednesday‘s eight episode first season. And when the time came to choose who would provide the music for the show, Burton went with his frequent collaborator Danny Elfman, who had also never worked in episodic TV before (aside from composing themes). Speaking with IndieWire, Elfman discussed the fact that he brought in a partner to help him face the challenge of composing the score for a TV series.
Elfman said, “I brought on a partner, Chris Bacon, to work with me because I’d never done episodic television. I was afraid that there was going to be a learning curve that was going to be kind of crushing. And it was. It’s like nothing I’ve ever experienced before, you’re dealing with delivering full scores, almost...

While attending Nevermore Academy, Wednesday Addams attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a killing spree and solve the mystery that embroiled her parents twenty-five years ago.
The brand new Addams Family spinoff show Wednesday was on my radar for a while ever since that first teaser that revealed star Jenna Ortega in gothic makeup and completely selling the role right then and there. Plus the fact that Tim Burton would be involved as well as the fact that it would star Christina Ricci – who previously portrayed Wednesday – was incredibly enticing.
A lot of people, however, told me that the show reminded them of an extremely cheesy and cheap CW superhero show. Some even compared it to the abysmally awful Riverdale.

The Addams Family series Wednesday has turned out to be a massive hit for the Netflix streaming service – in fact, in less than a month of release, it has already become Netflix’s second-most popular English-language series of all time. So there seems to be almost no question that we’re going to be getting Wednesday season 2… Netflix just hasn’t officially ordered it yet. And while speaking to Variety about the show’s success, Netflix executive Peter Friedlander (the service’s head of U.S. and Canada scripted series) still couldn’t confirm if or when that new season order is going to be made.
Friedlander told Variety, “I have nothing to confirm at this time. I am optimistic about Wednesday. We’ll leave it at that. Weirdly, because it feels different, but we’re just two weeks into the launch of Wednesday. So we’re still really at...

The Addams Family series Wednesday (read our review Here) is massive, record-breaking hit for the Netflix streaming service that has had people talking about it ever since it premiered almost four weeks ago. For me, the sounds of The Cramps song “Goo Goo Muck” will always be indelibly linked to imagery from director Tobe Hooper’s 1986 classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 – but I still think it’s pretty cool that the song happened to be featured in the Addams Family series Wednesday, which just made its debut on the Netflix streaming service last week. “Goo Goo Muck” is the soundtrack to a very popular moment from the show, where title character Wednesday Addams, played by Jenna Ortega, dances to the song. A dance that Ortega choreographed herself. You can watch this dance scene in the embed above.
At the bottom of this article, you can also see a video of the Wednesday cast reacting to the dance scene clip. Ortega said the dance makes it clear that she’s neither a dancer or a choreographer, but according to Yahoo she has also...

Plot: The series is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy, where she attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the murder mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.
Review: Back in 1991, Tim Burton reluctantly passed on directing The Addams Family due to production on Batman Returns. Barry Sonnenfeld took the reins which led to the film becoming a financial success for Orion Pictures. Despite multiple lackluster live-action sequels, Burton was once again linked to a 2010 stop-motion animated reboot for Universal and Illumination Entertainment. MGM eventually delivered two CGI features which garnered mixed to negative reviews. Now, Tim Burton finally gets to lend his signature style to The Addams Family with Wednesday, a dark series centered on the eldest Addams daughter.

Snap, snap. Jenna Ortega recently sat down with Christina Ricci for some Wednesday-on-Wednesday chatter to discuss the upcoming Wednesday, exploring the character and the difficulties of playing her under multiple directors.
On the topic of working with different directors on Wednesday, Jenna Ortega said, “I felt like everybody wanted different things from her. I remember Tim did not want me to have any expression or emotion at all. He wanted a flat surface…There were a lot of battles like that [with other directors] because I felt like people didn’t always trust me when I was creating my path in terms of, “Okay, this is her arc. This is where she gets emotional.’”
Jenna Ortega elaborated further on the often hectic atmosphere on Wednesday. “There have never been so many cooks in the kitchen. I was completely lost and confused. Typically I have no problem using my voice, but when you’re...

The team behind Netflix’s upcoming Addams Family spinoff series “Wednesday” has touted it as “not a TV series” but “an extended Tim Burton movie,” however Burton only directed four of the eight episodes. Other episodes were directed by the likes of Gandja Monteiro and James Marshall. It turns out having multiple directors made things somewhat tough for Jenna Ortega, who is starring in the lead role of Wednesday Addams. The actor told former Wednesday actor Christina Ricci during a discussion for Interview Magazine that she had to fight battles on set to protect her character arc from the various directors wanting different things out of her.
“I’m so glad you mentioned the multiple directors thing because Tim didn’t shoot all of the episodes,” Ortega said. “We were going from Tim to another director, back to Tim, to another director. I felt like everybody wanted different things from her.

Ah, mothers and daughters. Add in a little creepy aesthetic, a few kooky sensibilities, and the mother-daughter relationship at the core of the Addams Family gets a little…weirder.
The highly anticipated trailer for “Wednesday,” Alfred Gough and Miles Millar’s reimagining of the iconic Addams Family for Netflix, centers on a teenage Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) trying to solve many mysteries, one being how to cement her own identity outside of the shadow of her ever-glamorous mother, Morticia Addams (Catherine Zeta-Jones).
“The relationship that kind of hangs over the season is really Wednesday’s relationship with Morticia,” Gough explained to Vanity Fair. “How do you step out of the shadow of a mother as glamorous as Morticia?”
And as Morticia and husband Gomez (Luis Guzmán) continue their sensual public displays of affection, Wednesday can only roll her eyes and find new ways to playfully torture her younger brother Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez...

They’re creepy and they’re kooky — and they’re landing a teen Netflix series!
The latest installment of “The Addams Family” franchise stars Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, a 16-year-old student at Nevermore Academy who harnesses her budding psychic ability to solve a serial killer case and unlock the murder mystery that involved her parents 25 years ago. Tim Burton directs and executive produces the Netflix series, aptly titled “Wednesday,” premiering on the streaming platform sometime in 2022.
Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán play Morticia and Gomez Addams, with Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, Victor Dorobantu as Thing, and George Burcea as Lurch. Jenna Ortega is getting all together ooky. The first look at “Wednesday,” the upcoming Addams Family television series starring the famous clan’s daughter, has been released by Netflix, revealing the “Scream 5” and “You” actor in the title role.
First created by Charles Addams for a series of New Yorker cartoons, the Addams Family is a bizarre aristocratic clan with an obsession of the macabre and a complete lack of concern regarding how others perceive them. Following their creation, the characters grew in popularity after a 1964 sitcom fleshed out their personalities, and have since starred in two live-action theatrical films, two animated series, a Broadway musical and two animated films.
The only daughter of parents Gomez and Morticia, Wednesday was depicted in the original sitcom as the most sweet-natured of the family. However, the 1991 Barry Sonnenfeld-directed film adaptation changed her personality to be much more deadpan and sadistic,...

“Brand New Cherry Flavor” takes place roughly 30 years ago. If the murderer’s row of college radio deep cuts didn’t eventually tip you off, the on-screen setup puts the new Netflix show somewhere in the “early ’90s.” What transpires after that simple introduction is a meticulous, slow-motion fever dream, one that transpires with the occasional help of pay phones, VHS tapes, and print headlines.
The new limited series has plenty more on its mind than aping a particular time and place. “Brand New Cherry Flavor” carries all the psychological trappings that come with the curdled glamor of Los Angeles, but this is a specific kind of Hollywood story; one that exists in its own self-contained universe, detached from a conventional decade-signaling aesthetic. Very quickly, the show establishes its primary concern isn’t enduring stardom or lavish luxury. It’s a supernatural revenge tale brought on by what’s ostensibly a simple legal dispute.
