In the clip featuring the TV anime's opening theme song "Chikichiki Banban" by Queendom in the background, the cast members' comments are introduced along with scenes of them shooting their official character visuals. Rei Fujita, who is cast as Zhuge Kongming, said, "After respecting the original, and I want to work hard to create my role that will make the audience think that this Kongming is also acceptable." The official website for the upcoming stage play adaptation of Yuto Yotsuba (story) and Ryo Ogawa's (art) comedy manga Ya Boy Kongming! has unveiled its main cast members' visuals in their character costume. The stage play, written.directed by Japanese comedian Akira Ishida (Non Style), is et to perform at The Galaxy Theater in Tokyo from May 3 to 6, 2024, then at the Osaka Sankei Hall Breeze in Osaka on May 10 and 11. After the advance sales from January 17 to February 4, general sales of the ticket will begin on March 30. The manga is now running in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine, so far 15 tankobon volumes have been available in Japan. The story centers on Zhuge Kongming, the legendary Chinese strategist who is reincarnated in Shibuya of the modern Japan in a young body. He brings ingenious innovation to the Japanese music scene in order to fulfill the dream of Eiko Tsukimi, a fledgling singer he met there.
