A look inside the mind of Louis Ck via Vanity Fair's Proust Questionnaire. Check out the comedian's complete answers to the famous questionnaire here, and our favorite responses below. Louis Ck's FX show "Louie" was just named one of AFI's top TV shows of 2012. Which living person do you most admire? The guy I saw yesterday. He was crossing Eighth Avenue against the light. He just sauntered out into the middle of the street with cars and cabs speeding toward him and it meant nothing to him. Like he’s the only living soul and the rest of us were ghosts. I love that man, whoever he is. What or who is the greatest love of your life? My God. What a personal question. Who is this? When and where were you happiest? I got Luis Tiant’s autograph at a paint store when I was nine years old.

Louis C.K. doesn't want to talk about his biggest fears, reveal the greatest love of his life or discuss what he'd come back as if reincarnation exists. That's why it's ultimately hilarious that he filled out Vanity Fair's Proust Questionnaire for the January 2013 comedy issue edited by Judd Apatow.
C.K.'s responses to the psyche-probing quiz are a mixed bag, ranging from blind refusals to answer to legitimate revelations and a sublimely sarcastic grey area in between. For example, he offered a straight response to the question, "Who are your favorite writers?" (that would be F. Scott Fitzgerald, Nicolai Gogol, Richard Wright and John Steinbeck) and reveals that President Obama is sincerely one of his real-life heroes. But he also gave up some absurd, albeit genuinely entertaining tidbits, like these three gems below:
What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
"I have an absolutely beautiful penis. It’s stunning in every way.

Jonathan Hock's documentary, The Lost Son of Havana, premiered to great acclaim at the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival. In honor of this year's Festival, and the new baseball season, the film has been made available exclusively on Amazon. Hock recounts one of the important lessons he learned while making his film about pitching legend Luis Tiant. I'm a nervous director. So being in Cuba, with only seven days to shoot a feature-length documentary, with the knowledge hanging over us that the Cuban authorities could shut us down at any moment (they know we're on the island but think we're there to play a baseball game, not to make a movie), I'm feeling particularly nervous. We don't have a moment to lose. On our first morning, we have a 9 am call time. At 9:15, Luis Tiant, the Boston Red Sox pitching legend whose return from exile to Cuba is the subject...

This Q and A report from Tff 2009 was first posted on April 24, 2009: 'When you go back,' he said, his voice trembling, his hand shaking just slightly, 'And see the way your family lives, it hurts, that it's been so bad. Yet they're so close.' He took a moment to compose himself. It was a powerful moment during the Q and A after last night's screening of The Lost Son of Havana, an equally powerful film about displacement, regret, and the connection between identity and homeland. The man speaking was Luis Tiant, the famous Mlb pitcher who was a star with the Cleveland Indians, New York Yankees, and Boston Red Sox. Following a screening of the film last night at the AMC Village 7, Tiant walked towards the front of the theater to take questions from the audience. As he made his way forward, he was greeted with a standing ovation,...

New York -- Espn Films continues to pile up the names for its "30 for 30" program.
The network on Thursday announced 10 new directors who will be making hourlong docs that will air on the net in the coming two years.
Among the more notable names, "The Kid Stays in the Picture" helmer Brett Morgen will direct "June 17, 1994," a film about the day just before the O.J. Simpson chase when the Rangers had won their first Stanley Cup in 54 years, the Knicks were on the brink of a title and other seminal sports events had collided.
"Hancock" and "The Kingdom" helmer Peter Berg, meanwhile, will direct "#99," the story of Wayne Gretzky's trade to the Los Angeles Kings at the peak of his career. "Hoop Dreams" director Steve James has also been added to the roster; he'll direct a pic about Allen Iverson's legal troubles as a high school star --...

One of the 86 features screening at this year's Tribeca Film Festival is "The Lost Son of Havana," a documentary about the poignant return to Havana after 46 years by native son Luis Tiant, "El Tiante," one of the most colorful players in baseball history. He came to America just before the Bay of Pigs disaster. He went on to make the major leagues with the Cleveland Indians, pitched for the Minnesota Twins, then, from 1971 to 1978, played for the Boston Red Sox, before winding up his career with stints with the Yankees, Pirates and Angels.

My, my, the Tribeca Film Festival (Tff) has certainly grown up. It seems like it was born only yesterday, and already it's celebrating its eighth edition. This year's festivities got started on Wednesday evening with a "by invitation only" screening of Woody Allen's Whatever Works, the director's first NYC-based film in five years. Only a few members of the press were allowed to attend: three of the four reviews linked at Rotten Tomatoes were negative. Coincidence?

So we're on the red carpet for the premiere of the Farrelly brothers' documentary about baseball pitcher Luis Tiant, Lost Son of Havana, and along comes Larry David. He's a friend of the Farrellys and a baseball fan, which makes him want to see the film, but doesn't necessarily make him want to do the press line. Dragged into a photo op with Bobby and Peter Farrelly and Tiant, he...
