Jerry Remy was born on November 8, 1952 in Fall River, Massachusetts, USA. He was an actor, known for Freedom Park (2004), 27 (2015) and Monday Night Baseball (1976). He was married to Phoebe. He died on October 30, 2021 in the USA.
Led American League in At Bats per Strikeout (16.9) in 1983.
Inducted into the Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame in 2006.
In 2007, he was elected the first President of Red Sox Nation. Remy had debated 6 of his challengers for that post in a debate which was held at Boston University and moderated by Meet the Press host, Tim Russert.
