Fernando Gayesky was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and moved to New York to study Film Production and Cinematography at the New School/Parsons School of Design. Soon after, he joined the International Cinematographers Guild, Local 600, and worked his way up the camera department with directors and DPs such as Michel Gondry, Ang Lee, John Cameron Mitchell, Eric Gautier, Ellen Kuras and others. He started his cinematographer days shooting short films and music videos mostly in Barcelona, and documentaries in Trinidad and Tobago, Malaysia, Panama, India and many more beautiful locations.
Nowadays Fernando is based between Barcelona and New York, with a US passport and European residence. He uses the unique sensibility gained in a life of working and traveling to shoot commercials, branded content, fashion films and music videos for brands like Nike, Dom Perignon, Lacoste, Vodafone, etc. with directors Matthew Frost, Andy Muschietti, Kinopravda, Christopher Anderson, Julio Del Alamo, Rick Guest and Billy Kidd, among others, but his real passion is for shooting fiction projects, where all of his talent and attention is focused to help the director tell the story visually in the best possible way.
