Jet frontman Nic Cester revealed in a recent interview that he auditioned to be the singer of AC/DC in 2016. The job eventually went to Axl Rose, but Cester has quite a story to tell his grandkids one day.
Twenty years ago, Jet were the hottest rock export out of Australia, with hits like “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” and “Cold Hard Bitch” featuring a sound that melded the power of fellow Aussies AC/DC with the garage-rock stylings of The White Stripes.

Any Andrew Garfield performance is to be cherished – the British actor never fails to deliver, bringing emotion and commitment every single time. Despite not bearing an iota of negativity in terms of English Grammar, the word “Paparazzi” always gets associated with something being irritating or obnoxious. And the reason for that is the usual Paparazzi culture, where a person would do literally anything to get their “money shot” of a celebrity. It is strange that it took this long for Charlie Brooker to make a Black Mirror episode out of it. Now that he has finally done it, I have got to say that he has mostly nailed it. Of course, Brooker has done it in his own style- by presenting us the movie equivalent of a peanut butter sandwich, but with a surprise addition of bacon in it. Mazey Day starts as a rather serious take on the Paparazzi culture, which soon turns into an investigative thriller, until it takes the full-blown monster horror route in the blood-soaked final act.

On a balmy autumn morning in September 1999, Kate Hudson felt different. She tried to put it into words in her diary. She’s always “journaled”, once telling an interviewer that it keeps her “centred”, which is a very Kate Hudson thing to say. She was in the middle of shooting Almost Famous – the shaggy coming-of-age story that ignited her career and earned her an Oscar nomination – and had woken up after a night of filming on a cramped tour bus. “I walked outside the hotel and said hello to the light coming up over the hill,” she wrote. “I feel extremely emotional today. My heart is constantly aching. I don’t know why. It’s not that I’m missing anything; it’s that I’m feeling everything, and my heart’s accepting it.”

Kate Hudson has one seriously adorable family. While the "Knives Out 2" star has shared a number of sweet moments with her mom, Goldie Hawn, and her "Pa," Kurt Russell, she also has three kids of her own.
Hudson welcomed her first child in January 2004, a son named Ryder Russell Robinson, with her then-husband Chris Robinson. After divorcing the Black Crowes singer in October 2007, the actor fell for another musician, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy. The two got engaged in April 2011 and eventually welcomed a son, Bingham Hawn Bellamy, that July. Although the couple ended their engagement in December 2014, Hudson found love again with her now-fiancé, Danny Fujikawa.
The pair first met when Hudson was pregnant with Ryder but didn't start dating until December 2016. The two remained friends for quite some time until a spark lit after a casual hike together turned into an "unexpected first date." After five years of...

Hedi Slimane presented his Celine FW23 collection titled Age of Indieness at the iconic Los Angeles art deco theatre, The Wiltern, Thursday, December 8.
The electric collection was attended by Priscilla Presley, Beck, Doja Cat, Matt Bellamy, Kim Gordan, Kid Cudi and the stars of the screen included Brie Larson, Austin Butler, Dustin Hoffman and Miles Teller.
King Princess, Shaun White, Courtney Cox, Cindy Crawford, Jeremy Scott, Sky Ferreira were also at the event that showcased the Fall/Winter 2023 87-look co-ed looks.
Slimane presented a homage to his style roots of indie rock-n-roll aesthetic supported by an original soundtrack titled ‘Hello Operator’, performed by the White Stripes and written and produced by Jack White. The styling was reminiscent of the late 2000s garments of tailored skinny jeans, leather jackets, military jackets, and fringed suede that could have walked right off the streets of Camden Town in what’s now defined as the indie sleaze era.

Kate Hudson turned her latest premiere into a family affair. The actor - who stars in "Glass Onion: A Knives Mystery" with Daniel Craig, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, and more - brought two dates to celebrate the film's release in Los Angeles on Nov. 14: her fiancé, musician Danny Fujikawa, and mom Goldie Hawn.
Hudson posed with both Fujikawa and Hawn in a shimmery nude sequin dress with dramatic sleeves, sparkling at every turn on the red carpet. Fujikawa chose a sleek black tuxedo for the occasion, while Hawn also went all black, in a long jacket with metallic details. In October, Hawn and Kurt Russell shared a sweet moment with their granddaughter Rani Rose, Hudson and Fujikawa's 4-year-old.

Last Thursday, a stone’s throw from the former headquarters of Larry Flynt’s Hustler empire, a trove of thirsty teenage influencers, A-listers such as Dustin Hoffman and rock stars including Muse’s Matt Bellamy were queueing up to walk the red carpet at a movie premiere.
This wasn’t, however, the latest Marvel launch or an Oscar-bait opening. It was the re-release of a 13-year-old music documentary about a previously relatively unknown heavy metal band from Canada.
Anvil!: The Story of Anvil, a tale of hope and heavy metal, has been having quite the encore.
The film, directed by Sacha Gervasi, has been re-released by Utopia for a new generation of kids that seem willing to get in the pit for its heartwarming message: never give up.

Music is a powerful force that can serve many purposes and its strongest trait is the ability to bring people together. While a favorite record or a poignant lyric is often times what ushers a newcomer into the fold of a fanbase, it’s the interpersonal connections and the shared experiences that make that person a lifelong member.
For passionate music fans, that community is most strongly felt when it comes time to descend on a live show. “I love the music, but actually it’s the friendships I’ve...

Muse, composed of vocalist and guitarist Matt Bellamy, bassist Chris Wolstenholme, and drummer Dominic Howard, will hit the road following the release of their latest album Will Of The People, which came out on 26 August 2022 – the same day the album’s supporting tour tickets were released.
The band are set to embark on a number of tour dates across Europe and the US at the end of 2022 and into 2023, and will visit the UK to perform four shows in May and August next year as part of their Will Of The People tour.
The Devon-grown rockers will kick off the UK leg by returning home to headline Home Park Stadium in Plymouth, before hitting stages in Huddersfield, Glasgow, and Milton Keynes.
The multi-platinum and Grammy award-winning rock band hasn’t toured since 2019, so for fans, these gigs will be must-see events.

Matt Bellamy is activating his Lady Gaga stan card. “I always have been a monster,” the Muse frontman told Zane Lowe in a new Apple Music 1 interview. He gushed about seeing the singer live in Washington D.C. back in 2007 when she was playing to rooms of 500 people — way before her tour slate featured packed out stadiums. “Always from day one, I thought she was just an absolute phenomenon,” Bellamy said.

It’s been a busy year for Muse. The legendary British rock trio is set to release their ninth studio effort this week, Will Of The People, which arrives as the band is two-thirds of the way through a 30-show tour that’s seen them play to as many as 90,000 fans in massive stadiums along the European summer festival circuit.
And yet, the tour began in front of just 220 ebullient die-hards at the Cavern Club in Exeter, England earlier this spring. The subterranean venue in the heart of this historic...

There’s something so communal about going to a Muse show. The experience has a way of inducing a unique catharsis. On the one hand, it’s hard to ignore the tremendous feeling of it all, from the hypnotizing laser light show to the rousing pyrotechnics and the otherworldly visuals.
But beneath the (literal) flash and frills lies something much more intimate. Fans are embracing, fists are pumping, and in spurts, the audience takes on the role of lead vocalist while they roar the lyrics of their favorite records. In these moments,...

The last time Muse set foot onstage together was two and a half years ago in Lima, Peru, the final date of their Simulation Theory world tour. The show was an explosive, sci-fi circus rife with majestic dystopian themes, and laser-tag neon lighting. These bandstand theatrics have been a trademark of the trio’s live shows for almost two decades, but for their first gig since 2019, they’re taking a different approach. Thanks to Jim Beam, the band is returning to their hometown, for an intimate performance in front of the community that raised them.

Muse frontman Matt Bellamy has released a rendition of Simon & Garfunkel’s classic “Bridge Over Troubled Water.”
Keeping primarily true to the original, Bellamy captures the reassuring sentiments and emotional weight of the song with uplifting falsettos in his abridged version. In lieu of the piano-led melodies found on the original recorded version, Bellamy’s take is led by acoustic guitar.
“One of my favorite songs of all time, and a timely song for a tough year,” Bellamy said in a statement. “We should all reach out and be there for our friends right now!

Muse frontman Matt Bellamy always intended for 2020 to be a quiet year away from the public eye. His band wrapped up their extensive Simulation Theory world tour in October 2019 ,and he needed time to decompress; spend time with his wife, model Elle Evans; and prepare for the birth of their first child. So the Covid-19 lockdown hasn’t been too big of an inconvenience, and it’s actually given him the time to focus on music, like his new solo song “Tomorrow’s World.”

Muse frontman Matt Bellamy has released a new solo song, “Tomorrow’s World,” inspired by the global Covid-19 lockdown.
“This song captures my mood and feelings whilst in lockdown,” he said in a statement. “I have been reminded of what really matters in life and have discovered growing optimism, appreciation and hope for the future.”
The sparse piano ballad offers an optimistic look at days ahead despite its melancholy tone. “Look to tomorrow,” Bellamy sings. “The end of our sorrows/Our world could be so full of joy.”

The Game of Thrones score, composed by musical genius Ramin Djawadi, has iconic songs like the show's pounding main theme and the haunting season six finale score, "Light of the Seven." Now the HBO series is getting a whole new set of songs to celebrate the imminent arrival of season eight from artists like Sza, Ellie Goulding, Maren Morris, The Weeknd, and more.
Columbia Records and HBO announced in early April that an album, For The Throne, is on the way. It will include a ton of brand new tracks inspired by the fantasy series, marking the first time HBO has partnered with a major label to curate a soundtrack. We can only pray that a sampling of Daenerys screaming "Dracarys" makes it on to at least one of the songs.

No one can ever say that Muse doesn’t know how to put on a phenomenal show! This time around it was quite apparent that the band spared no expense on the production that went into bringing the “Simulation Theory” tour to Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center. It was definitely out of this world, to say the least.

The pair dedicated the day to getting everything set up in the nursery including picking out wallpaper, unpacking the bassinet (Hudson went with the $1,160 Snoo Smart Sleeper) and trying on the baby carrier.
The actress and the musician are expecting their little one any day now. And while the baby will be Hudson’s third child, she still has some new mommy things to master.
