Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into it and see what went down in this episode…
Match #1: Ilja Dragunov def. Wes Lee The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Mad Dragon is one step closer to realizing his dream as Nxt Champion as he defeated Wes Lee to become the No. 1 Contender to face Carmelo Hayes at Nxt No Mercy. The two competitors left it all in the ring as they exchanged their signature offense like chops, splashes, and even a suplex from Ilja Dragunov to Lee on the announce table. In the end, Dragunov came away the victor after vicious shots from both Superstars, punching his ticket to Nxt No Mercy for a date with Nxt Champion Carmelo Hayes for the Nxt Title.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: Drew Gulak, Charlie Dempsey & Damon Kemp def. Josh Briggs,...

Match #1: Steel Cage Match – The Creed Brothers def. The Dyad The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Julius and Brutus Creed are officially reinstated in Nxt after the brother duo defeated Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid and seemingly destroyed the entirety of Schism in the process. Fowler and Reid jumped the Creeds to start the match and Brutus was carried off by masked members of Schism, leaving Julius all along to The Dyad who used their chaotic nature to make the cage their home. Julius managed to hold on long enough for Brutus to return, and the two showed why they belong in Nxt as they hit a dual Brutus Ball and secured their reinstatement to Nxt.

Match #1: Nxt Tag Team Championships – Tony D’Angelo & Stacks def. The Dyad The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Nxt Tag Team Titles remain with The Family as Tony D’Angelo and Stacks retained their titles against Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid of The Dyad. The leader of Schism, Joe Gacy, brought a host of followers to ringside, but their presence ended up becoming a hindrance as when Ivy Nile arrived, their attention from the match got diverted. As Nile stood at ringside yelling at Schism, two masked followers jumped the barricade and attacked The Dyad, allowing Tony D to hit a modified uranage to pick up the win.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Blair Davenport def. Dana Brooke The following is courtesy of wwe.

Match #1: Mustafa Ali def. Axiom The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Mustafa Ali sent a message to the Nxt locker room with a decisive victory over the high-flying Axiom to kick-off Nxt. Scrypts appeared at ringside during the match alongside Bronco Nima and Lucien Price, but swiftly left after attempting to intimidate Scrypts former partner. Both Superstars were perched on the top rope and seemingly instinctively, Ali grabbed Axiom’s mask and nearly ripped it off, allowing him time to shove Axiom off the top rope and hit the 450 Splash for the win

Match #1: Carmelo Hayes, Trick Williams & Ilja Dragunov def. Schism The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Trick Melo Gang and Ilja Dragunov proved they could work together by defeating Joe Gacy, Rip Fowler, and Jagger Reid, but there is still a level of animosity heading into their Nxt Championship Match at the Great American Bash. Fowler and Reid tried to use their signature underhanded tactics to gain an advantage, but Carmelo Hayes had Trick Williams’ back and saved him from their clutches. Once Dragunov tagged into the match, his tenacity got the better of him as he accidentally hit Williams with a flying corkscrew elbow, and while it frustrated Hayes’, it didn’t affect his game as two Schism followers interfered and allowed...

Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly, on a show that has gone viral from a Baron Corbin(!) promo this week! Let’s get straight into it and see what went down…
Match #1: Blair Davenport def. Roxanne Perez The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The reign of terror from Blair Davenport will continue as she defeated former Nxt Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez convincingly. The tenacity and ferociousness of Davenport were evident as the British Superstar tossed Perez around the ring, but Perez did manage to counter a superplex into a crossbody. Perez continued to fight back, but her attempt to take out Davenport on the outside backfired as she was sent face-first into the steel ring steps. That spelled the beginning of the end as moments later Davenport was able to hit Perez with a pair of crushing knee strikes that ended the match.

Match #1: Damian Priest def. Shinsuke Nakamura The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Competing in first match as Mr. Money in the Bank, Damian Priest took on fellow Money in the Bank competitor Shinsuke Nakamura. The action spilled to the outside as Priest dumped Nakamura onto the barricade. Conspicuous by his absence was Finn Bálor as the rest of The Judgment Day were at ringside. Nakamura locked in an armbar to try to submit Priest. As Nakamura went for the Kinshasa, Priest evaded, hitting a gnarly clothesline followed by South of Heaven to lock up his first win as Mr. Money in the Bank.

Match #1: North American Championship – Wes Lee def. Tyler Bate The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Nxt North American Championship is staying with Wes Lee, but not after some shenanigans involving special guest referee Mustafa Ali. Lee and Bate squared off in the spirit of competition as both Superstars have been allies to one another in recent months, but it began to turn when neither of them could trust the actions of Ali who began conducting both quick and slow counts. Bate came close on several occasions to winning the title, but Lee’s championship mettle was too great as a well-timed and well-placed Kardiak Kick ended the contest and allowed the champion to retain.

Match #1: Wes Lee, Tyler Bate & Mustafa Ali def. Schism The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The mystifying Schism was no match for the combined forces of Mustafa Ali, Tyler Bate, and the Nxt North American Champion, Wes Lee. The camaraderie of Joe Gacy, Rip Fowler, & Jagger Reid was on point to begin the match as they flexed their collective muscles to keep their opponents down and off-balance. The action broke down and it caused the official to miss Bate tagging into the match, but Gacy’s pinfall on Lee was broken up by a second official recognizing the error. Lee, Bate, and Ali used the confusion to their advantage and defeated Schism to put this terrible ordeal behind them.

Early shows of strength from Diamond Mine were countered by sneaky tactics of Schism and when the action broke down, it favored the terrifying trio. Ivy Nile locked in a Dragon Sleeper on Ava, but Jagger Reid interfered, and the distraction caused the referee to not see Ava hit Nile with the signature mask of Schism and the sequence spelled doom for Diamond Mine.
