The most surprising part was to see the young crowd making a beeline to get into the halls.
A student named Trisha said, “Recently, I saw this Ayesha Khan’s (Pakistani girl) Instagram video where she is dancing on an old song – Mera Dil Yeh Pukare Aaja. The song and her dance left me amazed and I wanted to get into the retro mode and hence came here as I came to know that Dileep Kumar’s biggest hits are being shown here.”
Another college student Arpit said, “Had read that Shahrukh Khan somehow is compared with Dileep Kumar. So I wanted to figure out how they too are similar or different.”
“We had expected senior citizens to come here and bring back their old memories but it is surprising to see youngsters visiting and watching these old movies of Dilip Kumar,” said one of the owners of the cafeteria at the theatre.

The exciting journey continues in Sony Sab’s magical fantasy show Baalveer Returns with fans set to witness an intriguing development.
The evil perpetrators of Shinkai have won as they finally get their hands on Baalveer’s (Dev Joshi) blood to fulfil their evil mission. The upcoming episodes of Baalveer Returns will take the viewers on an exhilarating journey where Baalveer will be seen struggling to save Vivaan’s (Vansh Sayani) life. In a bid to save his brother’s life, Baalveer is forced to agree to Birba’s (Ayesha Khan) terms – the key to save Vivaan in exchange of a vile of Baalveer’s blood.
Baambaal (Vimarsh Roshan), Birba and Ray (Shoaib Ali) now possess the most potent weapon – Baalveer’s blood. The blood once transfused in Ray would create the most powerful enemy that Baalveer has ever come across.

Taking the viewers through the glorious underwater world, Sony Sab’s Baalveer Returns never fails to mesmerize the audience with its grandeur and action-packed storyline. The underwater world of Shinkai has introduced a new threat in Baalveer’s (Dev Joshi) life with Baambaal (Vimarsh Roshan) and Ray (Shoaib Ali) committed to create havoc on Earth and consume the ultimate power possessed by Baalveer. The upcoming episodes promises to put the viewers on the edge of their seats as young Vivaan (Vansh Sayani) battles a life and death situation.
While Baalveer so far has been successful in destroying all the evil plans laid down by Baambaal, the upcoming episodes will witness Ray targeting Vivaan to lure Baalveer into their plan. Vivaan will be seen trapped inside a large egg under the depth of the ocean.
Elevating the challenge even further is the fact that this trap is immune to any magical powers.

OTTThe series has too many distractions and plot entanglements to keep us invested in the ‘hostages’ and their safety for 12 long episodes. Saraswati DatarIt is worth exploring why shows streaming on Ott platforms are dropping shows with over 10 episodes these days. Hostages Season 2, now streaming on Disney+Hotstar, is 12 episodes long, and a laborious watch. Ironically a stressful situation like a hostage drama should have been tightly edited and kept to an engaging single digit number of episodes. But sadly, creators Applause Entertainment and Banijay Asia Productions stretch the sequel endlessly. Season 2 picks up exactly where Season 1 ends after Prithvi (Ronit Bose Roy) successfully kidnaps Chief Minister Kl Handa (Dalip Tahhil), who we realise is Prithvi’s wife Saba’s biological father. Saba needs a bone marrow transplant to save her life and Handa is the only one who can help. Season 1 saw Prithvi take Dr Meera’s (Tisca Chopra...
