One of the biggest all-star lineups ever will celebrate the 2021 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees this weekend. The ceremony filmed October 30 in Cleveland, Ohio, and now airs this Saturday, November 20, on HBO and HBO Max.
The event clocking in at 3 hour and16 minutes honors Foo Fighters, The Go-Go’s, Jay-Z, Carole King, Todd Rundgren and Tina Turner in the performer category. Kraftwerk, Charley Patton and Gil Scott-Heron were chosen for early influence induction. LL Cool J, Billy Preston and Randy Rhoads were honored in the musical excellence category. Clarence Avant received the Ahmet Ertegun Award.
King had been previously inducted as a songwriter. Turner is now a solo artist inductee after going in with Ike Turner the first time around.

Gary Corbett, a keyboardist best known for his touring work with Kiss and Cinderella who also wrote the Cyndi Lauper hit “She Bop,” has died after a battle with lung cancer. No age was given, but he died just short of his birthday today.
Corbett’s death was confirmed by his sister in a Facebook post. “Those who knew Gary know that we and the world of music have all lost a very talented, funny, kind and gentle soul,” she wrote. “The pain cuts so deeply that our hearts are bleeding.”
A native of Brooklyn, Corbett was a child prodigy on the keyboards. By age 10, he was playing private parties on weekends, He even joined a ’40s style big band with members of The Tonight Show band.

Jeff Labar, best known as the guitarist for glam metal band Cinderella, has died. His son Sebastian confirmed the news on Wednesday via a social media post. He was 58. The cause of death was not disclosed.
“My father, my hero, my idol, passed away today. I’m currently at a loss for words. I love you pop!,” Sebastian wrote via Instagram. “If you could, please share pictures or video of all the fun times we all had with my dad. It would be greatly appreciated.”

Guitarist Jeff Labar, who was a key part of the hard rock band Cinderella as it rose to fame in the 1980s “hair band” heyday, has died. No cause of death was immediately available, but his son confirmed the death in an Instagram post.Labar’s first wife, Gaile Labar-Bernhardt, told TMZ that he was found dead Wednesday inside his Nashville apartment. Cinderella was formed in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania suburbs and became part of the big-haired, hard rock bands that emerged in a wave during the mid-1980s. The band had several multi-platinum albums and was an MTV sensation.Labar joined the band in 1985, replacing original guitarist Michael Schermick. He played on all four of the band’s studio albums.
