Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) reportedly “threw Donald Trump under the bus” during his testimony before a grand jury in the Georgia election fraud case.
Graham says that Trump would have believed that “Martians came and stole the election” from him back in 2020 when Joe Biden won the race for the White House.
In the new book Find Me the Votes: A Hard-Charging Georgia Prosecutor, a Rogue President, and the Plot to Steal an American Election, writers Michael Isikoff and Daniel Klaidman wrote, “After fighting a four-month legal battle all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court to block his grand jury subpoena – and losing … Graham turned on a dime ‘and threw Trump under the bus.”
“According to secret grand jury testimony in Fulton county confirmed by the authors, Graham testified that if you told Trump’ that Martians came and stole the election, he’d probably believe you.’ He...

Stephen Cohen (D-tn), the U.S. Representative from Tennessee’s 9th congressional district since 2007, has reintroduced a bill to strip J. Edgar Hoover’s name from the FBI building in Washington, DC. Cohen was inspired to take charge after seeing Shaka King’s “Judas and the Black Messiah.” As reported by Deadline, Cohen is working with lawmakers on the bill in the aftermath of the movie, which tells the story of Illinois Black Panther Party Chairman Fred Hampton (Daniel Kaluuya), whose death was tied to party infiltration by FBI informant William O’Neal (Lakeith Stanfield). In the film, Hoover is played by Martin Sheen.
“The movie is a clear depiction of [Hoover’s] efforts to impeded the civil rights movement,” Cohen said. Though “Judas and the Black Messiah” hasn’t screened in Washington due to the pandemic, Cohen reportedly saw the movie several weeks ago and the next day got to work with...

Rep. Steve Cohen (D-tn) said that he had no contact with the team behind Judas and the Black Messiah before he and other lawmakers reintroduced a bill to strip J. Edgar Hoover’s name from the FBI building.
“The movie is a clear depiction of his efforts to impede the civil rights movement,” Cohen said in an interview.
Award season typically sees a smattering of topical movies screened before lawmakers in D.C. or at the White House, but that hasn’t happened this year due to Covid-19 restrictions. Cohen said he watched the movie about three weeks ago and, inspired by it, called his staff the next day to work on reintroducing the legislation.

Exclusive: Tom Arnold hasn’t given up his quest to uncover incriminating evidence against Donald Trump, but his Viceland series The Hunt for the Trump Tapes With Tom Arnold is over. A source said it was only ever intended as an eight-episode series.
But Arnold isn’t done. “I am not quitting until I get all the tapes or Trump resigns, which ever happens first,” he told Deadline. “Every day both things get closer to happening.”
Over the course of the show that premiered September 18, Arnold searched high and low for elusive videotapes allegedly showing Trump in all manner of compromising positions – from the infamous “pee tape” in a Moscow hotel room to an outtake on The Apprentice in which Trump allegedly used the N-word. Arnold hasn’t found the tapes yet, if they exist, but he hasn’t stopped looking.

Tom Arnold swears he’s gonna get to the bottom of this whole “Trump tapes” thing, even if he has to take unusual routes. That includes hitting up Peter Cottontail to find out what he’s got on Potus, in the first look at the actor’s new Viceland series, “The Hunt for the Trump Tapes.”
“I’m going to dig as deep as I have to, to expose the ugly truth about the ugly man,” Arnold says in the minute-long trailer.
Viceland’s new series “The Hunt for the Trump Tapes with Tom Arnold,” will see Arnold doing some “citizen journalism” to find out the truth behind the rumored recordings of Donald Trump. It will begin with Arnold’s appearance on the “Howard Stern Show” and continues to follow the comedian as he meets with figures like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Penn Jillette, Judd Apatow and Rosie O’Donnell. Tom Arnold is searching for the Donald Trump tapes — but he means more than just the infamous, alleged Trump “pee pee tapes.” For his new Viceland series “The Hunt for the Trump Tapes,” Arnold is issuing a challenge to “The Apprentice” executive producer Mark Burnett: Release the hours of tapes of Trump on set acting inappropriate.
“Mark Burnett does have a disc with every outtake of ‘The Apprentice,'” he said. “I’d like [Burnett] to stand up and say, ‘actually we had to cut out all the lies and sexual harassment, he’s not really that guy [you saw on the screen],'” Arnold said. “The real guy is this other guy.”

Washington — The White House Correspondents Dinner has for years been about much more than the event itself: News organizations, internet firms and Washington power players have for years held their own fetes on days and nights surrounding the dinner.
This year is no exception. The arrival of Donald Trump’s administration to Washington also marked the end of some long-time parties, like a New Yorker bash and a Time-People party, but others have started. This year, Playboy is sponsoring an after-dinner “No Tie” party, hosted by Cooper Hefner, at a downtown D.C. location. The media outlet said it will mark its commitment to the First Amendment and a free press.
Other highlights of the weekend:
Thursday:
Bytes and Bylines — Allen Gannett, Eric Kuhn, John McCarthy, Susanna Quinn and Jon Steinberg host their annual event, along with Cheddar, this year at the residence of Ireland’s ambassador to the U.

Aubrey Peeple, who plays Layla on Nashville talked with TV Guide about her character’s relationship with closeted singer Will, ” I think that him being good for her career was a huge factor in why they got together. But at this point … she’s totally head over heels for him, because she’s 19. There will always be that aspect of her career that drives her, and that’s what comes first. But she’s a hormonal teenager. She’s in love with him now.” Peeple also hints that Will and Layla’s storyline should get some major developments soon.

Wikileaks' Manning Curiously Missing from Greenwald's Doc About the United States Government's Attacks on Whistleblowers In 2006, after getting stonewalled in his effort to expose critical flaws in the Deepwater program (designed to modernize the Coast Guard fleet), former Lockheed Martin project manager Michael DeKort made his case in a YouTube video. Only then did the issue get noticed, leading to improvements in Coast Guard safety. Pictured above: Thomas Drake, one of the whistleblowers featured in the documentary. It also led to DeKort spending years defending himself from those trying to discredit him. Indeed, this is where Greenwald’s film cashes in on what little indignation it generates. A lone civilian is seemingly no match against deep-pocketed forces that will do anything to protect their interests, even if -- especially if -- the whistleblower’s claims are accurate. Towards the end of the film, Thomas Drake, the former Nsa senior executive...

The cast of Pretty Little Liars is managing to get even hunkier, according to TV Guide with the addition of Sean Faris as an investigator from outside of Rosewood.
Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson tells EW that he would like to direct an episode of Doctor Who, providing the iconic series is willing to meet his fee — a Dalek.
My Name is Earl alum Nadine Velaquez is joining the cast of Major Crime in its second season, according to Deadline. Velaquez will play a D.A. working on the Phillip Stroh case who clashes with Captain Raydor.
I guess Fox News was having a slow news day. Have there been any national stories they've been trying to ignore this week? Any anniversaries?...

Once again, Monday night, Bill O'Reilly addressed the growing criticism he's received for accusing NBC News of not covering drone strikes when it was NBC reporter Michael Isikoff who released the Justice Department memo that focused the media's attention on drones in the first place. To continue that discussion, O'Reilly invited Columbia University professor Dr. Marc Lamont Hill to discuss the issue.

So please keep those details in mind as you watch Bill O'Reilly claim that NBC has been relatively silent on this story.

On Friday, MSNBC's Morning Joe presented an investigative report by Michael Isikoff on the Gitmo detention center. After listing amenities like a pricey new soccer field, Isikoff noted that the controversial prison remains open despite President Barack Obama's promise to shut it down "no later than one year from now" upon taking office. "But the President's promise," said Isikoff, "now seems all but forgotten, blocked by Congress and concerns over releasing detainees in light of ongoing national security threats."...

With lawsuits pending, Trump's business empire could not withstand the close scrutiny of a presidential campaign, and even his kids might have been muddied. Wayne Barrett, who first exposed Trump's ties to organized crime in his 1992 book, looked into the Donald's most recent business dealings and discovered:
• One associate who was an "unindicted co-conspirator" in a massive 2000 stock swindle-and escaped prison only by helping to convict 19 others, including six members of New York crime families • Two associates who served prison time on cocaine charges • Another partner prosecuted for trafficking underage girls after a dramatic helicopter raid on a yacht off the Turkish coast • A pending lawsuit against Trump Soho that alleges daughter Ivanka, among others, made fraudulent misrepresentations

On tonight's The Last Word, host Lawrence O'Donnell had some strong words for Donald Trump... kind of like all the other times he's had strong words for Trump. Calling Trump "America's Vulgarian-in-Chief," O'Donnell led viewers through Trump's recent Today interview with Savannah Guthrie, his awkward chat with George Stephanopoulos, and his interview Michael Isikoff - discussing his stance on abortion, and his doubts about Barack Obama's country of birth.
