Neil Young and Crazy Horse are about halfway through their North American tour, and there’s already a strong fan consensus that this is their best run in recent memory, perhaps even going back to the Nineties grunge era they helped kickstart. A big factor at play is the addition of guitarist Micah Nelson, who has deep respect for the material and an uncanny ability to emulate the distinct styles of both Danny Whitten and Frank “Poncho” Sampedro, his two main predecessors in the band.

Match #1: Fallon Henley def. Thea Hail The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Fallon Henley punched her ticket to Nxt Battleground by defeating her former friend Thea Hail, thanks to an unintentional assist from Chase U ally Ridge Holland. Hail had the upper hand and a frustrated Henley slid out of the ring and grabbed a chair, only to be thwarted by Holland. The Nxt official was unaware that it was Henley that introduced the weapon, and promptly ejected Holland as well as all of Chase U. Hail managed to rally without her teammates, but Henley managed to knock her around the ring before hitting a Shining Wizard to punctuate her win. After the match, Jacy Jayne’s friend Jazmyn Nyx attacked the helpless Hail.

Match #1: Dijak def. Shawn Spears The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In a match with major Nxt Stand & Deliver implications, Dijak managed outlast Shawn Spears in an incredible one-on-one match between two of the brand’s best. As the two Superstars warred inside the ring, Joe Gacy appeared from under the ring and stole Spears’ signature steel chair, seemingly helping his former rival Dijak. After a brutal, hard-hitting affair, Spears went looking for his chair only to find it missing. The slight distraction gave Dijak enough time to recover and after another back and forth, he finally managed to hit Feast Your Eyes to give him the major win.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: Thea Hail def. Jazmyn Nix The following is courtesy of wwe.

As last year’s Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning (which has dropped the “Part One” subtitle since it hit home video) wrapped up, we saw that Tom Cruise’s Imf agent lead character Ethan Hunt would live to run another day – and pictures from the set of Mission: Impossible 8 (which won’t be called Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two after all) show him doing just that! Cruise running is a big part of these movies and his overall career, so it’s nice to see that Mission: Impossible 8 will indeed have him moving across the screen as fast as his legs can carry him. There’s even some video from the set as well, if you want to see this run in action.

Hey everybody, have you heard the news? Joe Bob is back in town!
The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs has returned for its sixth season on Shudder. While the show’s format has been slightly revised — adopting a new biweekly schedule with one film instead of a double feature — the beloved horror host’s approach is much the same.
“It didn’t really change anything,” Briggs tells Bloody Disgusting. “We were crowding all of our movies into 10 weeks once a year and then having specials, and we found that people would rather have more weeks. It’s actually more movies than we had before.
“And some of the people on the East coast fall asleep in the second movie,” he laughs. “It’s about a five-hour show when it’s a double feature because we talk so much. Also, it’s hard to get thematic double features every single time.

We have reached the third episode of the second season of Paramount+’s Halo, and already pacing issues have started popping up, which was a major drawback of the first season as well. Narrative wise, the point where the last episode ended was supposed to be the initiator of the next stage of human-Covenant conflict, but the third episode stalls the flow abruptly by working around a very trope-y and contrived situation that comes off as distracting.
Previously, the first episode of the second season established the impending Covenant invasion as the central crisis, as Chief suspects the presence of Covenant forces in the Unsc colonies after his experience on Sanctuary, which gets glassed by the alien aggressors. Chief comes into conflict with newly appointed Spartan program head and Oni chief, Colonel Ackerson, who actively tries to bury the narrative under the rug by questioning Chief’s mental condition. Later,...

Robert Connolly’s 2022 directorial venture Blueback is a special kind of film where the marine life is shown with such emotion and care that they become a rich character in the film, overshadowing all the ones played by humans. Based on a novel of the same name by Tim Winton, Blueback is the story of Abby, who returns to her roots in Australia, where she spent her childhood with her mother Dora. Dora was an activist fighting against the growing fishing industry and trying to save the species that were indigenous to the reef near which they lived. Abby comes back to care for Dora, who had a stroke, and reminisces about the time when she had befriended a blue groper.
Spoilers Ahead
Plot Synopsis: What Happens In The Film?
Abby’s father had once gone out into Roebuck Bay and never returned. It was a shark attack, everyone assumed.

Death is the ultimate leveler. It comes for everyone in the end, no matter your station in life. Never is that more unsettlingly apparent than in 1988’s The Blob, directed by Chuck Russell from a script he co-wrote with Frank Darabont. The creature feature lets loose a gelatinous pink blob of goo upon the small town of Arborville, California, where it wreaks havoc with its insatiable appetite. It doesn’t care about archetypical hero or villain roles; its sole aim is to devour.
The eponymous Blob acts as a giant slithering stomach, dissolving its food for digestion with extreme acidity. That means that not only is the body count high for this ever-growing creature, but the deaths are deliciously mean-spirited and unforgettable thanks to gruesome special makeup effects from Tony Gardner and an incredible team of artists. Russell and Darabont reinforce the SFX showcase with unpredictability and meticulous characterization to...

Greg Tarzan Davis is the only actor who can say that his first three films were Tom Cruise-led blockbusters, beginning with Top Gun: Maverick and now, Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One and Part Two. Davis bonded with Maverick co-writer and Mission: Impossible co-mastermind Christopher “McQ” McQuarrie on the set of Joseph Kosinski’s smash hit, and so McQ later conceived Dead Reckoning Part One with Davis in mind for a role.
Overall, Davis is grateful to his seasoned collaborators for passing on their knowledge to him, starting with his Dead Reckoning Part One scene partner, Shea Whigham. Whigham not only taught him the value of providing a variety of different takes, but he also helped him with his self-tapes during their downtime. The lessons didn’t stop there as Davis once again shadowed McQ on set, as well as in the editing room, alongside Cruise and editor Eddie Hamilton.

The Joe Bob Briggs episode of the Wtf Happened to This Horror Celebrity? video series (formerly known as Where in the Horror Are They Now) was Written and Narrated by Jessica Dwyer and Edited by Victoria Verduzco. It was Produced by John Fallon and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
There’s a gold standard that horror hosts are held to. The icons become as popular as the movies that they show. Zacherley, Elvira, and Vampira are some of the names that come to mind, all of them inherently macabre in their own way. Most horror hosts have something ooky and spooky about them. And then there’s the one and only Joe Bob Briggs. Joe Bob is his own sort of creature, a Drive In Cowboy who loves blood, breasts, and beasts… and going on long, amazing rants about all the things he has a problem with in the world.

Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into it and see what happened this week…
Match #1: Tiffany Stratton def. Gigi Dolin The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Nxt Women’s Championship kicked off in epic fashion as Tiffany Stratton became the first Superstar to punch their ticket to the semi-finals after an incredible match against Gigi Dolin. Dolin was still harboring some effects from the beatdown Jacy Jayne laid upon her last week, but she persevered despite having a compromised shoulder. In a savvy move, Stratton targeted that shoulder throughout the match, using it to neutralize Dolin every single time she gained some momentum. By the end of the match, Dolin’s shoulder couldn’t hold up as Stratton hit her signature rolling fireman’s carry and then finished the bout with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever to advance.

“The Masked Singer” season 9 kicked off on February 15 with an episode packed with a trio of talents taking to the stage. After the Gnome was revealed to be TV icon Dick Van Dyke, the celebrities disguised as Medusa and Mustang did battle in a sing-off set to Rihanna‘s chart-topper “Diamonds.” After Mustang lost she was revealed to be country music superstar Sara Evans. That left us wondering who was hidden under the Medusa mask.
