When a films starts with a simple narrative explaining the movie or what is about to happen, with the text showing on screen, I always have a quick smile. There’s some classic horror that has started this way and I think I mostly remember it from the begining of The Blair Witch Project. Because of that my hopes are always a little higher when I see this, for some reason I forget the dozens, possibly hundreds of movies that I’ve seen with this opening that haven’t been so great. As you’ve probably guessed, Clinton Road starts this way.
Clinton Road has three fairly well known acting names that star.

Dmx is resuming his acting career, but in a role most would consider a stretch ... 'cause now he's playing Johnny Law and busting bad guys. It's called "range" in the biz. It's a pretty striking image, considering X's lengthy rap sheet. The movie features Brendan...

When Lillo Brancato Jr. was chosen to play Robert De Niro‘s son in 1993’s A Bronx Tale, he was considered one of Hollywood’s hottest young actors. With all the offers that entailed.
At the time, De Niro took the then-17-year-old under his wing and gave him some fatherly advice. “Early on in my career I spoke to Bob and Chazz about how profound changes would occur in my life,” Brancato, now 41, tells People. “They said once this movie goes out, you will have people around you who will expose you to dangerous things and you have to be careful.

Bachelorette parties, beefy dudes and dollar bills — oh my! It must mean that the "Magic Mike" trailer dropped.
And, yes, the trailer is filled with lots of Channing Tatum goodness — read goodness as: he's shirtless, a lot — as well as cameos from fellow hunks Matthew McConaughey and Alex Pettyfer.
The trailer follows the story of Tatum's character, Magic Mike, as he tries to balance his life as a stripper with a budding romance and his dreams of designing furniture. It seems that the Steven Soderbergh-directed flick, which opens in June, will have lots of heart and lots of laughs.

Cult indie filmmaker Lisa Hammer (Pox, The Venture Brothers) has a new feature film! The new James Merendino/Lisa Hammer feature The Invisible Life Of Thomas Lynch is screening at the Cmj Film Festival this Thursday in NYC!

Directed by James Merendino (Slc Punk, Magicians) and Lisa Hammer (The Venture Brothers, Mors Syphilitica) Starring: Steve Stanulis as Thomas Lynch, James Merendino as himself, Lisa Hammer as herself, Levi Wilson as himself, Andrew Langton as Frank Ritchie, Christiane Seidel as Tina,...
