Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings caught some flak from viewers on Tuesday night (April 30) after making a harsh ruling that cost one contestant $800 in the middle of a tense game. Tuesday’s episode saw reigning champion Amy Hummel, an ER doctor from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, taking on Bryan Carrasco, a mortgage loan originator from Columbia, Missouri, and Laura Bligh, a webmaster from Vienna, Virginia. Hummel, who had already amassed a four-day total of $85,794, was looking for her fifth win but found stiff competition from Carrasco and Bligh. After the first round, Hummel and Bligh were tied on $4,800, while Carrasco followed closely behind with $4,200. Things got dicey in the Double Jeopardy! round. Carrasco’s score dropped to $0 after he confused “Rhone” and “Rhine” during a Daily Double. Meanwhile, Hummel and Bligh stayed neck and neck, both answering multiple clues correctly. However, the game took a turn when Bligh buzzed in to answer the...

While fans were always hopeful the spirit would return, the reappearance of Flower restored Woodstone Mansion’s vibe. Keeping the secret was no easy task for Sheila Carrasco, the actor who portrays Flower on Ghosts. Carrasco recently revealed it was difficult not to tell those closest to her what was happening.

Ghosts‘ third season is keeping fans in limbo when it comes to missing ghost and hippie Flower (Sheila Carrasco). Ever since it was teased that she wasn’t really “sucked off,” a.k.a. crossed over to the other side, but was instead in a well on Woodstone’s property, viewers have been patiently awaiting her return. As previously reported, Carrasco, who plays the beloved character, had been pregnant in the weeks leading up to filming and gave birth to her first child when production resumed following the strikes last year. So, it’s understandable why the show would delay her return because you can’t exactly explain how a ghost is suddenly pregnant when they never seem to change. CBS While there’s no confirmation of Flower’s return quite yet, the question feels closer to “when” than “if” she’ll return. But as the season continues, she has yet to make an appearance,...

Chilean filmmaker Cons Gallardo Vásquez, whose 2017 debut “In Transit” was awarded at BioBío Cine and Sanfic, is readying their next project, “La Búsqueda Del Otro” (“Searching For the Other”), featured at this week’s Sanfic Industria’s Works In Progress strand, one of the highest profile pix-in-post showcases in South America.
Produced by Esteban Sandoval Carrasco, executive director at Pejeperro Films (“Bajo Sospecha: Zokunentu”), the project gives a tender nod to personas who are half-realized and a human being with intricate layers seen only for those who look below the surface.
With a healthy disdain toward the deluge of labels thrust upon anyone that veers from the straight and narrow, Gallardo Vásquez sets off in search of Machi Marcelina, a Mapuche elder and spiritual figure unjustly detained in a men’s prison after being accused of killing one of her patients. Stripped of her dignity, she returned to her community and retreated inward.
