In what may be the biggest numbers racked up by any real estate team in the United States in 2023 — a challenging year for residential sales across the country — the Eklund Gomes Team at Douglas Elliman tells The Hollywood Reporter exclusively that it closed $3.77 billion in deals last year.
The team, co-founded by Fredrik Eklund (former star of Bravo’s reality series Million Dollar Listing) and John Gomes, counts around 80 agents on its roster who work in celebrity-heavy markets in four states: New York, Florida, California and Texas.
Contributing to that $3.77 billion number is the fact that around 25 of Eklund Gomes Team’s agents made more than $1 million in commissions last year and “13 of our agents had better years in 2023 than they did in 2022,” says Eklund Gomes Team CEO Julia Spillman. Adds Eklund, “We’re proud.”

Real estate agents are already using ChatGPT to help write listing descriptions, while prop tech, short for property technology, is one of the hottest areas of development in the real estate world, from artificial intelligence-powered interior design generator ReImagine Home (which can be used by potential buyers to quickly envisage how a home could be remodeled) to Listing Showcase, a new immersive virtual viewing experience from Zillow (which has long used an algorithm to produce its Zestimate, its proprietary home-value estimator).
Now, as concerns mount that AI will replace jobs, the mega-selling Eklund | Gomes Team at Douglas Elliman — which did $4.6 billion in residential real estate deals in 2022 — is launching Maya, which it describes as an AI real estate expert that can provide tailored listing information drawn directly from property photos, continuously learn by active engagement with users, and act as a guide to everything from neighborhoods to the basics of real estate.

Here’s the story …
Of a house called Brady …
Which just sold for 42 percent under its asking price in the latest example of the current real estate slump amid the highest mortgage rates in two decades …
Ok, so those lyrics don’t exactly flow, let alone rhyme. But that’s what happened to the famed Brady Bunch house (photos below), which just got snatched up for $3.2 million — $2.3 million off its $5.5 million asking price.
The 1959 Studio City home became iconic after its exterior was used for the 1969 sitcom. In 2018, HGTV purchased the house for $3.5 million and remodeled its exterior and interior to look exactly like the beloved series (the sitcom’s interior shots were filmed inside a studio).

The new owner, Tina Trahan, plans to use the home for charity events and luxury rental. “It was a nostalgic purchase she just had to have,” says her agent at Douglas Elliman.

Million Dollar Listing stars are heading south! Fredrik Eklund recently announced he moved his family to Miami and now Josh Flagg just purchased a $4.25 million dollar Miami mansion.
Flagg has no plans to completely relocate to South Florida and shared on Instagram “No. Not moving to Florida. Yes. Will spend a little time there.”
Eklund, however, has different plans. In early July he announced that his Beverly Hills home was up for rent and his business was expanding into the South Florida market.
“I’ve built a strong team here and we continue to set records,” he captioned an Instagram photo of his Beverly Hills home. “However, my business is expanding quickly in Miami and the twins got into one of the best schools there for the Fall. Welcome to this week’s “Just for Variety.”
Mark Consuelos doesn’t mind hand-me-downs from Ryan Seacrest. Consuelos tells me he’s inheriting Seacrest’s dressing room when “Live With Kelly and Ryan” becomes “Live With Kelly and Mark” on April 17. “I’m no dummy,” Consuelos says on this week’s episode of the “Just for Variety” podcast. “Ryan is very fancy — he’s got fancy stuff.”
At the same time it was announced in February that Seacrest was leaving “Live,” it was revealed that Consuelos will replace him as his wife Kelly Ripa’s co-host on the syndicated daytime talk show. “The first conversations started with like, ‘That is the worst idea ever,’”
Consuelos recalls. “Kelly and I were like, ‘Yeah, that’s insane. Why would we do that?’ Then I was like, ‘Well, I have filled in a lot over the past few years.’ She goes, ‘You have.

Mega-selling The Altman Brothers team, known for starring on Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, has just signed a new, multiyear deal to remain at their brokerage of Douglas Elliman Realty.
Co-founded by brothers Josh and Matt Altman and led by CEO Heather Altman (who is also Josh’s wife), The Altman Brothers transacted more than $2.5 billion in deals in the past 24 months. “That equates to about $4 million a day in sales every day of the year,” says Josh Altman in an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “We did almost $1.2 billion in 2022 and $1.5 billion in 2021.” (Overall, across the country, Douglas Elliman had $42.9 billion in gross transactions in 2022 and $51.2 billion the prior year.)

Josh Flagg from Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles got a little shady on Watch What Happens Live when he claimed to not know that Mauricio Umansky had a show.
A virtual Wwhl fan asked Flagg and co-guest Tracy Tutor if they considered Umansky to be their biggest real estate competitor and their thoughts on his Netflix show Buying Beverly Hills. “I didn’t know he had a show,” Flagg said looking perplexed.
Tracy Tutor from ‘Million Dollar Listing’ counters Josh Flagg’s comment
Meanwhile, Tutor had nothing but love for Buying Beverly Hills. “I think it’s adorable. I love watching Farrah,” she said.
She added, “I think she’s just a little boss. I think the family dynamic is super sweet with them and I celebrate them. So congratulations.”

Perhaps Flagg’s shade came from being outranked by Altman.

On Jan. 17, the top power players in Miami and Palm Beach’s hot residential real estate market — where two estates topped the 100 million mark last year — arrived at the Baz Luhrmann-designed Faena Theater in Miami Beach. They were gathered for the inaugural South Florida iteration of The Hollywood Reporter’s signature real estate event, the Power Broker Awards, which honors top-selling star agents across three cultural capitals. The awards event, which The New Yorker has called “The Oscars but for Hollywood Real Estate,” debuted in Los Angeles in 2021 and New York in 2022.

It doesn’t take an appraiser to know there remains big market value in Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles. After all, the Bravo hit following heavy hitters in the world of real estate is entering its 14th season. This year the focus turns solely on the lives of Tracy Tutor, Josh Altman, and Josh Flagg. This comes after Fredrik Eklund, James Harris, and David Parnes stepped away from the series. Million Dollar Listing: New York is not returning to Bravo anytime soon. The cable channel has "paused" the series, per Variety, so there will not be a 10th season, at least not in the immediate future. Bravo prefers not to refer to a series as cancelled since the channel could revive it at some point in the future.
Million Dollar Listing: New York is a spin-off of Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles. The New York series premiered in 2012, six years after the original series' debut. Million Dollar Listing: New York last aired on in May 2021 with the completion of a 16-episode ninth season.

“Million Dollar Listing New York” has been delisted by Bravo, ending its nine-season run for the foreseeable future.
Bravo has put the New York edition of the franchise “on pause,” TheWrap has learned. The network had no comment.
By pausing the series, and not officially canceling it, the network leaves the door open for a possible return — as was the case when Peacock announced in 2021 that it was developing a “The Real Housewives of Miami” revival after the show stopped running regularly in 2014.

A person’s fancy often turns to thoughts of love in the spring. But in New York City, land of the multimillion-dollar one-bedroom apartment, it’s quite possible that real estate is even more important than love. (Sorry, Tennyson!) And in the Big Apple, more new developments launch in the springtime than any other season. So, let’s put aside the Rilke poems because spring has sprung and it’s show time for some of the city’s most gorgeous new buildings.
We’ve rounded up some of the most indulgent, mouth-watering residential options launching this spring in both Manhattan and Brooklyn. (Spoiler alert: it’s entirely possible that the best views are actually from Brooklyn.) All three buildings sport a laundry list of luxurious amenities, private members clubs, and top-of-the-line materials, such as leathered marble counters, suede Venetian plaster walls, and matte platinum fixtures.
These buildings have also got wellness options out the wazoo.

It’s nowhere near the highest price ever paid for a single-family home in L.A.’s historic and historically hoity-toity Hancock Park neighborhood — that honor goes to a the baronial red-brick Tudor Nickelodeon president Brian Robbins sold in early 2020 for $19 million — but the recent $13.8 million sale of a fashionably rehabbed Italian Renaissance Revival-style mansion that anchors a prominent corner of the exclusive neighborhood does represent the to-date highest amount paid this year for a single-family home in that particularly fancy-pants part of town.
Completed in 1930, the grandly proportioned house was built for prominent L.A. developer Joseph A. DeBell — he gifted 100 acres to the city of Burbank in 1954, which he then developed into the DeBell Golf Course, and tax records show the nearly two-third-acre spread was sold by real estate developer and hospitality entrepreneur Lorenzo Boucetta and his wife Kaya Boucetta. Though the Boucettas, who bought the place in 2018 for $7.2 million,...

Work from home—literally! In an exclusive sneak peek at tomorrow's new Million Dollar Listing New York, airing July 15, broker Fredrik Eklund moves into a sprawling $15 million penthouse that he's looking to sell. The live-in sale situation is for a property at 80 E. 10th St. in Manhattan, and Fredrik is a little hesitant about getting too intimate with the property. "Living in a space that you're trying to sell, I mean, that's not a secret to anybody," Fredrik tells the camera. "That's weird. I don't like to show my own bathroom, I don't like to show my own clothes. It's strange but I've got to make the best out of it." Fredrik...

Ryan Serhant and Fredrik Eklund may not see eye to eye on everything, but the Million Dollar Listing New York stars both can't help but gush over newcomer Kirsten Jordan. Kirsten is the first female real estate agent on the hit Bravo Big Apple franchise, and Fredrik and Ryan can't contain how much they adore working with the mother of three. "I'm very happy about her joining, thank god," Frederik exclusively revealed to E! News ahead of tonight's Mdlny season nine premiere. "I've been very vocal about that for years to have a woman, or multiple women actually. There's been enough testosterone." From the teaser trailer, it's clear Kirsten has no problem...

There are few reality TV feuds as fiery as the one between Million Dollar Listing New York's top agents Fredrik Eklund and Ryan Serhant. The dueling real estate brokers seem to have a lot in common: both Mdlny O.G.s dominate the Big Apple market, and are married fathers of toddlers. Yet for some reason, Fredrik and Ryan just can't see eye to eye. "God, I feel like we take one step forward and two steps backwards—three steps in this case," Fredrik exclusively told E! News ahead of the season nine premiere on May 6. "Ryan and I get into it, again, big time." So what sparked their latest disagreement? It seems to have to do with Fredrik balancing his...

"But how it relates to my business was tricky because I had to go back and forth because I'm bicoastal...In a world where we were not even allowed to do real estate showings, we had to be creative there and push the envelope." Eklund filmed Mdlny and sister series Million Dollar Listing Los...

As you’ll see in the trailer, the New York City mass exodus is in full swing due to the coronavirus pandemic. And for some reason, there’s a llama in a luxury apartment. (Or is it an alpaca? We can never keep those two straight.)
Plus, Ryan Serhant and Fredrik Eklund are fighting like llamas and alpacas. (We’re sure some of them fight — they can’t all be friends.)

Though he famously references the exclusive community of Hidden Hills on his song “Butterfly Effect,” it seems Houston-born rapper, reigning sneaker tycoon and Fortnite record-smasher Jacques Webster — better known as Travis Scott — would rather live in L.A.’s Brentwood neighborhood, where he’s dropped $23.5 million on a colossal hilltop house with panoramic views over the entire city, and where some of his nearest neighbors include LeBron James and Petra Ecclestone.

Million Dollar Listing New York has become one of Bravo’s biggest hits in the Million Dollar Listing franchise. Even though the Los Angeles show was the original one, the New York show quickly proved that it could compete with the best. Since the New York show premiered back in 2012, Miami and San Francisco versions have also filmed and aired on Bravo, though with no renewals. Million Dollar Listing New York has just wrapped its 7th season, wrapping up another 12-episode season on September 4th. The show currently follows Fredrik Eklund, Ryan Serhant, and Steve Gold. Bethenny Frankel and Fredrik Eklund teamed up for a spin-off show, where the two combined their passions – remodeling an apartment and selling it to excited buyers. Bethenny, who is best known for her role on The Real Housewives of New York, and Fredrik, who is on Million Dollar Listing New York, are actually friends in real life. While teaming up for the show appeared to be a good idea, it was clear that Fredrik didn’t always enjoy being on the receiving end of Frankel’s demands. Steve Gold joined Million Dollar Listing New York in 2017 during the show’s sixth season. Unlike Ryan Serhant and Fredrik Eklund, who have filmed the show since the very beginning, Steve joined rather late. He replaced Luis Dr. Ortiz, who felt that he had to leave real-estate behind to focus on other ventures. Because Steve didn’t film Million Dollar Listing: New York for years, his net worth isn’t thought to be as high as that of his co-stars. Steve Gold’s net worth is reported to be around $10 million, which is significantly lower than Eklund’s estimated $30million. But he’s certainly not struggling, and […]

Throughout his time on Million Dollar Listing New York, Eklund has sold a long list of million-dollar properties, gotten paid from Bravo for filming the show, written a bestselling book about selling, and created his own line of rosé wine.
