Sam Holter

Sam Holter is a Director of Photography and 1st AC based in Phoenix, Arizona. At eight years old, having been intrigued by filmmaking, Holter started shooting and directing home movies and creating stop motion animation films. He began working at a local production company at age 16 where he sharpened his skills and broadened his horizons. Having also been trained in music at a young age, Holter gravitated toward the world of music videos. Years later, Holter now works as the Director of Photography for Gridhouse Media, which he co-founded with his frequent collaborators, shooting music videos, corporate spots, and narrative films. He also works in the freelance world as a 1st AC and Camera Operator, often spending time on short and feature length projects.
