Tubert, Susana is Creative Director of Creative Entertainment at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.
In her role, she provides creative leadership to show directors and writer teams on a variety of projects, including: stage shows, parades, spectaculars, atmosphere entertainment and special events. She also directs the development of treatments, scripts, scenic and costume design, music development, and all the other creative elements which she oversees from the page to the stage.
Prior to joining the Disneyland Resort, Tubert, Susana worked for more than 30 years in the Entertainment Industry, principally as a stage, TV (Segment Director on "The Guiding Light" and various other indie projects) and film director/producer/writer of the short film "Gypsy Girl" which premiered at the NY International Latino Film Festival.
In 2005, she co-founded the Latino International Theater Festival of New York, Inc. and served until 2013 as Executive Director and Producer of its signature citywide program TeatroStageFest.
Tubert, Susana curated TeatroStageFest's groundbreaking local and international theatre, music, dance and puppetry productions from Latin America, the Caribbean and Spain. She also conceived and launched the Young Playwrights Latino Challenge competition for high school students, programmed indoor and outdoor TeatroStageFamily shows for young audiences, and produced a theatre tour to Colombia, Argentina and Brazil, as well as a four-city national tour in the United States. The citywide festival was adopted by Mayor Bloomberg as an Official Event of the City of New York, and Tubert, Susana was recognized by Governor Paterson with the Bobby Capó Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions to New York State's Arts and Culture.
Tubert, Susana has been a Guest Director at Dartmouth College, New York University and in Toni Morrison's Atelier at Princeton University. She is a member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers and the Directors' Guild of America.
Originally from Argentina, Tubert, Susana moved to New York City in 1980 where she resided until 2013, when she relocated to Orange County to work at Disney.
