company she played the small roles of Chloe in "Princess Ida", and The
Lady Ella in "Patience". She gave up both roles at the start of the
1925-1926 season, though she did substitute on occasion as Chloe, before
leaving the Company in December on the eve of its 21-week tour of
Canada.
