Rachel Robey is a producer and co-founder at Wellington Films, helping originate a series of acclaimed shorts, feature films and documentaries over the past two decades.
Rachel's breakout success came with Paul Andrew Williams' 2006 feature debut London To Brighton, which marked a reunion with the director after collaborating on his 2001 short Royalty. Critically acclaimed, the film went on to win numerous prizes, including Best Achievement In Production at the British Independent Film Awards and Most Promising Newcomer for Williams at the Evening Standard British Film Awards.
Other credits include Duane Hopkins' 2008 drama Better Things, which debuted at the Cannes Film Festival in Critics Week and Justin Molotnikov's 2009 drama Crying With Laughter, which won Rachel and her fellow producers the prestigious Best Feature Film at the BAFTA Scotland awards. More recently, she produced Hope Dickson Leach's The Levelling, which won a BAFTA Scotland Award for Best Writer and a nomination for Best Director.
Rachel's most recent production, delivered May 2020, has been Simon Ellis' As Dead As It Gets starring Michael Socha, Brian Bovell and Roger Sloman.
Rachel's huge experience in film production has also seen her work in physical production on a number of celebrated films, including Anton Corbijn's Control, Shane Meadows' Dead Man's Shoes and Sam Garbarski's Irina Palm.
Wellington Films was named one of the Brit 50 Film Companies in Screen International in 2018.
