Discovery+ is the U.K. home for TNT Sports. It will be available under a premium plan, priced at £29.99 ($39.25) per month, which is the same price as was previously charged for a BT sport monthly Pass.

Manchester, Feb 24 (Ians) Before this Thursday, Barcelona enjoyed the upper hand in their head-to-head series against Manchester United, winning 6 out of the 15 clashes across all competitions in Europe.
In the Champions League, Manchester United, the dominant force in England a couple of decades back, have met Spanish giants Barcelona 10 times, of which the Red Devils have won just once. That win came way back in 2008 when a Paul Scholes goal in the second leg of the Champions League semifinal put the English club in the final. United went on to win that final in what remains their last Champions League triumph.
They have a better record in Europa League in which the two teams have met twice. The first game ended in a 2-2 draw at Camp Nou and the match set a Europa League attendance record of 90,255 fans in the stadium. In the second leg of the same tie,...

Doha, Nov 21 (Ians) England coach Gareth Southgate has confirmed in his pre-game press conference that neither Leicester City midfielder James Maddison nor Manchester City veteran defender Kyle Walker would be available for England’s 2022 World Cup opening match against Iran later on Monday.
Maddison misses the game with a knee injury that he picked up in the last Premier League game before the World Cup finals, while Walker is putting the finishing touches to his recovery from a knee operation in early October.
“Kyle Walker is a little bit short (of fitness) for this game, but is progressing really well. We are ahead of where we thought he might be at this point,” Southgate said of the defender, while commenting on Maddison that he “hasn’t been able to train since we arrived, so he will not be able to make the game tomorrow.”

Soccer Aid for Unicef 2021, broadcast live and exclusively on ITV, Stv and the ITV hub this evening from the Etihad Stadium, has raised a record-breaking £13,014,769 so far for Unicef’s vital work keeping children around the world, happy, healthy and able to play.
Robbie Williams, Usain Bolt, David Beckham
This record-breaking amount was raised thanks to the generous support of the UK public, ITV and Stv viewers, and the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (Ciff) who matched all public donations up to £6.3 million, meaning double the difference for children. This figure has smashed all previous records for money raised on the night.
The eagerly anticipated match took place once again in Manchester, and this time players took centre stage at the sold out Etihad Stadium with 51,674 fans in attendance, in line with current Covid safety regulations, following last year’s match behind closed doors. The match ended 3-0 to Soccer...

Money in the world of football has become a big talking point within the game. Be it transfer fees, ticket prices, imaging and TV rights, or even the odd FIFA related bribing scandal, the financial element of the game will now always be questioned. With figures nearly exceeding £100,000,000 for a single player it’s beginning to feel that clubs can demand stupid money for any player within their squad. You only have to look at players like Dwight Gayle, Jake Livermore, and Robert Snodgrass who are being bought for £10 million plus. I mean, Crystal Palace bought Jeffery Schlupp for £12 million! Am I missing something here? It’s like money doesn’t have any value within the game anymore.
Of course, there are some transfers that warrant clubs splashing out large amounts of money to get their man. Players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Luis Suarez, and Neymar to name a few.

On Facebook, a cascade of homophobia appears under images of the campaign, fans commenting that they are withdrawing their support of clubs they’d loved all their lives, that they’re a disgrace, disgusting, evil. Seeing this, it’s perhaps unsurprising there are no out gay players in the premiership. Tovey’s hope is that one might accidentally stumble into a screening of the film and emerge,...

Autumn nights may be getting colder and darker, but thankfully, 'tis the season of brilliant television. And trust us, there's no let up this week - from the first new-look X Factor live shows, to the return of excellent hit comedies Catastrophe and Detectorists.
1. Scream Queens - Monday, 10pm on E4
It's Halloween week, so what better way to mark the occasion by watching a bunch of horror movie clichés screaming their lungs out and being as catty as an Apprentice contestant?
Jamie Lee Curtis stars in this hilariously camp horror anthology series which also contains a who's-who of young stars from Emma Roberts to Lea Michele to Nick Jonas. Even Ariana Grande isn't safe in this Mean Girls vs Midsomer Murders madness.
2. Catastrophe - Tuesday, 10pm on Channel 4
It only feels like yesterday since Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney's messed-up romcom began, and we're being spoiled rotten...

Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville has given his blessing to the homeless squatters who have taken up residence in his new hotel and allowed them to stay in the building during the winter.
Former Manchester United star Neville and hotel co-owner Ryan Giggs have received planning permission to transform Manchester's historic stock exchange into a new boutique hotel, but the building was sitting empty as the footballers planned for extensive renovations to take place before opening. Housing activists occupied the site on Saturday (October 17).
Wesley Hall, leader of housing activists Manchester Angels, told the Manchester Evening News that he was left "crying and shaking" after talking to Neville on Sunday.
"What a great guy Gary Neville is," Hall said. "We've been in negotiations with him and things are looking good. He said the main building work isn't taking place until February, so we'll be okay to stay until then."
I'm crying.

Documentary film The Class of 92 documented the journeys of a group of footballers as they went from fledgling youth players to worldwide icons in a matter of years.
Now, a new BBC series shows how Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Phil Neville and Nicky Butt are taking on the serious side of football: owning a club.

In terms of football, the 21st century has been magnificent. The game has continued to grow, and the battle for its top prizes seems to get more and more competitive by the year. Over the last 14 years, we have witnessed Barcelona become arguably the greatest club side ever, Arsenal and Juventus go entire domestic seasons unbeaten, Manchester United dominate much of the English game and Brazil, Italy, Spain and Germany win the World Cup.
During that same time frame there have been some truly astounding players to grace the game. Goalkeepers and defenders like Manuel Neuer, Gianluigi Buffon, Fabio Cannavaro, Cafu and Philipp Lahm have shown their consistent brilliance, English stars like Steven Gerrard, Paul Scholes and Wayne Rooney have been world-class for long periods and supreme strikers like Raul, Andriy Shevchenko and Luis Suarez have wowed audiences week in, week out with their talent. Although the likes of La Liga, Serie A and the Bundesliga may be more technical, defensively-sound and tactical, when it comes to entertainment and drama there is nothing that comes close to the Premier League. Reports came out yesterday claiming Premier League side Aston Villa had lodged an £8 million offer but now the La Liga side have apparently entered the bidding as well.
News that Valencia have entered the race will come as something of a surprise, and it was believed Villa were one of the front runners for the midfielder’s signature, while Premier League rivals Everton, Sunderland, West Ham and even Arsenal are also interested in the United academy graduate.
The much-maligned Cleverley used to be considered a bright talent at Old Trafford and was tipped to go on and achieve great things when he joined the club’s youth academy from Bradford in 2000, and was touted to become “the next Paul Scholes“. However, those...

Manchester United are one of the world’s biggest and most successful football teams and have dominated the British game for the last two decades, winning no fewer than 38 trophies over the last 27 years, including 13 Premier League titles and two Champions League crowns. Because of their success they have been able to sign some of the biggest names in the sport, from ‘King’ Eric Cantona through to Cristiano Ronaldo.
A great number of the players United have signed have gone on to either enjoy tremendous success or become a club legend, with their names still sung from the Stretford End to this day. Players such as Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs will live forever in Old Trafford folklore while the likes of Sir Bobby Charlton, George Best and Denis Law have been immortalised in the form of a statue outside the famous stadium.

Manchester United could “vanish into the wilderness” and need to “arrest their decline”, according to legendary midfielder Paul Scholes, who says he is “genuinely scared” for his former club. Scholes, who spent his entire career at United after joining their youth academy in 1991, also believes new manager Louis van Gaal has to sign five new players.
United finished seventh last season after a disappointing spell under former manager David Moyes, who was sacked after less than a year back in April. And, speaking to the Independent, Scholes said: “I’m sick of having to criticise the club to which I gave my life as a player, but United need to arrest their decline.”
The Red Devils this week completed the £16 million signing of Argentina defender Marcos Rojo from Sporting Lisbon, making him their third summer signing following the arrivals of Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera. But Scholes,...

The World Cup is over and Louis van Gaal has finally taken charge at Manchester United – almost two months to the day of being named as David Moyes’s successor. Van Gaal has overseen a successful World Cup campaign with the Netherlands during that period, guiding them to a third place finish, and has now got to work at Old Trafford.
Today, the Dutchman delivered his first ever press conference as Red Devils boss, and there were more than a few interesting revelations as he undertook his media duties for the first time in his reign at United.
Van Gaal answered questions on what would represent a successful season during his first campaign in charge of the club, whether or not he intends to retain the services of Paul Scholes and Phil Neville in his backroom team and when he expects to unveil another new signing.

It’s very rare that footballers please everyone, and in all honesty, it’s becoming an even greater task to please anyone at all. Players are paid so heavily, and seem so far removed from the reality of their fans that they seem entirely alien, and entirely unrelatable, which makes it all the more easy to praise them to super-human levels and hate them as sub-humans when they transgress. Some players repay their fans with loyalty but there’s a select few who have contributed to their own downfall over the years.
Being a one club man is a bizarre occurrence in the modern era of football, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Steven Gerrard are amongst a limited group of the games greatest players to have achieved such a feat. They may not be the best individuals, but longevity gains a lot of respect from fans,...

Despite uttering the infamous line "you can't win anything with kids", Alan Hansen went on to become one of the longest-running and most well-respected football pundits in the UK.
After 22 years, Hansen has appeared on his final edition of Match of the Day on BBC One, leaving Alan Shearer as the only regular pundit alongside Gary Lineker on the flagship football show.
With a place to fill, Digital Spy has selected 11 potential candidates to replace Hansen as the next full-time pundit from the 2014/15 season onwards.
1. Gary Neville
The BBC may be tempted to sensationally poach arguably the best pundit working today in Gary Neville. Sky are highly unlikely to let the older Neville leave, but he would bring a modern, technology-filled touch to proceedings. Despite only working on TV for a couple of seasons, he has already built a reputation as an intelligent expert, rather than just an ex-player saying a few words on screen.

Manchester United is one of the world’s biggest clubs, despite their torrid season last time out, where they finished 7th amid a series of fallouts and poor showings. After 26 years of Sir Alex Ferguson at the helm, it was always going to be a season of transition. They did not play well at all and players like Wayne Rooney nearly left the club, with the majestic Ryan Giggs also retiring.
However, the list of players who regret leaving Man United could still fill several books. These players range from talents full of youthful promise who drifted into obscurity to experienced players who left for pastures new who found out that the grass was not greener on the other side. Sometimes sticking is better than twisting in life. The list of successful one-club men at United like Giggs, Paul Scholes and Bobby Charlton is testament to this fact.

Bayern Munich and Netherlands winger Arjen Robben has been linked with a move to Manchester United recently, but should the Red Devils sign the 30-year-old?
Robben is enjoying an impressive World Cup at present with the Holland national side, and is the tournament’s sixth-highest goalscorer – level with compatriot Robin van Persie with three goals.
Will he line up alongside van Persie at Old Trafford next season?
The Red Devils have just appointed Netherlands manager Louis van Gaal as their new boss following David Moyes’s disastrous reign, and Lvg knows the player well.
It was van Gaal who brought Robben to current club Bayern in 2009, signing him from Real Madrid, and the duo spent two years together at the Allianz Arena, winning the Bundesliga, Dfb-Pokal and Dfb-Supercup in 2010.

The Class of '92 directors Ben and Gabe Turner are to make a feature film about Laurie Cunningham.
The footballer, who died in a car crash in Madrid in 1983, was only the second black player to be capped for England and went on to inspire a generation of black footballers.
The Turner brothers - who also directed documentary First Among Equals: The Laurie Cunningham Story for ITV - told Digital Spy they hope to be shooting the biopic by the end of the year.
"One of our long-term projects was to have a crack at making a biopic," explained Ben.
"We had originally done the research to make a film about Laurie and then it became topical, so we got to do the documentary.
"Laurie is an incredible character and has huge cultural significance."

Premier League champions Manchester United could turn to Napoli playmaker Marek Hamsik to solve their creative midfield crisis.
A report in Thursday’s Daily Star claims reports coming out of Italy suggest that Red Devils manager David Moyes is widening his search to replace the retired Paul Scholes.
Slovakia star Hamsik, 26, began the season in fine form for Napoli, scoring four times in the opening two Serie A matches. He has missed the last month through injury, however, but still managed a total of six goals in nine league starts for Rafa Benitez’s side.
Hamsik often plays in an advance midfield role, but can also play deeper and off the main striker. That versatility would be welcomed at Old Trafford by United fans.

Martin Freeman's Bilbo Baggins gets the Lego treatment, turn a cupcake into a Hobbit House – and Captain Picard wants snow
This week, the stars turned out in force for the premiere of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. ★★★☆☆ If you're wondering what to buy that special Liverpool fan in your life this Christmas, then Gabe and Benjamin Turner’s Manchester United-centric documentary The Class of '92 (2013) is definitely one to avoid. Focusing on the legendary golden generation and their influence on the Red Devils' 1999 treble-winning season, the Turner brothers tell the tales of six first team graduates of the 1992 Fa Youth Cup-winning side: David Beckham, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs, Phil and Gary Neville, and Paul Scholes. Even the most rudimentary football fan will already be well-versed in the major historical highlights of these young stars.

Scholes the joker, Schmeichel scalding his privates, Beckham just one of the lads … Tom Horan on a film that casts a new light on 90s Manchester and its football heroes
How many documentaries can claim to capture the spirit of an era through the reflections of an ex-prime minister – and the story of a Danish goalkeeper scalding his penis on a giant tea urn? Not many. But it is unquestionably true of The Class of 92, the British film that premiered this week in London.
The Class of 92 is remarkable not just for being an excellent film about football, a subject that rarely translates to the big screen, but for being about so much more. Using interviews and archive footage, it follows six Manchester United players who met in their early teens and together won every honour in club football. But what emerges through the reminiscences of David Beckham,...

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has revealed to Digital Spy that he put on show a guitar he once had graffitied by Man City fan Noel Gallagher.
The former footballer reveals in new documentary The Class of '92 that he sent his instrument to the ex-Oasis guitarist in the hopes of getting it signed, only for Gallagher to return it with a sarcastic message and "McFc" written all over it.
> Paul Scholes, Gary Neville talk 'Class of 92': 'We knew our group were different'
Asked if he still has the guitar, Neville told us: "Yes, at home. I had it up on my wall at one point, in an apartment in Manchester. But then I took it down - I've not got anything on my walls now in terms of memorabilia.
"I was a big Oasis fan, started learning the guitar for a few years and just sent it him one day.

Football is intrinsically cinematic. The elation when the ball hits the back of the net, the despair when it doesn’t. The personalities, the transfer story-lines and the hold it has on so many people’s hearts. Documentary makers Benjamin and Gabe Turner play heavily on this notion, as their latest feature The Class of 92, dramatises and illuminates the sport – as we delve into the group of young boys who followed their childhood dreams and became Manchester United legends. You may be concerned that unless you’re a United fan you’ll feel alienated by this picture, but instead we explore a team camaraderie and get inside the politics of football, allowing enough in here for any fan of football to appreciate and enjoy. Yes Liverpool fans, even you.

As Ryan Giggs turns 40 today, the Manchester United and Wales legend can look back on a career that has been seconded by none.
Since making his debut against Everton on 2 March 1991, the midfielder has played more than 1,000 games and scored over 150 goals in a career that has spanned an unprecedented 23 seasons.
In that time, he has netted more goals for the Red Devils than Mark Hughes, Paul Scholes and Cristiano Ronaldo, and recently became United’s all-time record appearance holder.
An amazing set of statistics for a truly amazing individual, the like of which we will never see again.
What makes Giggs such an inspirational character is that, having been trotting out at Old Trafford for the past 23 years, he is still capable of performing in the big games.
Against Leverkusen in the Champions League midweek, he pulled all the strings from midfield, running over 10,000 meters to truly defy the years,...
