Christina Milian continues her streak of rom-coms at Netflix with the upcoming holiday movie “Meet Me Next Christmas.”
The project marks the actor and musician’s third collaboration with Netflix following her popular destination romances, 2021’s “Resort to Love” — which spent four weeks on the streamer’s global top 10 film list — and 2019’s “Falling Inn Love.”
Milian will executive produce and star in “Meet Me Next Christmas,” playing Layla, who, in pursuit of a fairytale romance with the man of her dreams, must race through New York City to get her hands on the hottest ticket in town: the sold out Pentatonix Christmas Eve Concert.
The film also stars Devale Ellis, Kofi Siriboe and Kalen Allen, alongside the Grammy-winning a capella group Pentatonix.
Directed by Rusty Cundieff, “Meet Me Next Christmas” is written by Molly Haldeman and Camilla Rubis. Mark Roberts is producing the project, while Simon Lythgoe and Matt Code executive produce alongside Milian.

Love at First Song is a music/dating hybrid format that hopes to find its own Beyoncé and Jay Z.
The series, from Korea’s Cj Enm, creates couples through musical performances in which single singers “virtually” rehearse a romantic duet, then reveal themselves and their potential chemistry during a performance. These couples then live together, practice together, perform and compete together, but may swap partners in every episode — for love or music.
First launched in Vietnam via VT3 in 2018 followed by a Malaysian remake now in its third season and a Korean adaptation, Cj Enm has high hopes that the idea of bringing these two genres together can travel.
John Legend was attached to produce a U.S. adaptation in 2019 with American Idol producer Simon Lythgoe set as showrunner, with Critical Content producing.

South Korea media giant Cj Enm has signed on for a local adaptation of “Game of Clones” producer Youngest Media’s NBC-bound entertainment format “Small Fortune.”
A four-part pilot series will premiere on Cj Enm’s tvN channel in February. London-based distributor Drg, which is handling sales for the format, sold the show into the market.
“Small Fortune” has also been optioned by Sony Pictures Television for a pan-regional deal in Latin America, as well as by Nent Group, which has optioned the rights for the Nordic region.
Billed as the world’s smallest physical gameshow, “Small Fortune” sees teams of friends and family members compete in minuscule games set in miniaturized worlds, often replicating well-known landmarks or historical sites, in order to win cash prizes.
“Small Fortune” premiered on U.K. broadcaster ITV last year, where it was commissioned as a 6 x 60’ series and aired in a Saturday primetime slot.

John Legend and “American Idol” producer Simon Lythgoe will produce “Love at First Song,” which combines the two popular mainstays of reality TV: music and dating.
The “All of Me” singer’s Get Lifted Film Co. is partnering with Critical Content and Lythgoe’s Legacy Productions to develop the show’s format for American audiences. The format originated from South Korean entertainment company Cj Enm, who first aired the show in Vietnam in 2018, where it was a huge hit.
