Marvin Achi was set to compete in the 24th season of CBS’ “Big Brother,” premiering Wednesday night, before the network announced late Tuesday that he was being replaced by Joseph, a 24-year-old lawyer from Lake Worth, Florida.

The announcement was made on the official “Big Brother” Twitter account with no reason given as to the last-minute casting swap. Representatives for “Big Brother” did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.

It's been a long time coming, but Big Brother has finally unveiled the cast for its 24th season.

The cast will move into the Palm Springs-inspired "Bb Motel" during the live 90-minute premiere event Wednesday, July 6 on the CBS Television Network.

This season's cast includes an attorney, a Vegas performer, a hypnotherapist, a private chef, a chemical processing engineer, an interior designer, and a personal stylist, among others.

A new twist planned for premiere night will send the Houseguests scrambling, and, beginning on premiere night, the opportunity for America to vote will impact the game.

CBS' summer reality hit will again have three weekly episodes. Beginning Sunday, July 10, the series will air Sundays and Wednesdays and Thursdays, featuring the live eviction show hosted by Julie Chen Moonves.

The latest crop of players will move into the midcentury-inspired “Bb Motel” during the live 90-minute premiere at 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 6. Bb is promising a new twist and the chance for viewers to impact the show on premiere night.

Most of the houseguests are in their twenties, as usual, and the cast ranges in age from 22 to 47, with two people in their forties. That’s slightly older than last year’s crew, which boasted then-40-year-old Tiffany Mitchell as the eldest. Late Tuesday, CBS announced that chemical processing engineer Marvin Achi has been removed from the cast and replaced by lawyer Joseph Abdin.

As previously announced, the houseguests will move into the house on the live 90-minute premiere on Wednesday, July 6. The theme this season is Bb Motel, with the design mimicking a mid-century Palm Springs look.
