Donald Trump Jr. was called out for a video he posted last week encouraging supporters to buy 70 Bibles in an effort to “save America.”
The video, posted to Twitter on Dec. 30, featured the former president’s son talking over swelling, orchestral music.
“Guys, with American Judeo-Christian values under attack, there can be no better time than to re-up our commitment to America and to the Christian values that this country was founded on,” Trump Jr. said. “Go check out the We The People Bible, made in America, printed in America, assembled in America. You’re going to love it, and I think the people in your life probably need it too.”

Fact-based drama Richard Jewell is Clint Eastwood’s next news-story-inspired directorial effort.
Clint Eastwood may be pushing 90 years old (he turned 89 on May 31), but he’s still got plenty of creative fuel in his proverbial tank; a notion supported by his next directorial effort, Richard Jewell (formerly The Ballad of Richard Jewell), which will focus on the security guard wrongfully accused of attempting to bomb a town square near the 1996 Olympic Games.
Indeed, the onscreen legend and Oscar-winning director, Eastwood, occupied the director’s chair for the Disney/Fox fact-based drama. The film, based on an article of the same name from Vanity Fair, had Eastwood working off a script by Billy Ray, who worked on action-horror film Overlord, Tom Hanks-headlined Captain Phillips, film franchise launcher The Hunger Games and served as writer and credited creator of (now-canceled) Amazon series The Last Tycoon.

With all the awards attention that Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty has been getting, it’s rather refreshing to see critics choose different winners for Best Picture. That’s exactly what critics from San Diego and Las Vegas have done, picking Argo and Life of Pi, respectively, as the Best Films of 2012.
Apparently each group Really liked their Best Picture winners. San Diego critics also gave Argo awards for Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Editing. Las Vegas Critics also gave Life of Pi Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects, Best Score, and the Youth in Film award.
Could we be seeing the end of Zero Dark Thirty‘s reign already? After the Screen Actors Guild nominations this morning, I’m having doubts about its Best Picture chances. For 17 years, SAG has been giving out its Best Cast in a Motion Picture award, with only one instance...

Hillary Clinton expected to raise issue of Zorba star's land purchase, which was annulled by Greece, on state visit
Anthony Quinn loved Greece so much that, after filming The Guns of Navarone in Rhodes, he decided to buy an isolated bay on the island to create an international centre for artists and film-makers.
Despite promises from the government that the actor, best known for his role as Zorba the Greek, could have the bay for a symbolic sum in recognition of his role in publicising the beauty of the islands, the purchase was later annulled.
It was a move that 50 years on is still haunting the family of the late film star, who vowed never to visit Rhodes again.
"It was his dream to create an international centre for artists and film-makers on the property," said Stefanos Stratis, his lawyer in Greece. "The case got as far as the supreme court.
