Nicholas Novi was born to a Bohemian family with an enormous love of
art. His father was an artist; his mother was a dramatic actress. At 4
he wrote a fairy-tale and composed his first children's song. At 6 he
started his education and a year later he went to a music school. At
that time he also sang solo in a church choir and got invited to join a
radio children's choir. In 1990 he mastered miniature painting and
interior design.
Having a beautiful timbre, he started to pursue an opera career seriously. He professionally studied vocals with a Bel Canto coach. In 2000 he became admired by Los Angeles listeners in a series of live Radio broadcasts of "Golden Lira" with classical repertoire on KCLA FM. Even the stage of Ivar Theatre in Hollywood stilled before the beauty and charm of his voice. In 2002 he graduated with a MA degree in film directing. His graduation film "Flames of Passion" was acclaimed in Europe and received a diploma of Festival du Cinema de Paris.
