Antonia (Toni) Ellis is a Writer and Producer who worked most recently on
ROYAL PAINS (USA) for the past 7 seasons and travels/lives between LA and NYC.
She worked on the Pilot, HAPPYish (Showtime) and Pilot/1st season of Golden Globes winner,
MOZART IN THE JUNGLE (Amazon). Antonia was a Producer on the
award-winning HBO series, SEX AND THE CITY. In NYC and Baltimore, she also worked with
HBO as the Co-Producer on David Simon's six-hour mini-series, THE CORNER, which
received an Emmy for Best Mini-Series (2000) and a Peabody Award. With music as her
passion, she's worked on 2 series for the BONNAROO MUSIC FESTIVAL (Fuse TV), as well as
music-based CBS-TV series (and VH1), LOVE MONKEY.
Antonia was a Producer on a television sit-com Pilot for DreamWorks/ABC, IMMEDIATE FAMILY while also working at DreamWorks SKG Television as a Production Executive and as the Head of Post Production for the studio's start-up (1995-1998).
Antonia co-created/wrote/produced an independent children's film, THE ADVENTURES OF CINDERELLA'S DAUGHTER. She has written an historical feature film, MY CLARA, about the true story of Clara Wieck and Robert Schumann, a feature-length romantic comedy, TENDER, and is developing a new dramedy series (Untitled).
Antonia began her early career in music videos and stadium rock concert promotion/production and the record industry. Her passion in music led to Radio, where she worked as a DJ/Producer and hosted her own morning show. She transitioned to feature films, working with such companies as the BBC (London), Columbia Pictures, Castle Rock Entertainment, Morgan Creek Productions and Universal Studios.
Antonia has a Masters of Liberal Arts Degree in Literature and Creative Writing from Harvard University and a B.S. in Communications from Miami University (Ohio). She studied abroad in London, England at Ealing College. She likes to mentor students and has taught Film/TV writing classes at Miami University and University of Arizona.
Ms. Ellis is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Producers Guild of America, Screen Actors Guild/AFTRA, and Women in Film. She previously held a position on the Advisory Board for the Caption Center (WGBH). An Ohio native, Ms. Ellis spends her time between Los Angeles and NYC. She has also lived and worked in London, England and Miami, Florida.
As a member of Team in Training, Antonia ran the Los Angeles Marathon 2007 in honor of her aunt. In 2016, she's running again for charity to support P.S. Arts. She is very passionate about encouraging children and helping them build their self-esteem through the arts. Her hobbies include: music, yoga, golf, mountain biking, hiking, skiing, sugar-free baking, and knitting.
