In a shocking abrogation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights — at least as it pertains to film critics — a mere 114 days has elapsed between Barbara Białowas and Tomasz Mandes’ two sequels to their 2020 Netflix-busting softcore phenom, “365 Days.” So just a few scant months after “365 Days: This Day” left us in a swirl of Steadicam and a hail of bullets, here’s “The Next 365 Days,” plunging the series’ fans, and its contractually obliged observers, back into the lightly kink-dusted erotic adventures of Laura (Anna-Maria Sieklucka) and Massimo (Michele Morrone), the streaming era’s favorite oversexed, underclad rape-apologist couple. What a time to be alive.
In truth, the shortness of that window is a blessing, given the third film optimistically expects us to remember what happened in the second — beyond there being an evil twin, a blisteringly attractive gardener called Nacho (Simone Sussina) and a comical climactic...

Sure, the sex scenes in “365 Days: This Day” may be fresh (or not…) but its critics score is rotten to the core.
The problematic sequel to Netflix’s 2020 viral hit officially has followed its predecessor by landing a 0 percent Rotten Tomatoes critics score and a somehow even lower audience score. The original Polish erotic thriller following Sicilian mafia boss Massimo (Michele Morrone) and his kidnapped love interest Laura (Anna-Maria Sieklucka) earned a 29 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes; now, “This Day” has 19 percent, plus an even slimmer IMDb score (2.6/10).

Spring has sprung — and so has the urge to watch erotic thrillers. Thankfully, Netflix just teased the highly anticipated sequel to 2020’s “365 Days,” premiering April 27.
The Polish film, based on author Blanka Lipińska’s sensual novel, busted Netflix records after debuting in 2020. Its follow-up, “365 Days: This Day,” picks up after the cliffhanger ending of the first film, directed by Barbara Bialowas and Tomasz Mandes.
Michele Morrone returns as Massimo, a member of a Sicilian mafia family who kidnaps stranger Laura (Anna-Maria Sieklucka) after obsessing over her for years. Massimo challenges Laura to fall in love with him over the course of a year; otherwise, he will set her free.
Now married, Massimo and Laura are “back and hotter than ever,” according to an official synopsis. “But the reunited couple’s new beginning is complicated by Massimo’s family ties and a mysterious man who enters Laura’s life...

Netflix has revealed several images and a trailer for “365 Days: This Day,” the sequel to “365 Days,” which was a smash hit for the service. The sequel will stream from Apr. 27.
In the first film, the story of Laura and Massimo ended on a cliffhanger. It was in the daily Top 10 list on Netflix in over 90 countries around the world and it was the fourth most searched for film on Google globally in 2020.
However, it was accused of contributing to rape culture, and prompted a letter for its removal from the service. Singer Duffy wrote a letter to Netflix objecting to the film. Netflix declined to remove the film, indicating that it carried a caution for violence, sex and nudity and pointing out that it was an acquisition and not a commission. The film had released theatrically in Poland prior to being acquired.

365 Days probably wasn’t the film Poland was hoping would be its global calling card. Polish film “365 Days,” a 2020 global success for Netflix, is getting two sequels.
The giant streamer has announced the start of production on “365 Days” part 2 and part 3. The original film follows Massimo, a member of the Sicilian Mafia family and Laura, a sales director. She does not expect that on a trip to Sicily trying to save her relationship, Massimo will kidnap her and give her 365 days to fall in love with him.
The sequels see Massimo and Laura return, but their reunion is rendered complicated by Massimo’s family ties and a mysterious man who enters Laura’s life to win her heart and trust, at any cost.
The original film was a Netflix acquisition. Variety understands that Netflix will be more involved in the sequels.
Original cast members Michele Morrone, Anna-Maria Sieklucka, Magdalena Lamparska and Otar Saralidze return for the sequels. Simone Susinna joins the cast, playing a new character,...

As Hollywood gears up to celebrate the best in film at this Sunday’s Oscars, another awards show — The Razzies — is honoring the worst.
Sia’s feature directorial debut, “Music,” which drew backlash for its portrayal of people with autism, was the big winner — or shall we say, loser — of the night. The film, which earned two Golden Globe nominations, picked up the awards for worst actress (Kate Hudson), worst supporting actress (Maddie Ziegler) and worst director (Sia).
Mike Lindell’s election fraud film “Absolute Proof” and Rudy Giuliani’s performance in “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm” followed with two wins each. “Absolute Proof” took home the awards for worst picture and worst actor for Lindell’s appearance in the documentary. Giuliani won worst supporting actor for his featured role in “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm,” and also took home the award for worst screen combo for his apparent handling of his pants zipper...

As is tradition, the Golden Raspberry Awards announced its winners on the eve of the Oscars. The Razzies, now in their 41st year, are a tongue-in-cheek ceremony that “honor” the worst films of the year. Scroll down for the full list of winners (and nominees) in all nine Razzie Awards categories ranging from Worst Picture to Worst Remake, Rip-Off, or Sequel.
Leading the 2021 Razzie Awards winners list is “Music,” Sia‘s ill-conceived film about the relationship between an autistic girl (Maddie Ziegler) and her newly sober half-sister (Kate Hudson). Sia won Worst Director while Ziegler, who is not autistic, and Hudson were singled out for acting dishonors.
“Music,” which was filmed in 2017, had been a surprise contender at the Golden Globes, earning bids for Best Musical/Comedy and for leading lady Hudson. Among those that Ziegler faced off against was Glenn Close for “Hillbilly Elegy,” who is also in contention at Sunday’s Oscars.

Rudy Giuliani wins Worst Supporting Actor for “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm,” Sia’s “Music” snags three awards
Here’s a vote that actually went Mike Lindell’s way — the MyPillow CEO has topped this year’s Razzies by winning Worst Actor and Worst Picture.
Lindell and his voter-fraud-pushing film “Absolute Proof” beat out a field that included “Dolittle” with Robert Downey Jr., “Fantasy Island” and Sia’s “Music” for the title of the worst movie of the year at this year’s Golden Raspberry Awards (aka the Razzies).
Lindell also won the title of Worst Actor for portraying himself in his conspiratorial film that pushed false and debunked claims that the 2020 election was rigged and flipped against Donald Trump. The Razzies voting body in a release called “Absolute Proof” a “faux documentary” and a “two-hour, fake news snooze-fest.”

As we await the Academy Award nominations, the Golden Raspberry Awards have chimed in with their own set of nominees. The Razzies, as they’re known, supposedly celebrate the worst in cinema each year. Of course, they rarely actually cite anything more than the easy targets, so the 41st ceremony is going to be more of the same. Personally, I think things like this are wholly unnecessary, trafficking in negativity and snark. However, people get a kick out of them, so we’re sharing, nonetheless. So, take a look and then basically pay them no mind afterwards… Here are the Razzie nominees: Worst Picture 365 Days Absolute Proof Dolittle Fantasy Island Music Worst Actor Robert Downey Jr. – Dolittle Mike Lindell (The “My Pillow” Guy) – Absolute Proof Michele Morrone – 365 Days Adam Sandler – Hubie Halloween David Spade – The Wrong Missy Worst Actress Anne Hathaway – The Last Thing He Wanted & The Witches...

The Razzie Awards nominations for 2020 are here, recognizing the worst movies in a year that the Razzies acknowledge “sucked big time.” Robert Downey Jr. in “Dolittle” and Mike Lindell (aka the MyPillow guy) both landed Worst Actor nominations.
Downey Jr.’s “Dolittle” led all movies with six nominations, including Worst Picture. Lindell picked up a nod for his election conspiracy film “Absolute Proof,” which Oann aired — but only with a disclaimer that the details in the movie should be taken as opinions, not facts.
“Dolittle” was tied for the most nominations with the mafia film “365 Days,” which was also nominated for Worst Picture, Worst Actor (Michele Morrone) and Worst Actress (Anna-Maria Sieklucka).
Some other low lights of the Razzie nominations include perennial contender Adam Sandler, who was nominated for Worst Actor for “Hubie Halloween” and Worst Screen Combo for himself and “His Grating Simpleton Voice.”

Netflix subscribers don’t quite know what to make of 365 Dni, a Polish drama causing a lot of buzz online for its numerous sex scenes between a crime boss and the woman who he takes hostage, giving her 365 days to fall in love with him.
Also known simply as 365 Days, the pic has been responsible for some considerable controversy lately as, quite frankly, it makes Fifty Shades of Grey look like a PG movie. Yes, the love scenes are that intense and racy and have many wondering just how they filmed them.
Well, speaking to Variety in a recent interview, cinematographer Bartek Cierlica opened up on that very topic. When asked about the Bdsm scene in particular, Cierlica had this to say:
Each sex scene in this movie is different. The relationship evolves. It starts with fear of the unknown and temptation. It evolves through pure sex with Bdsm and ends with love.

If there’s one movie on Netflix that everybody’s streaming, it’s the Polish sex odyssey “365 Days,” which currently sits at No. 1 on the platform’s Top 10 most-watched films in the U.S. What’s being dubbed “the Polish ’50 Shades of Grey'” topped the charts shortly after its June 7 premiere, drawing eyes for its already infamously graphic sex scenes about a mafia man who kidnaps an alluring woman after failing to protect his father from being assassinated. Massimo (Michele Morrone) gives Laura (Anna Maria Sieklucka) exactly 365 days to fall in love with him, or else she’s free to return to her unhappy life in Poland.
Cinematographer Bartek Cierlica recently spoke with Variety about shooting the movie, which is based on a steamy novel by Blanka Lipińska. Wild sexual encounters and nudity abound in this Netflix bodice ripper that’s even inspired TikTok users to take to social...

Scrolling through Netflix’s most-viewed titles, you might have stumbled across “365 Dni” (365 Days) which debuted on June 7. The Polish romp has been stirring up a storm on TikTok and social media from viewers drawing comparisons to “Fifty Shades of Grey” for its erotic Bdsm scenes. One scene lasts close to five minutes.
“365 Days” is based on a novel by Blanka Lipińska (who also directed the film) and is described as a modern-day “Beauty and the Beast” by cinematographer Bartek Cierlica (“Grobari”). Laura (Anna Maria Sieklucka) is an ordinary young woman who gets kidnapped by Massimo (Michele Morrone), a mafia boss obsessed with her. Trapped in his spacious chateau, she has 365 days to fall in love with him.
Though reviews have been mostly scathing, curious Netflix viewers have kept the steamy title ranking high on the site all week.
