John Thomson will front a new stand-up comedy series for Gold.
The Cold Feet actor is bringing his alter ego Bernard Righton to the channel for six-part series Legends of Stand-Up & Bernard Righton.
The series will celebrate some of the world's greatest comedy stars, and will use archive footage to revisit some of their best moments.
Righton will add his own original material in between segments featuring stars like Victoria Wood, Tommy Cooper and Joan Rivers.
Iain Coyle, Commissioning Editor at UKTV, said: "This is the perfect format, the very best of classic stand-up, hosted by one of my favourite ever comedy creations.
"I've genuinely been crying laughing in the meetings for this show - I might have to be restrained when I watch it on the telly."
Thomson has written the series alongside John Quinn, Nigel Alred, Willy Norton and Mike Williams.
