Ghost Hunters is returning for its landmark 15th season this October as the Taps team takes on new challenges, locations, and spirits. Premiering Saturday, October 1 with the episode, “Keeper of the Light,” original Ghost Hunters members Jason Hawes, Steve Gonsalves, and Dave Tango are back, along with Shari DeBenedetti. In the premiere episode, the team reunites with Amy Bruni, Adam Berr, and Kris Williams as they travel to the Flordia panhandle. (Credit: Travel Channel) There, they visit a new exhibition that is stirring up paranormal activity at the Pensacola Lighthouse. The goal? For the worried staff of the lighthouse to confirm that visitors won’t be harmed by the unsettled spirits dwelling there. The new season of Ghost Hunters is upon us, premiering on January 11 on the SyFy network, and we are happy to share a preview of the first episode with you. First though, let’s look back at the origin of this haunting powerhouse of a show…
In 2004, the the now SyFy (then “Sci-Fi”) network premiered Ghost Hunters, a paranormal investigation program unlike anything else on television at the time. Following the spooky exploits of Grant Wilson and Jason Hawes, Roto-Rooter plumbers by day and The Atlantic Paranormal Society (Taps) members by night, Ghost Hunters took audiences into the dark rooms, foreboding basements, and whispering attics we are all curious about, but reluctant to explore. Audiences have latched on to the revolving cast (mostly settled now) of characters who have joined Hawes and Wilson, getting to know the “hunters” through candid conversation and hyjinx over the years.
Several cast members in particular have struck a chord,...

Out of all the back stories of the various places you have investigated, which one of these stories personally resonates with you?
Barry Fitzgerald: I think for me, Brandon, it would have to be Spike Island in Ireland. I am a big history buff in Irish affairs.

HollywoodNews.com: As the newest member of Syfy’s “Ghost Hunters International” team, Kris Williams is among the few paranormal investigators qualified to answer the question of whether stories of hauntings are alike or different in North America and other parts of the world.
She says, “There is a difference in that there is so much history overseas.” With the domestic version of “Ghost Hunters,” “The 1700s seemed old. But, well, for example we walked into a castle in Germany and asked how old it was, and they very matter-of-factly said it was built in 1190. Also, you hear more stories of torture.” Ew.
Amy Bruni and Kris Williams – “Ghost Hunters”
Williams says the team has been exploring stories of hauntings that date back to World War II and World War I as well. Next Wednesday’s (2/2) show has the team “at a fort in Serbia that dates back to the late 1600s,...

When I was growing up in the UK I had a love-hate relationship with Monty Python alumnus Michael Palin. Anyone who has seen his travel shows (Around the World in Eighty Days, Pole to Pole, Full Circle and later series) will know what a great presenter he is. I watched Palin’s adventures avidly when they first aired and was jealous of him for having the good fortune to see so many great places and get paid for doing it.
Twenty years later I have a new target for my jealous streak: Josh Gates. Gates presents Syfy's mystery investigation show Destination Truth. In the series Gates and his team investigate some fascinating and enduring myths and legends that have cultural significance in some pretty cool places across the globe. Gates' team goes to sites on almost every continent and experiences exotic food, good beer and vehicles that are one pothole...

It's Sunday morning, 10am Mountain time. I tried to get some sleep after a fun and exciting night of ghost hunting with the Taps team at The Stanley Hotel!
{sidebar id=1}Jason Hawes, Grant Wilson, Steve Gonsalves, Dave Tango and Kris Williams let us into their world for an evening as we went from room to room at the hotel with various equipment looking for signs of the paranormal.
It was a fantastic night! I had a wonderful time as did the other journalists in my group. We began our night with dinner and conversation about how excited we were about our upcoming time with the Ghost Hunters. A common question, are you a believer or a non-believer? Honestly, I am a non-believer. I've never seen anything that has convinced me to believe that there is some sort of afterlife. Until now!! No, I'm kidding. But we were in for a fun night!
