The start of India off-spinner Jayant Yadav’s County Championship stint with Middlesex has been delayed due to visa issues, said the club on Monday. On September 1, Middlesex had announced that Yadav will be available for the club’s match against Essex at Chelmsford starting from September 4.
But Middlesex on Monday said Yadav has been unable to travel to the UK and join the club at Chelmsford due to a delay in the issuing of his work visa.

Chennai, May 14 (Ians) Chennai Super Kings captain M.S. Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat first against Kolkata Knight Riders in Match No.61 of Indian Premier League (Ipl) 2023 at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday.

New Delhi, Aug 24 (Ians) India batter Shubman Gill, who has been in fine form in the Odi format, is set for his maiden stint in the County Championship after signing with Glamorgan for the remainder of the 2022 season, subject to visa clearance.
If all goes well, Gill will be the seventh India player to be signed by a county team this season, after Cheteshwar Pujara (Sussex), Washington Sundar (Lancashire), Krunal Pandya, Mohammed Siraj (both Warwickshire), Umesh Yadav (Middlesex) and Navdeep Saini (Kent).
