The creature has been revealed from the practical effects-driven sci-fi creature feature They Crawl Beneath, in which a young police officer trapped under a car after an earthquake has unleashed a fearsome monster.
“Young police officer Danny (Joseph Almani) is working on an antique car at his uncle’s remote ranch when a major earthquake hits, pinning him under the vehicle and leaving him bloodied, alone, and with no way to call for help. Just when he thinks the claustrophobic nightmare can’t get any worse, something truly horrifying emerges from the fissures in the ground, forcing Danny to engage in a brutal fight for his life—and his sanity.”
Directed by Dale Fabrigar, it also stars Michael Pare (The Lincoln Lawyer), Joseph Almani (Law of Attraction), Arthur Roberts (Not of This Earth), Christopher M. Dukes (Heaven’s Revenge), Karlee Eldridge (House of Bodies), Elena Sahagun (Tremors 3: Back to...

Reed’s Point reunites several of the people behind 2018’s D-Railed, including director Dale Fabrigar (They Crawl Beneath), and co-writer Suzanne DeLaurentiis (Area 401) who wrote the script along with Sandy Lo and Tricia Aurand (Middleton Christmas). I found it to be a fun mash-up of monsters, ghosts, and a heist gone wrong. So a film from them about The Jersey Devil seemed like it had a chance to be the first film about the creature to actually be good.
It starts with Kelsey (Madison Ekstrand) her boyfriend Alex (Evan Adams; The Wrong Valentine) and cousin Sarah (Sasha Anne) joining Kelsey’s father Greg on a business Rv trip. However, on the way to pick up the client, the driver swerves to avoid a deer and crashes.

Exclusive: Tony Amendola (Stargate Sg-1) will topline Rough Magic: Exit Shakespeare, a new film from veteran TV director Andy Wolk (The Practice) and Silver Spring Road Films that has recently wrapped production.
The film is set in 1611 on a single night where Shakespeare (Amendola) is at a crisis point in his career. It’s about how writers age, their jealousies, resentments, and regrets, why they can’t revisit their old glories, and how their writing can overwhelm their life. Shakespeare has sacrificed much of his family life for his theatrical success and now—haunted with guilt about missing his young son’s death to the plague—he is forced to reflect on the price at which glory comes.
WGA and Humanitas Award winner Wolk directed from a script he wrote with Elliot Krieger, and produced alongside Matt Handy.

*full disclosure: a DVD screener of this film was provided by IFC Midnight. Directors/writers: Dale Fabrigar, Everette Wallin. Cast: Abigail Schrader, Samantha Lester and James Lyons. There should be a law banning first time feature filmmakers from using the found footage style of filmmaking. Otherwise, a film such as Area 407 aka Tape 407 is created. This film is basically eighty plus minutes spent with a fourteen year old girl holding a shaky camera. She and her friends love to scream into the microphone while capturing too many shots of people's legs. Keep the camera higher ladies. There is no music to accompany the film and all of the dialogue was ad-libbed over a five day shooting period. Most films are shot between 15 to 20 days, but not this one. Characters stumble through a weak script and Area 407 gets the much deserved Worst Film of 2012 nomination on 28Dla. And...

Towards the end of last week we revealed the new poster for new found footage creature feature 'Area 407' (previously known as 'Tape 407'). The Dale Fabrigar and Everette Wallin helmed horror flick unleashed a very familiar looking poster which has got to have been heavily influenced by George A Romero's 'Diary of the Dead' one-sheet. Thankfully however this new poster is a tad more original although it does sort of scream 'Jurassic Park III' to me. Abigail Schrader, James Lyons, Melanie Lyons, Samantha Lester, Ken Garcia, Samantha Sloyan, Brendan Patrick Connor, Everette Wallin and Jude Gerard Prest all star. An airplane crashes on a seemingly deserted island filled with danger, intrigue, and mystery. Now there’s an idea that’s never been done before! Below you’ll find two new posters for Dale Fabrigar’s “Area 407″, a film that was once known around these parts as “Tape 407″. The latest trailer for the flick only arrived yesterday (March 20th), so it’s not overly surprisingly that this part of promotional pieces have shown up to help keep the ol’ Internet buzz machine chugging right along. And while I’m always quick to poke fun at the film’s premise, I don’t think it looks all that bad. Honestly! Don’t believe me? Have a look at the trailer for yourself. Another day, another Found Footage horror movie gets snatched up to be released on VOD with a (contractually obligated) limited theatrical run. So what else is new? Todd already posted a previous trailer for the movie (back when it was still called “Tape 407″), and now comes official news that IFC Midnight have snatched up North American rights to Dale Fabrigar and Everette Wallin’s thriller, including the spiffy new name change. I guess given the spacey-monsters-on-the-loose premise, “Area 407″ just sounds more sci-fi-y. (You know, “Area 51″ and such.) Area 407 features lost footage too real for reality and too disturbing for fiction. The film opens with two teenagers flying from New York to Los Angeles on New Years Eve. Their nightmare begins when their plane hits extreme turbulence mid-flight. The relentless weather attack causes panic and terror amongst the passengers until the plane ultimately crashes in a remote government-testing area. The...

IFC Midnight is poised to release Area 407 (formerly known as Tape 407) and we have the exclusive trailer premiere for this found footage thriller opening April 27th in a limited theatrical run and on VOD.
In the film, innocent people with family and friends waiting for them boarded a state of the art jet liner piloted by an experienced crew. They had every reason to believe the pilots could safely navigate a storm and negotiate turbulence without crashing the plane to the Earth from 30,000 feet. They trusted them. They were wrong. The small group that survived, some critically wounded, had every reason to believe that help was on the way. After all, technology was their savior. Again, they were wrong. They were wrong because the very people they trusted to protect and rescue them are the very same people who created the hell in which they now find themselves.

Tape 407, along the lines of The Blair Witch Project, Paranormal Activity, Cloverfield, and Apollo 18 is a horror faux documentary featuring "lost footage" — described in the film's press release as "too real for reality and too disturbing for fiction." Tape 407 opens with a group of people, including one pesky teenager with a camera, flying from New York to Los Angeles on New Year's Eve. Things go wrong when their plane hits extreme turbulence mid-flight, which leads to wild panic among the passengers until the plane crashes in a remote area. The bloody and disoriented survivors then discover they're not alone in the darkness. Unknown predators relentlessly start pursuing them. Unbeknownst to the victims, their planed crashed in a Us government-testing area, and those predators belong to the government's top-secret Mesa Experiment. Tape 407 was directed by Dale Fabrigar and Everette Wallin, from a screenplay by Fabrigar, Wallin, and Robert Shepyer.

So, Film Friday continues with another episode from Soul Fire Rising called "I Give You My Soul," which is so thick with religious themes that one might wonder: is the source Christian influenced? After some investigation this webseries is not Christian sourced, but simply from the twisted writing mind of Kurt Patino (Cup O' Joe). Also, the soul is heavily referenced in the series, and here is that lesson you were hoping to avoid, the soul is an ancient reference to the heart as the seat of human consciousness from Greek philosophy. However, science has refuted this belief and shown that the mind is, of course, the seat of man's consciousness, behaviours and the instigator for emotions. Have a watch as character Lilith demands the soul of others which could be given a way freely as this concept is not based in reality!

The “Evil Samara” from Ring 2, Kelly Stables, has joined the cast of Web series Soul Fire Rising, the story of a journey between Heaven and Hell, where "demons" and "wingers" fight for human souls in the ultimate battle for supremacy.
Stables plays a winger named Eve. Here's the synopsis King Dream Entertainment provided for the show: Lilith, a demon rebel with her own agenda, takes advantage of the vices Earth has to offer, while also taking many souls. The winger Gabriel turns Lilith’s world upside-down when he summons her and makes her an offer she can’t refuse. Lilith has only to fulfill one task: Find Eve and bring her back to Gabriel. The value of Eve’s soul is worth over a million human souls — and Eve is even more vulnerable now that she’s decided to become mortal.
If Eve’s soul is captured, all Hell could break loose.

The Angels Vs. Demons series, now in it's fourth episode, features Kelly Stables (Samara in The Ring Two) as the "Winger Eve."
In between her recurring role on Two And A Half Men and shooting Santa Baby opposite Jenny McCarthy, Kelly Stables found time to co-executive produce and co-star in an original scripted, makeup & visual fx-laden web series that explores Angels & Demons as they battle for human souls.
“I've always found it frighteningly curious, the idea that there is some ‘thing’ surrounding us, beyond what can be seen by the eye or felt with a touch,” Stables said. “With Soul Fire Rising, this haunting, invisible world becomes an action-packed reality where the battle for even just one soul can mean the survival of the human race and...

Frequent collaborators, director Dale Fabrigar (a semi-finalist on Steven Spielberg’s short lived On the Lot reality series) and writer Kurt Patino, have teamed up with actress Kelly Stables (best known for playing Evil Samara in The Ring movies) and visual effects wizard Michael Morrealle to produce a new horror/fantasy web series titled Soul Fire Rising. The show, produced by King Dream Entertainment, follows demon Lilith, played by Aimee Lynn Chadwick (Las Vegas, Trade) – who could be compared to a very hot goth Maggie Gyllenhaal – as she wanders through Los Angeles stealing men’s souls while searching for Eve (to be played by Stables in future episodes), a now mortal demon worth one million human souls. The first two chapters, running about three minutes each, are currently available on the show’s website and MySpace. The website also features cast interviews and photos.
