She completed her Masters degree in mathematics from the Govt. Science College, Nrupatunga University. She was an avid drama and theatre enthusiast from a very young age.
During her college days, she acted in several plays. She broke into the limelight by portraying the character of Nakshatra in the popular tele-serial Lakshana aired on Colors Kannada channel. The serial completed more than 600 episodes to set a new milestone.
