It’s been well over a year since news first broke that Disney was moving forward with “The Princess Diaries 3.” Anne Hathaway can’t reveal any details, but she did assure fans in a recent V magazine interview that development continues on the long-anticipated sequel, and the intention remains to get it off the ground.
“We’re in a good place,” Hathaway said. “That’s all I can say. There’s nothing to announce yet. But we’re in a good place.”
Hathaway would return as down-to-earth royal Mia Thermopolis in “The Princess Diaries 3.” It appears to be the sequel she is most interested in seeing through, as she doesn’t see a feasible way to bring another one of her popular classics, “The Devil Wears Prada,” back to life.
“Probably not,” Hathaway answered when asked about making a “Prada” sequel. “We all love each other and if somebody could...

Dan Stevens is having the time of his life as Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire has become a big hit for Warner Bros and Legendary. "The world ends in 15 days. They have 14 days to finish their movie." Lights, camera – action! Good Deed Ent. has revealed an official trailer for the indie comedy film titled The Last Movie Ever Made, made by Arizona-based filmmaker Nathan Blackwell. It originally premiered at the 2023 Phoenix Film Festival and it also played at the Popcorn Frights Film Festival last year. With the world about to end, Marshall convinces a group of friends and strangers to help finish the sci-fi movie he abandoned in high school. He must quickly rekindle old relationships, forge new ones, and lock down some decent equipment (and some costumes) if he has any hope of completing the long-lost epic. Fun times! Starring Adam Rini, Megan Hughes Rini, Craig Curtis, Dallas Teat, & Logan Blackwell. A nice meta riff on what it's like to be a filmmaker with the constant desire to create something amazing. After "Saturday Night Live" ended season 48 a little prematurely back in the spring due to the Hollywood strikes beginning, the late night sketch comedy show returned for season 49 this weekend. Despite the fact that the Screen Actors Guild is still on strike while negotiating for a new deal with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), SAG-AFTRA gave its full support for the cast of "SNL" to return to work, which meant former cast member Pete Davidson finally got to make his hosting debut.
While it might seem like a quick turnaround for Davidson to return as host so soon after leaving at the end of season 47, plenty of other more recent cast members have come back to the show as host just as quickly, such as Kristen Wiig, Andy Samberg, and Bill Hader. However, since Davidson wasn't exactly known for many recurring characters or impressions, it didn't...

The comedy team known as Please Don't Destroy from recent seasons of "Saturday Night Live" have made quite a splash on the late night sketch comedy show. Acting as what is basically the newest equivalent of The Lonely Island, the trio comprised of Martin Herlihy, John Higgins, and Ben Marshall delivers hilarious pre-recorded sketches, and they're also part of the writing staff. Now, like many "SNL" cohorts before them, Please Don't Destroy is releasing their first movie, and the first trailer has arrived.
Originally intended for theaters, "Please Don't Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain" is coming to Peacock in November instead, probably because the title wouldn't fit on most marquees. But in all seriousness, don't let its streaming destination make you think this movie isn't worth your time. This is the kind of comedy that studios aren't making much anymore, and it likely feels like it's just too much...

The true story of the inseparable Von Erich brothers, who made history in the intensely competitive world of professional wrestling in the early 1980s. Starring Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White, Harris Dickinson, Stanley Simons, Maura Tierney,
with Holt McCallany and Lily James, watch the new trailer.
From University Of North Texas:
The story of the Von Erichs is one of triumph in the ring and also personal tragedy. In April 1984, Sigma Phi Epsilon sponsored a match that was intended to be a homecoming for David after a tour with All Japan Pro Wrestling. Unfortunately, David fell ill during the tour and died on February 10 of acute enteritis. Brothers Kevin and Mike returned to Ntsu in his honor in April to defeat their arch-nemeses the Fabulous Freebirds,...

"The Iron Claw" stars Zac Efron and Jeremy Allen White as two members of one of the most famous (or infamous) wrestling families of all time: the Von Erichs. Led by their fierce father, the Von Erich brothers became mainstays of the professional wrestling world in the heyday of the 1980s, but their professional successes were marred by an enormous number of personal tragedies, leading to rumors that they were somehow cursed. In real life, their stories seem to have more mundane explanations, but whatever the cause, the tragedies were devastating nonetheless.
Content warning: The following contains mentions of drug use, eating disorders, and suicide.
The Von Erich Curse
Because of the high number of shocking tragedies and early deaths that befell the family - and the highly dramatic nature of the professional wrestling world - rumors have abounded that there is a "curse" on the Von Erichs that led to their demise.

In this edition of The Silver Lining, we’ll be covering Neil Marshall’s ill-fated comic-book adaptation, Hellboy.
From Sin City to Umbrella Academy, Dark Horse Comics has always lived up to its name by betting on oddball titles and unusual creators. While there’s no shortage of iconic characters that were first introduced in the pages of Dhc, I’d argue that one of their most recognizable contributions to popular culture would have to be Mike Mignola’s Hellboy. A paranormal investigator that also happens to be a grumpy demon, the horned face of the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense became a respected figure in the world of independent comics.
And with Blade and X-Men kicking off a comic-book movie boom back in the late 90s/early 2000s, it makes sense that Hollywood would eventually bring Hellboy to the big screen with a couple of adaptations helmed by Guillermo Del Toro.

Does your honeybun like it when you call them sugarpie? Nicknames can be annoying, but sometimes they fit and show a couple's strength. Plus, they are adorable.
Much like couples in real life, TV couples often have terms of endearment for one another.
Some started as a cruel joke; others were always meant to be cute.
We've seen tons of honey, sweeties, and sugarplums, but the genuinely unique names are the ones we remember.
Check out our list of 13 adorable nicknames couples have for each other.

From the time "Bardo: False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths" premiered at this year's Venice International Film Festival, it was met with a ton of resistance. /Film's own Marshall Shaffer called the film "an incoherent grab-bag of visual metaphors delivered with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer" in his 3-out-of-10 review. While the critical community has been generally averse to the latest film by two-time Best Director winner Alejandro G. Iñárritu, the film has found many supporters within the filmmaking community. Directors like Lulu Wang and Barry Jenkins have expressed their great admiration for Iñárritu's surreal auto-fiction epic. The latest supporter of the film is one of the director's old pals and a fellow Best Director winner, Guillermo del Toro.

On October 13, 1972, members of the Old Christians Rugby Football Club from Montevideo, Uruguay chartered a flight across the Andes mountains for an exhibition game in Chile. The plane crashed into the high mountain peaks initially killing 16 and leaving 29 stranded in the wreckage. 72 days later, 16 survivors emerged from the mountains, emaciated, injured and nearly snowblind, but grateful to be alive. Their harrowing story of survival was told in Piers Paul Read’s bestselling novel, Alive: The Story of the Andes Survivors.
Frank Marshall’s ambitious adaptation of this story premiered in 1993, shortly after the 20th anniversary of their rescue, reminding the world of this astounding feat of courage and perseverance. “I grew up an athlete and artist at the same time,” she says. “Screenwriting is an exercise in discipline, and dealing with failure. Success in sport and in filmmaking comes if you focus on the craft, not necessarily the outcome.”
In both fields, “Self-analysis is critical to success; it’s molding and crafting. Being a triathlete is a form of meditation: You spend hours on your own. A lot of my creative juices have come from those hours.”

This Thanksgiving, we’re grateful that Happy Endings alum Casey Wilson is bringing @HappyHarmony99 back to Home Economics tonight for the Hayworths’ turkey-day celebration. Revealed in the comedy’s Halloween episode to be both an oddly enthusiastic fan of novelist Tom (Topher Grace) and the siblings’ half-sister, Wilson hints that the return of this “sociopath with a heart of gold” makes for a not-so-harmonious holiday. Especially since it’s the first time she meets her bio dad, Marshall, and the wife he cheated on, Muriel (Nora Dunn). At first, the Hayworth siblings are concerned that Harmony won’t fit in at the dinner table. But then, “they come to realize that [she’s] a bit like each of them,” Wilson says. In addition, Marshall and Muriel appear to be infatuated with her! Might we see Harmony again? “I hope so,” Wilson says. “She could be back for Christmas!” Here, ...

We've only had him for two installments, and I already want Betz to go away.
The man is awful! It takes a petty, vengeful, vindictive person to have a man served with court papers in the middle of a ceremony honoring him, but that was The Resident Season 6 Episode 8's opener, thanks to Betz.
On the plus, we saw Conrad drop everything and make a beeline for that stage, ready to tackle the guy in case he meant to cause Bell harm, and we always win with heroic Conrad.
It's ridiculous that a man running for governor has all the time in the world to fixate on Bell and destroy him because Bell embarrassed him publicly.
If this is what Betz is doing now, can you imagine how terrible things will be when he's in office? And it's such a waste of resources and time to sicc his attack dog lawyer,...

Pack your bags because we're returning to Genovia! The Hollywood Reporter exclusively revealed that a third movie in the "Princess Diaries" film series is currently in the works. While the story and cast have not been confirmed, the script is currently being written by Aadrita Mukerji, who has written for television shows such as "Supergirl" and "Reacher." This new installment is also expected to be produced by Debra Martin Chase, who produced the first two movies.
As previously stated, the cast for this new "Princess Diaries" film has not been announced, which means that Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews haven't been confirmed as of yet. However, sources close to the project told THR that Disney hopes to have at least Hathaway on board to reprise her role as Crown Princess Mia Thermopolis. This isn't entirely out of the question, as the actress was previously in talks with director Garry Marshall for a franchise return.

Long live Queen Mia Thermopolis! THR has reported that Disney has tapped Aadrita Mukerji (Supergirl) to pen the script for The Princess Diaries 3. It’s been nearly two decades since the last installment of the Anne Hathaway-led franchise, but sources tell THR that this will be a continuation rather than a reboot.
Based on the novel by Meg Cabot, The Princess Diaries starred Anne Hathaway as Mia Thermopolis, an American teenager who discovers that she’s the heir to the throne of the kingdom of Genovia. Also starring Julie Andrews as Mia’s grandmother and Queen regent of Genovia, the film was an unexpected success and was followed by Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement three years later. It’s not yet known if Anne Hathaway will return for The Princess Diaries 3, but we may not know anything either way until she takes a look at the script.

The Princess of Genovia is back!
An individual with knowledge of the project told IndieWire that a third “Princess Diaries” film is currently in early development. The script is being penned by Aadrita Mukerji (“Supergirl”), as The Hollywood Reporter first noted. The third film will serve as a continuation of the original film series as a sequel to the 2001 and 2004 movies starring Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews.
No casting announcements have been made. Sources would not confirm whether Anne Hathaway will reprise her role, yet the “Princess Diaries” breakout star previously voiced her support for a proposed third film.
“I would more than entertain it, I’m pulling for it,” Hathaway told Entertainment Tonight in October 2022. “If there’s any way to get Julie Andrews involved, I think we would make it work. We would go to where she was and put a green screen behind her and just make it happen.

Disney is returning to Genovia for a third “Princess Diaries” movie.
It’s not clear whether Anne Hathaway will reprise her role as the down-to-earth royal Mia Thermopolis in the new installment, which is being written by Aadrita Mukerji. However, Hathaway recently expressed her interest in returning — with her on-screen grandmother Julie Andrews, who played the posh Queen Clarisse Renaldi — to the franchise that turned her into a star.
“I would more than entertain it, I’m pulling for it,” Hathaway told Entertainment Tonight. “If there’s any way to get Julie Andrews involved, I think we would make it work.”
Andrews’ involvement in “The Princess Diaries 3” is similarly ambiguous. Plot details haven’t been confirmed, but the threequel is expected to continue the story in “The Princess Diaries” and the sequel “Royal Engagement” rather than rebooting the series.

Morocco has been attracting a rising number of high-profile foreign shoots since March 2022, lured by the country’s locations, skilled crews, competitive rates and its revamped cash rebate scheme, which has been hiked from 20 to 30 of eligible spend.
Of crucial importance the ceiling on the rebate available for each film has now been scrapped – offering a major boost to lengthy, large-scale productions.
Previously the maximum rebate per film was capped at 1.8 million. The total amount available per year for all projects is 10 million, granted on a first-come/first-served basis.
Other benefits available to foreign shoots include exemption from sales tax and zero fringe payments for crews.
To qualify for the rebate, productions must have a minimum Moroccan production spend of 1 million, an 18-day Moroccan shoot, at least a 25 local crew, and a local line producer.
Morocco’s previous 20 scheme was introduced in 2016 and fueled a progressive rise in foreign production visits,...

[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “Atlanta” Season 4, Episode 10, “It Was All a Dream” — the series finale.]
Every season* of “Atlanta” starts, in one way or another, with Earn waking up. The premiere, following a flash-forward, sees Donald Glover’s lead recalling a dream next to a groggy Van (Zazie Beetz). In Season 2, subtitled “Robbin’ Season,” Earn is rudely roused by his storage unit’s owner, who evicts him from his makeshift home (while stealing some of his stuff). Even Season 3’s first entry, which dedicates 99 percent of its runtime to a story inspired by the Hart family murders, ends on a close-up of Earn’s rattled face, as he looks around his hotel room in that initial waking state of anxious confusion.
*Every season, that is, except Season 4.
The fourth and final season of “Atlanta” notably begins with Darius (Lakeith Stanfield) returning an air fryer to Target amid absolute chaos. The store is being looted.

Until I watched all six episodes of Amazon Prime Video’s overstuffed limited series “The English,” I believed I’d follow Emily Blunt just about anywhere. As it turns out, maybe not to the American West circa 1890. In writer/director Hugo Blick’s uneven revisionist Western, she plays Lady Cornelia Locke. The tragic British aristocrat travels across the pond hell-bent on revenge following her child’s untimely death under mysterious circumstances, largely explained in an insufferable voiceover.
Once on the plains, the handsome horsewoman and amateur archer becomes a target for almost any bounder she meets. Her bagful of cash that keeps falling open makes her no less conspicuous. On her travels, she encounters, and sets free, another searcher: Ex-Cavalry Scout Eli Whipp. Played by a terrific Chaske Spencer (“Twilight” actor Sam Uley), he’s a Pawnee who’s lived straddling two worlds and now hopes to return to his native Nebraska,...

What right does the BBC have, making a lavish six-part western? The BBC – which is all about stuffy, bonneted period dramas and documentaries where a nonagenarian cavorts with chimpanzees – tackling the quintessence of American culture? And, to add to the impertinence, calling it The English? Well, that’s the situation we arrive at with Hugo Blick’s BBC Two drama (co-produced with Amazon), which arrives on our screen with a thunder of hooves.
Emily Blunt is Cornelia Locke, an Englishwoman whose father owns “half of Devon”. She’s journeying through the heart of America on an unarticulated voyage of revenge. It’s there that she encounters Eli Whipp (Chaske Spencer), trussed up and beaten to a pulp. A Pawnee-born ex-us army officer, Whipp wants to claim a slide of American land, as is his veteran’s right. “Smoke dreams for the fireside,” dismisses a fellow soldier. Fate throws Eli and Cornelia together,...

The tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman, a generational talent hitting just the prime of what should have been a decades-long, award-filled acting career, in the summer of 2020 came as a devastating blow to many, especially during a year filled with so much loss and grief due to the then ongoing global pandemic. In a far too short, brilliant career, Boseman specialized in multi-layered depictions of mythic or near-mythic Americans, from Jackie Robinson (42), the first Black man to play in the major leaguers, to James Brown (Get On Up), the funk pioneer and singer-performer, to Thurgood Marshall (Marshall), the ground-breaking NAACP attorney and future Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. Each major role demanded a different skill set, some more physical than others,...
