Princess Diana was the royal family’s most popular member, a spokeswoman for important issues, and a devoted mother to Prince William and Prince Harry. However, she had one ultimate dream that her daughter-in-law, Kate Middleton, has since realized.
Princess Diana’s ultimate dream went unmet
The Mirror quotes formal royal butler Paul Burrell, who worked for Princess Diana for 10 years. Burrell was quoted in the 2017 Amazon documentary The Diana Story, that one of her ultimate dreams went unrealized.
Burrell explained of Diana’s crushing reality, “To have a baby girl in the family would have made everything for Diana.” His statement piggybacks on Diana’s remarks to author Andrew Morton in the book Diana: Her True Story.
Diana told Morton that she knew her second child, Prince Harry, would be a boy before giving birth. However, she didn’t tell Prince Charles since he had always hoped for a daughter.

More than three decades after they first met, King Charles and Queen Camilla (formerly Camilla Parker Bowles) tied the knot.
On April 9, 2005, the pair said “I do” at Windsor Guildhall. Because it was the second marriage for both parties, they had a civil ceremony which was followed by a service of prayer and dedication. Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Philip, were only at the religious blessing. The latter ceremony was attended by 800 guests. Crowds lined the streets near the chapel to see the pair after the blessing. The celebration then moved to Windsor Castle where Queen Elizabeth hosted a reception.
Some have wondered what Charles and Camilla do on their wedding anniversary each year. Do they mark the occasion with some special plans? Do they give each other fancy gifts? Or is it just another day full of public engagements and royal duties for them? Well now someone...

For anyone who absolutely cannot stand one part of their job that has to be done from time to time, Prince William knows exactly how you feel.
The Prince of Wales has been prepped for the top job he will have one day and everything that comes with that role all of his adult life. While he has wealth and a privileged lifestyle as Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle insisted many times before, there are also plenty of drawbacks to being a working royal.
Prince William is not the type to air out his grievances so publicly but there are things about the job that he doesn’t like and that’s why someone who used to work for the family is convinced William will be a very different monarch than his father, his grandmother, and all those before him.

It’s no secret that members of the royal family live a very privileged lifestyle. They have cooks, drivers, assistants, and housekeepers at their disposal and some of those staffers have gotten pretty weird requests from their bosses in the past.
Now, a former royal butler is revealing something Prince Harry asked him for once that he found to be particularly odd because the prince never asked for that before and was never seen doing anything like that previously.

Sundays during his boarding school years meant lunches with Queen Elizabeth II for Prince William. According to a former royal staffer, the late queen always said the same thing before the now-Prince of Wales came over for tea. Ahead, what Queen Elizabeth requested. Plus, who came up with the idea for the lunches. Hint: It wasn’t William or his grandmother.

Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, stunned millions of people around the world when they chose to step down from their royal roles in 2020. Even more surprising was that following their exit, they did a series of interviews and tell-alls airing out the royals’ dirty laundry and claiming they were unfairly treated when they were working members of the family.
By the Sussexes’ account, a feud had been brewing between Prince William and Prince Harry for some time which is also something much of the public hadn’t been aware of. That’s because from the outside the brothers were always thought to be the best of friends and going all the way back to the days when their mother was still alive, they appeared so happy together.

It’s been a tough few months for Britain’s royal family. First, there was the announcement that the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) needed a lengthy recovery time and canceled her royal duties through March. Then, the Palace announced that King Charles had been diagnosed with a “form of cancer.”
This has really tested the family’s new slimmed-down monarchy. And now while Prince William‘s diary is packed with engagements, he must block out the noise of wild conspiracy theories about his wife’s health, speculation about what type of cancer his father has, a photo editing mishap that turned into an international story, and Prince Harry reportedly trying to get back into the royal fold.

Shortly after 2023 began, some surprising announcements were made regarding the health of two key members of the royal family.
On Jan. 17, it was announced that the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) had abdominal surgery that required a hospital stay and a lengthy recovery. Hours later, came an announcement that King Charles III was having a procedure for an enlarged prostate. Ten days after the monarch’s routine procedure, Buckingham Palace revealed that tests concluded that the king had “a form of cancer.”
Now Prince William, along with the remaining working royals, will be ramping up their engagements in the absence of the princess and the king. Here’s what a psychic said the Prince of Wales is going to continue to struggle with in his everyday life while Kate will remain “unflappable.”

Prince Harry has not been on great terms with the royal family since even before he and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped back from their roles as senior royals. Harry has done countless interviews, a documentary, and has even published a memoir since moving to California with Meghan back in 2020, but in all of his language, there have been a few subtle shots at his brother Prince William’s wife, Kate Middleton.
While Harry does not directly speak negatively about his sister in law, some of the comments he’s made have been interpreted as to be about her. But now, former royal butler Paul Burrell says Harry might eventually “regret” the things he’s said about the princess.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle didn’t close out 2023 on a high note but vowed that 2024 would be their “redemption year” as they focus on new ventures. They also said that their new projects won’t involve talking about the royal family anymore. However, the rumors that Meghan wants to write her own memoir have gained traction since the release of the duke’s memoir Spare and the fact that they signed a multi-book deal with the publisher Penguin Random House.
Now though, reports are swirling that Harry “scrapped” the idea of his wife penning her memoir as he doesn’t think it’s something that should be on their agenda going forward. But someone who used to work for the royals and knows the prince doesn’t buy that and believes Meghan will write her book to ensure that her side of the story is out there for people to consume.

Some royal watchers pitted Meghan Markle and the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) against each other the moment Meghan married Prince Harry. After the duke and duchess stepped down as working royals, there was a chance to calm all that chatter. But then Meghan spoke about Kate in the first few minutes of her televised interview with Oprah Winfrey by discussing their bridesmaid dress drama. Meghan also appeared to take a shot at her sister-in-law during the Sussexes’ Netflix docuseries when she claimed Kate wasn’t a “hugger.”

Royal reporter Omid Scobie‘s recently published book Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival revealed the British monarch King Charles III‘s “extravagant” daily demands and idiosyncrasies.
Scobie writes that Charles, 75, has specific and seemingly “ridiculous” requirements for the Buckingham Palace staff. For instance, he insists that his soft-boiled eggs be cooked for precisely four minutes—no more, no less—otherwise, they will be returned to the kitchen in a fit of childish anger.
Charles also expects his travel accommodations to meet high standards and demands “perfectly steamed” bedsheets made from 1,000-thread-count fabric. Additionally, he reportedly throws “temper tantrums” if his pajamas are not meticulously pressed.
Despite his reported net worth of over $2 billion, Charles displays uncharacteristic frugality. He refuses to discard his old shoes and instead enlists a cobbler to continually revive them when they begin to deteriorate. The meticulousness with which Charles...

Over the years many fans have compared Prince William‘s wife the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) to his late mother Princess Diana. Kate is of course aware of those comparisons and was asked about the pressures of trying to live up to Diana during her first joint interview with William after they announced their engagement. Kate answered journalist Tom Bradby’s question about following in Diana’s footsteps admitting that she did feel intimidated by that.
Now the late princess’s former aide is claiming that Kate “won’t ever be Diana” but “she doesn’t want to be.”

The rift between Prince Harry and his brother, Prince William, had been going on even before the Duke of Sussex and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down from their roles within the royal family. But after the Sussexes bolted, things got much worse.
William and his sibling played it cordial during Meghan and Harry’s final engagement in 2020 and exchanged pleasantries before the church service. However, once the duke and duchess moved 5,000 miles away they decided to air out the family’s dirty laundry in interviews, magazines, podcasts, a Netflix docuseries, Harry’s memoir Spare, and to anyone who felt like listening. Now, many royal watchers think the damage to William and Harry’s relationship can never be undone and there’s “nothing between them anymore.”

It’s the arc that “The Crown” fans have waited for and dreaded: Princess Diana dies in Episode 3 of the Netflix series’ sixth and final season (returning as a spirit for the fourth and final episode of Part 1). While the fourth episode focuses on the aftermath of her death, the first three zero in on their relationship in the weeks leading up to their car crash in the Paris tunnel.
As usual with Peter Morgan’s fact-based drama, some truly wild stuff happens — and some of it is even true! But “The Crown” has always been slightly more interested in emotional truth than in a strict historical record, which means the line between fact and fiction tends to blur. And while many viewers have vivid memories of Diana’s death and the events in its wake, decades of documentaries, biopics, books, and conspiracy theories have made what led up to it hazy.

Ever since he took over as the monarch when Queen Elizabeth II died, many royal watchers have given an opinion of how long King Charles III’s reign will last. That’s because at an age when most people have already retired Charles got the biggest and most important job of his life. It’s also a job his mother held for more than 70 years. Although King Charles’ reign won’t be that long, can he still create a legacy like his mother’s?
According to a former palace aide, the answer is no as Charles’ reign is only serving one purpose now.

King Charles always knew that he was bound to take the throne. However, what he might not have realized from a young age was just how old he would be when he finally got there. His mother, Queen Elizabeth II, ruled for 70 years, and Charles was 73 when he took the throne. But in the meantime, so much of the monarchy has focused on Charles’ older son, Prince William, who is next in line for the throne. And one royal expert says that the attention on William has impacted how Charles plans to rule.

Despite how ugly things have gotten between the Sussexes and the royal family, some believe King Charles III is taking the high road and that is the correct action when it comes to dealing with his youngest son and daughter-in-law. However, there are also some who think the new monarch should come down harder on the duke and duchess and has made a “mistake” by not doing so.

King Charles has been the king for just over a year since Queen Elizabeth II’s death, but those who have paid close attention to his ruling have likely noticed that he hasn’t exactly done a whole lot. Charles seems to be taking a little more of a low-key role as king, and while he still makes public appearances, it’s clear that he isn’t the star of the royal family. However, this isn’t laziness; it appears that it’s a calculated situation in order to better set the stage for the next king: Prince William.
