Ashley Marie Talarico
- Actress
As an aspiring Actress and Singer/Songwriter, Ashley Talarico is
determined to make herself known. Brought up in an Italian family just
outside of Philadelphia, her childhood consisted of many social
gatherings and family events. Finding it hard to fit in with any
particular crowd, Ashley surrounded herself with a diverse range of
friends, which was later reflected in her varied taste in music and
movies. Although an ever lingering stage fright hindered her from
participating in Choir or School Plays, Ashley longed to someday be in
the spotlight. Her first step into the acting world was in the short
film "Altarboy". At the age of 12 she found it exhilarating to be on
set. In her second role as Jennifer in the feature film "The Shore",
Ashley had the opportunity to work with a range of well known and
sought out actors such as Isabella Miko, Leslie Ann Warren and Ben
Gazzara. This experience further developed her passion for acting.
Though she majored in Business Management, Ashley found herself
spending much of her free time singing and writing for pleasure. From
short stories and screen plays to poems and song lyrics, this young
mind has utilized her personal experiences and perspective on life to
fuel her artistic abilities. She attributes her vocal talents to her
Grandfather, who sang Italian Opera on the radio in the late 1960's
through the early 1970's. Ashley has also taken to acoustic guitar with
inspiration from artists such as Liz Phair, Colbie Caillat and Taylor
Swift.
