Blanche Blackwell was born on 9 December 1912 in San José, Costa Rica. She was married to Middleton Joseph Blackwell. She died on 8 August 2017 in London, England, UK.
She is best known as the mistress and muse of Ian Fleming, the creator of James Bond. Noël Coward was one of her closest friends; a character in his 1956 play "Volcano" was based on her.
