Comedian Yuriyan Retriever, who once appeared as a contestant on America’s Got Talent, has landed a lead role in the upcoming Netflix Japan series The Queen of Villains. According to Deadline, Retriever will play Dump Matsumoto, a professional wrestler who rose to prominence as one of the leading female wrestlers in All Japan Women’s Pro-Wrestling during the 1980s. Matsumoto’s immense popularity led to a boom in women’s wrestling at a time when the sport was male-dominated. The series will depict Matsumoto’s friendships and fights with companions and foes, tracing her journey as she tries to succeed as a heroic pro wrestler who was nearly fired before becoming the most famous Japanese female wrestler of all time. Matsumoto was the leader of the faction Gokuaku Domei — which included other beloved women wrestlers, Crane Yu, Condor Saito, and Bull Nakano. Last year, Retriever won the R-1 Grand Prix...

Women’s wrestling sure has changed over the years, and in the time we’ve been watching these superstars on our screens, we’ve seen some incredible athletes, characters and workers, but we’ve also seen some who couldn’t do things in the ring very well. This is the case in all areas of pro-wrestling, but with this we’re going to look at the five best and five worst WWE Women’s Champions of all time. Now, this isn’t a personal attack on any of the women who fall into the “worst” category, because I think it’s important to point out that all wrestlers bust their butts in some manner or another. I respect that, but I’m looking at the in-ring careers of these talents, from wrestling skills to promo-work. That’s pretty much it. This will include WWF, WWE and Nxt Women’s Champions,...

The WWE main roster is always changing, some wrestlers leave for whatever reason happens to cause their departure, some wrestlers move up the card because management wants to give them a push and some wrestlers move downwards, or stay still, sometimes merely because the creative team has a lack of ideas for their television character.
The last twelve months have been memorable and a lot has happened to the main WWE roster since June of 2013. So, let’s take a look at the main superstars who are on the main stage of WWE, rate them, and look at how their future in WWE looks at this moment.
The grading system is as follows:
A+ – Is/Should be one of the main faces of WWE. A true star.
A – Should be/Is in the main event scene and has the talent to stay there.
B – Should be being pushed as a future top contender.

Cm Punk and Beth Phoenix have both reported on Twitter that former WWF Woman’s Champion Bull Nakano appeared backstage at a Raw house show in Japan today. Born in the country, Nakano who turns 44 in January, first appeared in the WWF in 1994, first as an associate of Luna Vachon before defeating Alundra Blayze for the title at an event in Tokoyo after losing her first shot at SummerSlam 1994.
Bull held the title for five months until losing it back to Blayze at a Raw event on April 3rd, 1995. She was fired that year after being found in possession of cocaine. She soon joined WCW and again found herself in a feud with Blayze, now known as Medusa, and they fought at WCW Hog Wild 1996. She retired from wrestling a year later to take up golf professionally but has had a few wrestling matches since.
There have been rumours that...
