Actor Vineet Kumar Singh, best known for his roles in movies such as ‘Pittah’, ‘City of Gold’ and the ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, spoke on his role for his 2022 crime thriller movie ‘Siya’. Speaking on the takeaways from the film, which caused a change in his perspective, he said: “During my shooting for Siya, I have realised that following a rape, the procedure that is involved in the investigation or the reporting of the crime must be dealt very sensitively and delicately.”
“Because the victim and her family have already been through unfathomable trauma and soul-breaking pain. Also, the society, at large, should encourage the victim to fight for justice instead of looking down with pity or stigmatising the victim. These have been two very important lessons for me.”

Actor Pankaj Tripathi has talked about the challenges he faced while playing the role of Sultan in the film ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’.
He said: “Sultan Qureshi was a very challenging role to play as I am a pure vegetarian, and the shoot took place at a real location in Allahabad. The smell was unbearable and it was one of the most difficult experience for me. Anurag (Kashyap) used to sit outside with the monitor while we were inside struggling. When the people over there found out about the shoot, they started overacting as they were a part of the frame.”
The ‘Mirzapur’ actor recalled about the time he got emotional after receiving a call from Anurag Kashyap post the release of the film.
Pankaj shared: “On the day of the film release that is almost 1 and a half years after we completed the shoot, I got a call from Anurag.

The makers of cinematic gems like ‘Masaan’ and ‘Newton’ are out with another important work of storytelling, Siya. Produced by Drishyam Films, the film takes audiences through a tale of a small-town girl who despite all hurdles, decides to take down oppressive patriarchy and fight for justice.
Siya marks producer Manish Mundra’s directorial debut and the hard-hitting film starring Pooja Pandey and Vineet Kumar Singh is based out one of the northern states in India, much like most of Drishyam’s films, it speaks to a global audience.
While the teaser of Siya had created much intrigue with audiences, the trailer is gripping from start to finish as we can’t help but relate and empathize with the protagonist’s plight. Raw and as real as it gets, Siya is an uncompromising look at the harsh reality women around the world continue to face.

Mumbai, Jan 15 (Ians) Actor Vineet Kumar Singh says he learnt pottery for his upcoming film Aadhaar, adding that he has now become a pro at the art of making pots.
"I spent a lot of time learning the art of pottery. It started six months before the shoot when I visited the same village in Deoghar, Jharkhand, with my director Suman Ghosh," Vineet said.
"We shot a few things at the potter's house, who taught me the art. He told me that to make pots, you will have to rotate the wheel yourself and there is no other way to do it. I did that the first time and realised that it is not an easy thing to do. So I kept learning," he added.
Vineet added: "Because I have scenes in the film while doing pottery. So I tried my best to learn the basics of this beautiful craft.

Gold
Starring Akshay Kumar, Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Mouni Roy, Vineet Kumar Singh
Directed by Reema Kagti
There is something to be said about motivational sports films. They make you stand and cheer even when you know the predictable path invariably taken by the genre.
Gold starts off rather roughly, unsure of who the hero of this game-plan is. It is certainly not the boozing Bengali Tapan Das, played in broad strokes bordering on Bong caricature, by Akshay Kumar. So is it Imitiaz Shah, chosen as the first captain of the Indian cricket team? Imtiaz, played with a very peculiar accent by Vineet Kumar Singh, soon crosses the border to Pakistan but is there to cheer for the Indian hockey team in the grand finale in England.
No. Imtiaz isn’t the hero. So it is the royal arrogant hockey champ Raghubir Pratap Singh, a man of stange aristocratic contradictions...
