Noah Centineo’s latest Netflix series, The Recruit, has viewers completely stunned.
The comedy-drama stars Centineo as Owen, a rookie CIA lawyer, who becomes dangerously entangled in a game of international politics.
After the recent release of its eight-episode debut season on 16 December, viewers are already begging for a second season, given the finale’s “brutal” cliffhanger.
“Everyone needs to watch The Recruit on Netflix craziest ending ever,” one Tweeted, with a second adding that it left them with “no words”.
“Holy f***, the ending of The Recruit Holy F*** F***... I need season two now!” a third wrote.
A fourth found the ending “brutal”, and it left another “shocked”.
Warning, major spoilers to follow!
The episodes preceding the finale show Owen’s first two weeks on the job thrown into chaos after he discovers a letter from former CIA asset Max (Laura Haddock), threatening to expose the agency if they don’t exonerate her.

Indian comedian, actor, and musician Vir Das’ hour-long standup special “Landing” will bow worldwide on Netflix on Dec. 26. The backdrop is the aftermath of a seven-minute monologue, a satire about the duality of India, he recited after a standup show at The Kennedy Center in Washington DC in 2021 that went viral internationally. After the show, Das boarded a plane back to his home in Mumbai and by the time he disembarked, his entire world had changed, with the monologue attracting reactions across the spectrum.
“Landing” is Das’ fourth special with the streamer, with his most recent one, “Vir Das: For India,” receiving a 2021 International Emmy nomination for Best Comedy. He is currently developing his own single-camera comedy with Fox, CBS Studios and Andy Samberg’s production company Party Over Here. He also starred in the ABC spy drama-comedy “Whiskey Cavalier.” “Landing” is produced by Rotten Science and executive producers Reg Tigerman and Matthew Vaughan.

British broadcaster Channel 4 is to launch AwesomenessTV’s supernatural thriller Light As a Feather on its digital service.
The network will launch the ten-part series, which was originally available via Hulu, on All4 on April 1. This comes days after Viacom closed a deal to sell a raft of Awesomeness content globally after the U.S. media giant acquired the youth-skewing brand last year.
Light as a Feather centers on four best friends who invite the shy new girl out on Halloween, but they soon regret their decision when she suggests they play a seemingly innocent game of ‘Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board’. The game goes awry when the five girls start dying off in the exact way that was predicted, forcing the survivors to figure out why they’ve been targeted – and whether the evil force hunting them down is one of their own.

Rona Munro returns to Doctor Who writing, with The Eaters Of Light. Here's our spoiler-free review...
10.10 The Eaters Of Light
The very welcome return of writer Rona Munro to Doctor Who – it’s being a long time since her inadvertent classic era finale, Survival – has brought with it a quieter episode of the show than I was expecting. It was only as the credits rolled at the end, too, that it really struck me it was probably the last standalone Peter Capaldi adventure we get where he doesn’t regenerate at the end, and it seems fitting therefore that it takes place in Scotland. And includes good quality Scottish gags into the bargain.
Munro sets her story in 2 Ad, with the Doctor, Bill and Nardole on the trail of a missing ninth legion of the Roman army. Bill has read up on why they’ve disappeared, the Doctor has his own theories,...

10.5 Oxygen
“Space. The Final Frontier. Final, because it wants to kill us”
It started with a Star Trek line. It ended with a hell of a cliffhanger. It left us hoping that Chris Chibnall has already signed up writer Jamie Mathieson – returning to Doctor Who writing following the likes of Flatline and Mummy On The Orient Express - for series 11. It would be fair to say that Oxygen was something of a triumph.
And I’m going to start at the end.

Google’s top searches from the year are out and when it comes to food, the world wanted comfort, comfort and more comfort.
The most requested recipe of 2016 was green bean casserole followed by Brussels sprouts, hashbrown casserole, guacamole and chicken marsala. A few sweets also made the list with hungry people searching for buttercream frosting and snow cream (ice cream made from snow, apparently).
A stressful year clearly meant the world was stress-eating which of course eventually leads to dieting. The Golo Diet — which claims to optimize the body’s insulin levels — topped the list. But a diet claiming...

Scott Disick is still keeping busy with his club appearances, about seven weeks after he and Kourtney Kardashian broke up. The 32-year-old made a scheduled appearance at at party at the Lex nightclub in Reno, Nevada on Friday night. He started off the evening by dining with four friends at the Charlie Palmer Steak steakhouse inside the hotel. Dressed in a black and white plaid shirt, opened in the front to his lower chest, he and his pals arrived at the club around midnight and spent their time inside one of the elevated luxury VIP booths, surrounded by more than 1,000 party-goers, E! News has learned. He took photos with several fans. Before the party, Scott shared on his Instagram page a photo of...

When Ninth Doctor Christopher Eccelston left Doctor Who after only one season, he left behind a set of episodes that were a great reintroduction to the classic series but more than anything, they were a springboard for whoever was going to take over the iconic role next. David Tennant’s Tenth remains one of the most memorable and beloved Doctors in the show’s long history. Bolstered by a robust and often deeply moving performance by Tennant, this five year run produced some of the finest Doctor Who stories in the show’s 50 year run. Here are Ten’s ten best stories:
10. “Blink”
Written by Steven Moffat
Directed by Hettie MacDonald
Aired June 9th 2007
“Blink” introduces the Weeping Angels, one of the most terrifying villains in the Doctor Who universe. Breaking the show’s usual format, this story barely features the Doctor and his Companion at the time, Martha (Freema Agyeman...

Axl Rose might not like the fact that Guitar Hero III featured his former Guns N' Roses band-mate Slash on the front cover, but he might have objected too late. At a summary judgment hearing Thursday, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Charles Palmer reportedly indicated that he is inclined to dismiss Rose's $20 million lawsuit against Activision Blizzard for fraudulently inducing him into authorizing "Welcome to the Jungle" for use in the popular video game. At the conclusion of the hearing, according to an attorney involved in the case, the judge took the matter under submission. Concert Review: Axl Rose Brings

Way back in the Wilderness Years of Doctor Who, fans could find some sort of consolation with a range of books called The New Adventures. The range continued the adventures of Sylvester's Doctor, except that they were now more suited to frustrated spotty 6th form students rather than kids who would probably frown in puzzlement at tales that purported to be deeper and broader than what they were used to on TV.
In other words, there was a higher quota of sex and violence. Whether or not Mary Whitehouse chanced upon a copy of one of these books in her last few years of blue rinse, self-righteous moral cleansing remains an unanswered question – I don't think she would have regarded the series as wholesome Sunday Afternoon escapism somehow.
Anyway, there's probably about a thousand and one differences between the book and the TV adaptation, so much so that I'd probably...

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Or shall I compare thee to something what the cat just dragged in?
Forsooth! It's celebrity historical time again! And following the visits to Charles Dickens and Queen Victoria, The Doctor decides to go further back in time to meet William Shakespeare, with an awestruck Martha in tow.
You know the drill by now. Somehow the famous face from the past gets embroiled in a fiendish alien plot to either kill lots of people off and/or take over the world. Maybe that's one of the reasons why The Shakespeare Code feels rather stale and lifeless. Doctor Who doesn't really work when it follows a set pattern, and yet in the 21st century stories, the order of the first few stories normally goes something like this: Present day action adventure; Historical romp; futuristic wonder (feel free to switch the order at any...

With the 66th WorldCon coming to a close in Denver, the winners of the annual Hugo Awards have been announced by the World Science Fiction Society and "Doctor Who" is a big winner. Steven Moffat and director Hettie Macdonald won Best Dramatic Presentation-Short Form for their episode "Blink," considered to be a "Doctor Who"-lite episode from the show's third season. It beat out a very tough field that included the "Batlestar Galactica" telemovie "Razor" written by Michael Taylor and directed by Emmy-nominated Felix Enriquez Alcala; the "Human Nature" and "The Family of Blood" two-parter of "Doctor Who" written by Paul Cornell and directed by Charles Palmer; the fan-produced "World Enough and Time" from "Star Trek: New Voyages" written by Michael Reaves and Marc Scott Zicree ...
