American combat professional Tim Larkin has criticised Simon Cowell for supporting 16-year-old Curtis Moore. Photographs of Moore carrying a lock-knife have surfaced online, while another picture features him gesturing at the camera with his hands pointed like guns. Moore confessed on the ITV1 show that he had turned to theft and robbery following the death of his brother. However, he did not mention ever being involved in knife crime. Speaking at the site in Islington where Ben Kinsella was murdered, Larkin spoke out against Cowell's decision to allow the contestant through to the second round of the competition.
