Denise Borino-Quinn, a Season 2 featured player on The Sopranos who was plucked from obscurity by David Chase, has passed away after a long battle with liver cancer. She was 46 years old.
She was working at a law office in New Brunswick, New Jersey and just starting out in show business when she was picked from 14,000 wannabes at an open casting call for a regular Sopranos role. Borino-Quinn, 46, played Ginny Sacrimoni, the constantly-cooking wife of Johnny Sack.
On her episodes, Ginny pretended to be on a diet for the benefit of her husband, but actually hides candy and treats all over the house. Aww. Apparently Borino-Quinn continued to work at the law office even after she was cast. Double aww. Rip.

After more than two weeks of a very public feud between Cablevision and Fox, the two companies agreed to a new carriage contract that restored Fox channels to more than 3 million homes in the greater New York area.
It wasn't a happy ending, however. "Cablevision has agreed to pay Fox an unfair price for multiple channels of its programming including many in which our customers have little or no interest," the company said in a statement.
Cablevision had called for the FCC to intervene in the dispute, but when it became clear the government agency would not get involved, Cablevision relented, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
