- (July 25) Told Miami Dolphins head coach Dave Wannstedt he was quitting football. On July 28, Williams told The Miami Herald he failed a third drug test for marijuana, which would have meant a four-game suspension. He rushed for 6,354 yards and 41 touchdowns during his 5 year career.
