Newsmax’s right-wing panel show “The Right Squad” was reduced to an incomprehensible screaming match Friday during a debate over the killing of Jordan Neely.
Neely, a homeless street artist, was choked to death by U.S. Marine veteran Daniel Penny on a New York subway earlier this month after the former began shouting he was hungry, thirsty and had little to live for. Neely had allegedly been acting erratically prior to Penny’s chokehold, but had not attacked anyone, a witness who recorded the incident told CNN. Neely’s death was ruled a homicide, and Penny has been charged with second-degree manslaughter for the fatal choke.
Newsmax host Jenn Pellegrino asked the panel if these charges marked “the beginning of the end of the Good Samaritan,” which sparked a lively shouting duel amongst the pundits.

Since DirecTV dropped Newsmax on Jan. 24, AT&T's stock has fallen by almost 7, wiping nearly 10 billion from its market value, as millions of US subscribers cancel their cable/phone services with DirecTV, majority-owned by AT&T and minority-owned, managed by Tpg Capital, as DirecTV continues to ‘deplatform’ conservative news network Newsmax “…while denying it cable fees on a fair and equitable basis…”:
But according to DirectTV:
"The same programming offered by Newsmax today is already available at no charge to 100 of U.S. households including our customers via NewsmaxTV.com, YouTube.com and on multiple streaming platforms like Amazon Fire TV, Roku and Google Play..."

The TV audience for Donald Trump appears to be waning — at least based on the former president’s Tuesday interview on Newsmax. The one-hour sit-down with Steve Cortes and Jenn Pellegrino averaged just 295,000 viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research data.
That’s less than half the eyeballs for a repeat of Food Network’s “Chopped,” which pulled in 651,000 on average in the midst of a multi-hour marathon of the cooking competition in the 9 p.m. timeslot. And it’s roughly a third of what Bravo scored for a new episode of “Real Housewives of New York.”
Oh, and HGTV’s “Unsellable Houses” aired a new episode that started at 9:01, pulling in 1.283 million total average viewers. That’s more than four times the audience for Trump’s sit-down with Cortes, a former top adviser on his 2020 re-election campaign who now co-hosts a primetime show for the right-wing Newsmax.
