Stuart Goldman is a journalist, screenwriter. A former pop music critic
for the Los Angeles Times, and the L.A. Daily News, Goldman was also
the first entertainment editor of the L.A. Weekly. He also had a weekly
column entitled, "Final Cut," which earned him the moniker "The
Journalistic Hitman." Goldman's penned first screenplay, The Bouncer
was based on his L.A.Reader profile of L.A.'s toughest bouncer, "Big
John." Goldman optioned several other screenplays before selling his
next film, "Snitch," to Phoenix Films who attached Oliver Stone to
direct the biopic, which was based on Goldman's expose of the tabloid
industry.
Today Goldman focus primarily on journalism and book writing (his first collection of short stories, "Tales Of A Fallen Jew," is set to be published in the Spring of 2009.
