Scott Burton is a sound designer, audio mixer and music producer for
Primal Scream, a unique production company that provides sound & music
for major advertising spots and movie trailers.
Scott Burton came to Los Angeles from South Texas by way of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Primal Scream's "go to" guy, Scott is highly regarded as audio engineer, editor and sound designer.
His most recent projects include mixing music for a beautiful Lexus spot, "Line", directed by Sean Thonson, with music by Peter Himmelman, and an SBC Yahoo! DSL campaign, directed by Robert Altman. Scott designed, mixed and edited sound and music for three spots that featured Lucy Liu, Liv Tyler and LL Cool J. He contributed sound design to a large campaign for Thrifty Rent-A-Car and has mixed and edited music for Universal Theme Parks in Orlando, Florida. He was credited as ADR Engineer for the USA Pictures film "The Kid Stays In The Picture", where he recorded the majority of the film's voice-over by legendary Hollywood producer Robert Evans.
Scott provided audio recording and encoding services to TAG Media (a.k.a. Razorfish L.A.) for Fox's "The Visitor" and Jim Henson Entertainment. He has engineered and done technical work for clients such as the J. Paul Getty Museum and Antenna Audio. Scott served as Second Engineer for Chris Bell/Mike Recording, and as Director of Audio Engineering for the streaming entertainment company Soundbreak.com. While at Soundbreak, he worked with such artists as Fat Boy Slim, BT, Joe Rogan (host of NBC's "Fear Factor"), Michael Chicklis (star of FX's "The Shield"), Ice T, Slash from Guns-N-Roses/Velvet Revolver, Good Charlotte, MXPX, Too Short and Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath.
As engineer, mixer and sound designer, Scott finely tunes the Primal Scream team. His flexibility in all areas of sound as well as his vast knowledge and exposure to music make him a key contributor to the Primal Scream team.
