Mihail Venkov graduated in Cinematography from the State Institute
of Cinematography, Moscow, in 1975. In 1975/92 he
worked as cameraman and director for Ekran TV Film Studio; since
1993, film director at BNT. His documentary Meetings with Peter Dimkov
won him Best Documentary, Directorial Debut and the Critics'
Awards at Golden Rhyton, Plovdiv '81. Selected filmography: Character
Requires Life-long Building (1988), Ilia Beshkov (1991), Veneta's
Choice (2000), the "Living Songs" series and 53 documentaries for
"The Human Comedy" TV show.
