The series, which explores the everyday challenges healthcare workers face in a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania emergency room, was produced by John Wells. R. Although "Star Trek: Voyager" concluded in 2001, multiple characters from the series have returned throughout the franchise at large to remind Trekkies that they all still exist and are still going about their Starfleet careers. Both Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) and Tuvok (Tim Russ) appeared on "Star Trek: Picard," with the former playing a regular role on the series. The reference-heavy "Star Trek: Lower Decks" makes "Voyager" references all the time, and even had an episode set on board the U.S.S. Voyager. 

Most notably, Captain Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) not only had a cameo in the 2002 film "Star Trek: Nemesis," but a holographic version of the character played a large role in the animated series "Star Trek: Prodigy." When season three of Star Trek: Picard began, there were some missing faces. Some, we didn't expect to see as their stories wrapped up in season two, like Captain Cristobal Rios [Santiago Carbrera] who chose to remain the past. Isa Briones's Soji character only returned briefly for season two and Briones played an entirely different character who ended up going with Wil Wheaton's Traveler. We're not quite sure what happened to Evan Evagora's Elnor, but Allison Pill's Dr. Agnes Jurati joined with the Borg Queen who became a benevolent form...at least for that queen.

Max’s upcoming medical procedural “The Pitt” has added nine new actors to its cast, Variety has learned.

The new cast members will star alongside previously announced series lead Noah Wyle as the “frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh,” per the official logline. Max has given a 15-episode order to the series.

The new series regulars are: Tracy Ifeachor, Patrick Ball, Supriya Ganesh, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Gerran Howell, Shabana Azeez and Katherine Lanasa.

R. Scott Gemmill will write the first episode and executive produce the series alongside Wyle, John Wells of John Wells Productions (Jwp) and Jwp’s Erin Jontow, Simran Baidwan, and Michael Hissrich. Warner Bros. Television, where Jwp is under an overall deal, is the studio.

A couple days ago, we saw the first image from the live-action TV series inspired by the Goosebumps books written by R.L. Stine that’s coming to the Disney+ and Hulu streaming services next month. Now a full trailer for the show has arrived online, and it reveals that Goosebumps is going to premiere on Friday, October 13th!

According to The Wrap, the first five episodes of the show’s ten episode first season will be available to watch on Disney+ and Hulu as of October 13th, premiering as part of Disney+’s “Hallowstream” and Hulu’s “Huluween” celebrations. The remaining five episodes will be released on a weekly basis. And if you want to watch the first two episodes on TV instead of on a streamer, they’ll also be airing on Freeform on October 13th, part of the channel’s 31 Nights of Halloween” programming.

The series, which is based on R.L. The Dec. 15 special, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the film’s best picture nomination — the first animated feature to earn that honor — has added Martin Short, David Alan Grier, Shania Twain, Rizwan Manji, Jon Jon Briones and Leo Abelo Perry to its cast. They join an ensemble led by Grammy winner H.E.R. as Belle and Josh Groban as the Beast; Joshua Henry also stars, and Rita Moreno will narrate the special.

Only Murders in the Building star Short will play Lumiere. Tony winner Grier (A Solider’s Play, The Patient) will play Cogsworth, while Grammy winner and country music star Twain will play Mrs. Potts and Perry her son, Chip. Manji (Schitt’s Creek) plays Gaston’s (Henry) sidekick, LeFou, and Briones (Ratched) will play Belle’s father, Maurice.

Martin Short, Shania Twain and David Alan Grier are confirmed for ABC’s upcoming special Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Anniversary, playing Lumière, Mrs. Potts and Cogsworth, respectively. Rounding out the cast of the two-hour hybrid animated/live-action special are Rizwan Manji, Jon Jon Briones and Leo Abelo Perry.

They join previously announced H.E.R. as Belle, Josh Groban as the Beast, Joshua Henry as Gaston, and Rita Moreno as narrator.
