Jim Malloy is an award winning author and artist, a songwriter, producer, director and actor.
Author: Malloy has written two Mom's Choice Gold Award winning children's books, entitled The Look Cookers and Return Of the Look Cookers; and under the pen name of Hugh James, has written a medical mystery thriller, Pins & Needles and Lifeline, a oddball, coming of age mystery set in a hotel.
Artist: Jim Malloy is an award winning abstract painter. His artwork is known for its raw style, vibrant colors and bold, abstract style.
He is a resident artist at RPAC Art Center and Gallery in Ridgefield, Connecticut.
Malloy is also a participating member of Ridgefield Guild of Artists, Society of Creative Arts in Newtown Ct, Stamford Art Association, Richter Association for the Arts in Danbury CT, the Kent Art Association in Kent CT and the New Canaan Society for the Arts Carriage Barn Arts Center.
Producer/Director: In addition to writing and producing several local television programs, Malloy produced, directed and edited three promotional scenes for the book Let's Try This Again by Jordan Woodtke.
Actor: Malloy played the role of the Game Warden in the creature feature, Cryptid, due to be released in 2022.
Songwriter: He is a member in good standing of ASCAP performing rights organization and long time member of Broadjam. He has written the intro themes and cues for the narrative podcasts Protean City Comics and Outstanding. He is a prolific songwriter who plays guitar, piano, bass, and several other instruments.
